norbold 7,135 Posted October 27, 2017 (edited) That surely deserves a thread of its own - longest association with one club Ronnie Moore and Wimbledon. 1950-1972 (on and off!) Edited October 27, 2017 by norbold
False dawn 2,306 Posted October 28, 2017 Ronnie Moore and Wimbledon. 1950-1972 (on and off!) Ah but can anyone beat Nigel's 18 consecutive seasons for the Bees. Now I've learned to spell.....
chunky 6,115 Posted October 28, 2017 (edited) Not at the top of the list, I know, but Johnsy deserves a mention for 16 years at Plough Lane. However, I know not every season was "full-time", but Thommo appeared for Hackney in 20 consecutive seasons. steve roberts 9,246 Posted October 28, 2017 That surely deserves a thread of its own - longest association with one club ...unfortunately wouldn't apply within the 'modern' era.
lucifer sam 3,954 Posted October 28, 2017 (edited) That surely deserves a thread of its own - longest association with one club I would imagine Chris Louis' 20 seasons at Ipswich (as a rider, rather than subsequently a promoter) would be hard to beat. norbold 7,135 Posted October 28, 2017 Not quite as long as some mentioned here, but Mike Broadbank managed 16 consecutive years for Swindon.

All the best Rob Chris Louis must be some sort of a rarity considering the influence of points limits and other factors that have been common place within British Speedway over the last twenty years or so?

Chris Louis' first year at Ipswich (1988) was as a rider from the lower league filling in for absent riders. In terms of consecutive seasons, Thommo has it, because Louis missed a season in the middle of the sequence. All the best Rob
