Redcar v Newcastle Tyne Tees Trophy 25/03/22

Recommended Posts

Weather looks set fair for the first match at the newly named Ecco Arena.

Not sure what to expect in terms of result with a few new faces for both teams, just hoping for a good safe meeting and a decent crowd.

Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the Updates site? If so, could you please send me a private message which includes your mobile number.

Thanks

Expecting a pretty comfortable win for the Bears tbh, but I'm just excited that the season is upon us. It may take the likes of Lee and George a few weeks to settle in and show us what they're capable of. Fingers crossed it will be a closer result than I'm expecting... I'm gonna say 55-35 to the Bears. Good luck to all riders.

Certainly a good early benchmark for the reserves with the Redcar pairing probably the lowest combined averages in the league (but certainly capable) against the new and returning Diamonds pair. Also intrigued to see how BWD copes as a number 1? personally i think he has what it takes but a lot will depend on him this year.

Only Poole's reserves on lower aves than Redcar's.

Jenkins should be the highest scoring reserve, but expect Edwards to score 1-2 & Congreave 0-1.

Has the potential to be a cricket score in Redcar's favour this meeting.

Edwards is way better than that. Very impressed with him when was guesting for the enemy at the end of last season

No Starkey for Newcastle?

He missed Ipswich's P&P due to covid.

Jason Edwards is a great prospect and will prove to be a good signing for Redcar imo.
