Leicester finished their league fixtures on July 24th. They did not have plenty of free dates: the only free date for other competitions came later but no other team was prepared to fulfil the fixture.

It’s a sport wide issue and a result of bad planning overall. Not just down to Leicester.

Edit: This is one of the major flaws of the sport being self governed. Clubs should declare any dates their home stadium is unavailable on their race night for the season then be given a fixture list to adhere to. No fannying about because Rider X is riding in his national championship, that’s the meeting taking place that week end of. The fixture list should contain a few blank weeks to fit in rain offs. The league and cup should be wrapped up by the end of August. September and October can be used for individuals, fillers etc.

I reckon there will only be one promotion change. And that will be at Peterborough

buster wont sell lynn. If he does it will be to Brady and he’s over in Australia

With the big announcement at Peterborough being delayed from last week ,  it might not be the club sale that has caused an issue but the agreement with the developers to allow the sport to continue at the showground for a further period as the agreements are now with a different owner of the club

But in Lynn's case its possible  its already been sorted with Brady before his Australian trip

So when they reconvene, the meeting room might be prepared differently to the practice session then? That could catch could catch some promoters out and affect their decision making.

Some promoters will show the right desire to the new meeting room chosen , whereas some might not put the effort in to get there point across and reach there goals

The shortage of eggs at the pre AGM  Wetherspoon Breakfast Bash caused chaos as egg replacement wasn't available. Premiership promoters claimed priority, but were out voted and had to scramble for more bacon. It all made a hash brown of things! The Chairman was blamed for the deal that had given one egg supplier (Hen-ilass)  an exclusive supplier agreement.

I'd like to see them shake-up the play-offs to reward the sides that finish higher, it's absurd that they go into them with no advantage over a team that finished in the bottom half. Something like;

1st v 2nd - 1 leg, winner straight to the final

3rd v 4th - 1 leg, loser knocked out

Loser of 1st/2nd v winner of 3rd/4th - 1 leg, winner goes to the final

Final still to be held over 2 legs

Of course that would need the league to be completed first which might prove difficult but the side that finishes top does at least get some reward for doing so. 2nd still have 2 chances to make the final whilst 3rd and 4th have a more difficult route which should be the case in such a small division. It also makes the final league fixtures more relevant rather than the top 4 being pretty much sorted a month in advance with nobody overly bothered where they finish.

If there is 6 teams play offs with four them is still a bit crazy, why not whoever finishes top goes straight through to the final and then 2nd and 3rd have a two legged semi final?

Few things to iron out.

1. Who's going to make the Tea/Coffee. Named scraps of paper will be chucked into a shoe box.  If no box is found, Chris Harris will take a guest booking and use his  helmet.

2. Will the hot drinks be served with Custard Creams or Bourbons. That will depend on the cut off date. Bourbons until 1pm. Except for Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will be required in Poland.

3. Triple check everything to stop Belle Vue from finding any loopholes again. You have more chance of finding rocking horse sh@t.

I filled in the blanks.

The majority of the people on this forum moaned about how the 2022 season was run, yet the same faces are moaning that the results of the AGM have been delayed. Good grief...if it takes a couple of days longer to get it right for 2023, it's worth it isn't it?

I'd much rather they took their time and improved the product. Whether they actually do improve it is another thing, but give them a chance at least. Moan afterwards if necessary!

And personally I'm glad they said there's been a delay, that's already an improvement on keeping everyone completely in the dark for two days.

Maybe it’s to do with new owners at 2 clubs requiring a different league?

Panthers don't want a new league. Tomalin has said they're riding in the premier League

Didn't Sheffields Master Bates say recently that it would be a 6- team Premiership??

No point in Tomlain buying the club to run at Championship level though as he would lose money.

Nobody outside of the die hards would be splashing cash to watch watered down Championship product with journey men making up an engine room.

No local derbies either.

If Peterborough are dropping down then and as stated theres 9 teams in the championship with 16 home 16 away  league matches and 6 in premiership which team is not running   ?
