I save the pictures to my mobile, then upload them using https://imgbb.com/

Hit ‘Start Uploading’, select your photo, then ‘Upload’ and when it’s generated, make sure to change the drop down to ‘BBCode full linked”. Then, just copy-and-paste it in here.

When I post I've got a "Click to choose files" option at the bottom of the posting window. Click that and point to your picture

Yep trying that but there's an error message, either the image is too large or there 'is a problem' uploading the image. Booooo.

Try my suggestion further up. It’s much more effort than @iainb’s, but works for me.
