Have Scunthorpe :D:D:D

Scunthorpe will not have the facility extended as a 28 day facility is all that was granted , so there will be a new rider or possibly 2 riders after Scunthorpe’s two away midweek meetings at Plymouth and Birmingham. If Zaine had his injury in Britain he would have been able to have the guest ruling . But as Plymouth abused this last season by letting Eddie Kennett ride less than a lap in a home meeting and then having a guest all season for him the rule book was tightened up .

Rob Godfrey is the Chairman of the BSPA but he alone doesn’t make the rules ,so Scunthorpe have to abide by the rule book and find a replacement after Wednesdays meeting at Birmingham

3 Double Headers in the fixture list so probably 6 meetings for 3 weeks rent

Aye, that will be the reason. I can understand why they do it, but many canny justify paying entry for it.

Factually incorrect,Kennett started 3 races and pulled out of his 4th ride,no rules were broken Eddie had all the medical certification required for Plymouth to use a guest as per rules, the precedent had already been set. Things maybe different this season but 8 wouldn't hold my breath.

But he will miss Redcar`s meeting this week at Birmingham tomorrow night and then at Redcar on Friday for their home match against Scunthorpe. It remains to be seen whether he takes his place at Ipswich on Monday for their local derby match against Kings Lynn.

Just to clarify.  Erik Riss was suspended by the SCB for riding in Germany last week.    Redcar have a 28-day facility to cover the suspension, hence Lawson's guest appearances.

Correct they did

Steve Worrall broke his Tibula and Fibula in a home meeting against Redcar

that is why Scunthorpe were allowed a facility

Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see Scunny get an extension! I'm guessing that means Wolves will have to find a replacement for Becker too? Can't have different rules for different teams!

This was the information from the Scunthorpe website ahead of their first match:

Meanwhile, Scorpions head into the season one man down – Zaine Kennedy faces a spell on the sidelines after a mountain bike fall in his native Australian left him with broken bones in his back. Scorpions have been granted an initial 28-day-facility, with the possibility of an extension

Typical speedway, rules open to interpretation ( depending on Promotion).

Zaine has broken his back and Scunthorpe we’re granted a 28 day facility to replace him , this has now been withdrawn so from the 5 th of May this will cease and the Scorpions will have to re declare there 1 to 7 new line up and have it approved by the  BSPA committee members

The rule book should have been tightened up after 2018 when scunny ran with guests for steve Worrall. Scunthorpe set the precedent.  I'll be very surprised if Scunthorpe have to re declare their 1-7 as you seem to think, I'm sure there will be a new rule in the pipeline, happy to be proved  wrong though.

Not much choice on Weds for Redcar when they are at Oxford with three meetings going on! Definitely can't use Lawson this time. Be out of Glasgow, Edinburgh or Berwick.
