iris123 21,029 Posted October 25, 2022 Yes, i think the Belgium rider had got a bit mixed up, and instead of travelling to Portsmouth, Hampshire in 1935 had instead taken the boat to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which happens to be in the US and A. On realising his mistake, he went to New York, where he met Benny Kaufman, quite possibly had a coffee with Jimmy Gibb and had an offer to join the Putt Mossman troupe.
