I'd imagine that the BSPA would want assurances that Birmingham can field a full team because of the issues it would cause if they couldn't, especially with the Brummies being the first on the streaming service at Berwick.

Also, I'm sure Birmingham wouldn't continue to do track work, pit upgrades and a new airfence if there was any doubt about coming to the tapes.

What you say is right....but it's the quality of the 7 riders...... that remains the question?

If the 5th signing is an untried young Aussie on a 4.00 average, then that really doesn't hold much weight from where I'm sitting.

Adam Ellis esq needs to be signed!

It's obvious its not going to be AE.....there wouldn't be a hold up with paperwork etc ?

Keeps us talking/guessing I suppose.

P.s The track does look great though and I'm sure it will be great for the 'away' teams ! :D

I think last season proved that there are some very good Aussie 4 pointers around - if you have the right contacts to bring them over.

The 4 named plus McGuiness and Keleher would give us a team of real racers who would entertain although  an out and our number 1 would still be needed, would be acceptable to many genuine supporters

Have you seen McGuiness ride before? “Real racer” wouldn’t be the description I used.

But is McGuiness one of them?

Last season he averaged 2.57 in Denmark (League 1). For comparison:

Ben Basso 9.24

Tobias Thomsen 7.20

Jacob Bukhave 6.84

Mika Meijer (Neth) 3.80

Nick Agertoft 3.46

Maja Aamand 3.23 (one of the world's top 3 female riders)

Henry van der Steen (Neth) 3.14

I'd say those stats rule him out ...may be its Chris Holder :D

Can't help but wonder what the hit on season ticket sales has been resulting from the uncertainty about team composition and competitiveness.

Was a time when season ticket sales took place in person at the stadium, but that stopped a few weeks ago. Has the well run dry?
