if council bods are going to be present understand completely the logic of getting as many families as possible in the stadium, but really, giving hundreds of kids whistles ,bad thinking shocking idea.if theyre keen on families why didnt they have accompanied under16s free allsummer holidays??

Agreed

Many Clubs do under 16s free some Family Tickets, some Student under 22 discounts.

Strange Poole have suddenly gone Under 16s free for a Council visit.

Stranger still when getting good crowds they discount adult tickets to a tenner when they don't need to.

Could well alienate locals and probably Council will be very aware of usual crowd dynamic anyway.

Why meddle?

Maybe the rumour this is last year and not 2023 is true after all?

Never heard that rumour, unless it was one you started? A couple of posters said when the rent was agreed it was fir this year and next year. Also I think the regeneration of Poole is supposed to be from 2024 onwards or decisions by then. @Skidder1 seems to be on top of what is happening, so maybe he is the one to ask?

Senior Council members are usually invited at least once every season. I expect Matt will also come over from France to schmooze them. The Council are looking at all sorts of new plans across the whole Poole Bournemouth Christchurch conurbation which won't be finally announced til autumn 2024 at the earliest, so the Pirates should have at least another 2 seasons at Poole Stadium and then who knows?

but do we trust them with the future of our sport in poole?????????

Where prime Real Estate is involved money talks and no doubt someone will be tapping up Harry Redknapp for some very big brown envelopes for Councillors gratuities.

Then given it is a major development site I suggest establishing what positions the three main Parties are taking on it.

My talent spot from 4 years a go at Rye House as he rode in the junior meeting prior to Rye House vs Poole which was being shown live on BT.

I was in the crowd that evening & Nathan along with Max Perry really impressed.

Fully behind you Nathan :t:
