Can see them waiting till about 6.00pm.

Maybe? Maybe they have, but like a lot of things in speedway they simply get swept under the carpet.
Baldyman 6,243 Posted September 30, 2021 I don't think anyone would question it,,, as it may be their turn to have their back scratched next

Fair comment but it's not just the physical setting up (which presumably would then remain in situ until a restaging), there's also satellite costs, broadcast time to fill etc.

Ace no.5 169 Posted September 30, 2021 Can't really see that with BV already having sold hundreds of tickets for next Thursday... Sheffield ran a meeting last Sunday so would that not be a possibility? Regardless, most of the heavy and persistent rain has passed overnight and this morning. Still the threat of showers this afternoon but fingers crossed, if the track is ok now, with the breeze constantly drying it out too, we will be good to go. Depends how many riders both sides would be happy to have missing as theres a championship play off match on sunday that gets priority Redcar v Edinburgh so no Pickering , R Worrall or Wright
ouch 1,191 Posted September 30, 2021 Connor Mountain guested in place of Jordan Palin in the Tigers v Panthers meeting. He scored 8+1 and won the meeting for the Panthers. The only caveat to this post is that the rules could have been rewritten more than once without letting anyone know. Might use “under the counter rules” similar to Mountains “under the counter” average. 012.4 Facilities – page 113 D1) Absent Rising Star – Same star rider or lower. Palin 1 replaced by Mountain 4. SUPERACE 440 Posted September 30, 2021 First visit to Sheffield in years so really looking forward to this meeting, hopefully the weather holds off. This tie can go either way and I have a feeling that who ever wins it will win the final.
