Wolves v Tigers 26/9

Recommended Posts

Those in charge really ought to think before playing about with fixtures and various tournaments and scheduling a list of meetings. League meetings should take priority and the league positions decided by the end of August with play offs and final in first two weeks in September. Cup and pairs take place in September and October so that clubs who did not make the play offs still have something to race for and retain fans interest. Too much to ask that those in charge have a brain between them and act in the best interest of the fans and the sport. Farcical situation that the top tier finds itself in towards the end of September in a seven month season with a league of just six teams. Yes British speedway is a shambles and we can all guess who is to blame.

And this is why Poland, Denmark, Sweden are finished playoffs or nearly finished, and they often start later too.

Interestingly of course, Poland just have one home/away league meeting between clubs, so although they've got 8 teams in the Ekstraliga, they only have to squeeze in 56 matches, as opposed to the Premiership's 60 ... ahh ... blimey, if only the Premiership had two fixed race nights per week and more than 20 weeks to stage the matches ...

That's not the point,,, but ya never know,, a couple of engine failures a tapes break and an exclusion,

And it would be an even bigger defeat than usual :D

Obvious isnt it?

Run the league, done and dusted by August..

Run the Cups in September..

Run the National Championships/League Rider Championships in October...

Best weather, school hols, no domestic football to compete with..

Who knows...

Winning a league title may even get some publicity..:D

And sort the guest nonsense out and it might even get a sponsor.....:o

We will have Peterborough and Kings Lynn riders in the play offs, so some "lucky losers" could win a title...

And/or finish runners up as well....:D

Belle Vue will now be reliant on some of those lucky losers or they will just be known as losers
