No idea why we were so twitchy at the tapes last night , maybe the pressure is getting to them .

What was the reason for the heat 13 pantomime after Cook broke the tapes ? First we could only go with 3 riders cause Cook had gotten a previous warning , then Sedgmen was in , then Cook was back in but off 15 metres . Bit of a comedy there .

But over the piece Newcastle wanted it more and deserved the win , good to see Adam Roynon riding really well again .

Then you had Newcastle's guest , Aaron Summers , punching the air in delight crossing the line first in heat 13 , guess he must feel some kind of resentment because we let him go a couple of seasons ago .

Summers punches the air when he gets a race win these days .:)

If riders like  Lawson Brennan and Kerr are not getting paid at there club which seems to be the case then these riders would be of great interest to Glasgow

the ref did not have a clue said cookie had a warning in ht 1 but he never got one as no one told him then the ref said we couldn’t have a replacement because it was his second offence then changed it to having a reserve then changed it again once he realised he never warned cookie and he could go off 15mtrs a lot of the riders were complaining about how long the ref was holding the tapes

Class performance from the lads… it’s a shame this was not the meeting in front of the massive crowd from last week.

Decent track with some great passes especially from Roynon and Clegg who were awesome. A full team performance with Archie improving every week and James Wright unlucky losing his steel shoe in last ride.

Onwards and Upwards!

He did hold the tapes a ridiculously long time

I guess when you don’t win that many races these days then when you do it must be difficult to contain your excitement. :D

Craig Cook was warned after heat 5 for moving as Barry announced to the crowd. That was after he had tried to jump and made a complete mess of it. Yes the referee held the tapes a long time, but he did that the whole meeting. I noticed your team manager was still berating the referee after the meeting.

This was one of the best meetings ever at Newcastle. It takes two sides to make a meeting, Newcastle just outfought Glasgow. Adam Roynon might have been the star man but the whole TEAM were the Stars. Special mention to Connor Mountain for his race in heat 10 when Stevie Worrall bust a gut to try and pass him even though he had more speed. Stevie caught up with him after the race to shake his hand and have a  few words. Could that have been Aaron Summers last race at Brough and why he was so pleased at the win ?

He'll be counting down the wins till the end of season before returning to OZ.

As for next week, parent Jake Mulford and Dan Gilkes both in the under 19s too? So Kent will be missing noth reserves and well ve missing one... all 3 are 1 star reserves too, so we need to act quick in getting the best one available before Kent do... Jordan Palin and Jenkins are presumably in under 19s also? Who else is available at 1 star. Greg Blair maybe?

Newcastle have a 3 star allowance at reserve, due to their initial team building averages being so low. Therefore, no need to restrict your options to 1 star riders.

This was definitely not one of the best meetings ever at Newcastle,  I have seen Glasgow lose there many times but still seen some great racing round Brough Park but not on Sunday.

This was the worst meeting I have been to this season it was FTG in the most part then follow the leader round the curb because if you went out wide you went backwards. The referee didn't help matters by holding the tapes really long. Riders from both sides were moving, as starts were so important.

The scores being close throughout does not make it a thriller when you do not see any overtaking, that would be tense . Prepare a race track and you might be entertained.

Credit to the Newcastle riders on their hard fought victory. Adam Roynon was outstanding hopefully he can continue in this vain and avoid injury.

A thought Summers had been woeful as a guest, but his ht13 ride was a match winner for us. If he hadn't have passed Wells, it could've turned out so different.
