Lawson was on a big guarantee at Lakeside and Eastbourne courtesy of Jon Cook in an era where guarantees were getting out of hand. He can't have a guarantee any more so riders will gravitate to Clubs who can guarantee income in another way. It won't be illegal for any Club linked sponsor to say offer 3 new bikes and a van... I didn't think it was as far back as 2014-15 he was in gps, but i don't think we will see much better form from him now a good rider when he wants tho.
