Bit of sad news, Mervyn Stewkesbury has passed away, after a long illness, if it wasn't for him, there may not have been speedway at Poole today . RIP

Oh no that's very sad. We had some superb gatherings at the Stewkesbury homes back in the day with Merv, Pete  Jackie and Ros. R.I.P. Mervyn:cry:

Great Obituary on the BSPL website today with very nice words from Chris Van Stratten and Rosco!

Will never forget one of Mervyn’s first signings for Weymouth back in 1980 on a FREE transfer from Reading……Simon Wigg…..That has to be one of the best transfers ever.

Does that free up enough space for Rew to replace Rowe…or is Zischke due back on a bike soon?

Is that Poole going back to being brutal with changes to their team? Redcar must have given you a fright.

Not a Poole fan but Rew in for the challenge match and Hagen felt like a trial run.

If Hagon is coming in for roynon, which would seem harsh, then Rew or the other Aussie makes sense, has Rowe completed a UK season yet above NL?

the Polish u24s run on a Wednesday don’t they? Pretty common knowledge that’s where his priorities are

Rowe has done well so far this season. Done exactly what is expected of him. Adam though has tailed off after a bright start. Silly falls allowing points to slip, followed by tailed off on Wednesday don’t bode well. If he goes Plymouth will surely jump in for him.

I can’t see Rowe lasting just due to him, not performances.

Roynon to Plymouth would make sense but who for? They won’t drop Trigger and can’t imagine Turner being dropped this soon, they did with Goret though I guess

Nothing from Poole about any changes, that rumour came from Lewy
