Was the car park alright to get out of last night? - assumed it would be a mess with the rain in the week

I imagine a lot of us have strong opinions on drug taking, drug testing and the disciplinary process, but they are best aired in the generally away from a single specific case - particularly one about which the facts are not yet known/in the public domain

From my understanding Lee has already tested positive for something and they are awaiting a second result to confirm it. Same manner in which Nick Morris and Ritchie Worrall's tests were conducted last season. If the second test comes back with the same result he will be looking at a season ending ban. Until then he is suspended.

It was fine - much better than people had said to be honest.

Lots of editing going on in someone's posts on here

Silly thing is if the original post has been quoted it stays in the original quote.

Somebody had a few to many in the black and gold before heading home last night?

Hope it’s no true as I really like Complin as a rider but from what everyone who was at the meeting last night was saying, it seems like this is going to end only one way.
Will be the first to hold my hands up if I’m wrong

There were a number of stories doing the rounds at the meeting, what you hear just depends on who you talk to. We'll just have to wait and see.

Drug taking in sport brings huge shame on the participant and the club he/she represents. The can be no excuse as every sportsperson knows what and whatnot is acceptable to take in this day and age. I should imagine a quick look online will bring up all relative info needed to stay on the right side of the rules. Any doubt, ask before taking!

No sympathy with anyone caught breaking the rules on illegal substances.

Be interesting to find out the truth. Was Complin at the meeting or did he go straight home?

Too much of this thread rightly or wrongly has been dedicated to the Lee Complin discussion since last nights meeting, it would be nice to move the focus back to what was a very enjoyable meeting.

I wasn’t overly high on Glasgows team coming in to the season but given they have a team full of ex Bandits and Sheilfield Park specialists I knew they would provide a stiff test at home and I’m mightily happy to come away with the victory.

Lewi Kerr was impressive to say the least, I really feared the worst when it was 33-33 with four races to go but the boys were fantastic and every single one of them contributed to another good win.

I am hopeful we can give them as good as run for their money at Ashfield as they did for us last night and although it will be extremely difficult to get the aggregate bonus point I wouldn’t say it is out of the question.

I don't know. I didn't see him and I didn't ask. He wasn't on the track walk (but I'm guessing the rules wouldn't allow him to stay in the pits or with the team anyway).

What a nasty hateful thing to say but then again no surprise when you see who's saying it.

Was a joke cheer up.

As someone who has whizzed into many a cup for work and in fact been involved in the administration for  testing when I was in college.

If they are using the 10 strip test kit, it will have flagged up and indicated what it's detected.

Cocaine is one of the strips, opiates is another strip, amphetamine, benzodiazipine  etc etc. The rider and tester will have seen what's flagged up. So they are the only ones who will know exactly which strip has flagged up.

Certain OTC or Prescription painkillers will flag up containing an opiate, decongestants can flag as amphetamines.

Riders should as far as I know be supplied with a list of all band substances, which they can make their doctor aware of so they prescribe around the list.

But don't forget they are operating to WADA standards in a sport that's underfunded at best and riders who are part time racers full time other jobbers, they don't have nutritionists and medical teams surrounding them.

If a mistake has been made from a prescription drug then consideration should be taken.

If recreational drugs have been used, then the book should be flung at the rider.

But watching the Keyboard warrior brigade spouting utter clueless nonsense is hilarious.

You couldn`t be more wrong, especially in the case of Leon Flint.

Leon has been carrying this team for a couple of years. Nothing wrong with a change of scenery. I reckon we haven’t seen the last of him in Bandits colours

Surely as a neutral it was better to see Pijper cover 3 of the 4 rides than a lesser rider cover all 4

I get what you are saying of course i do,but when its a team sport fans want to  see 4 riders in EVERY heat.As i said before i pick my matches if i think the teams are equally matched i might get on the road a drive miles to watch, this is not about Lee Complin its about watching team racing .If it was a superstar rider that wasnt allowed to race then what,or a team were already using R/R,then what.Luckily this match was still tight but even that i love to come to places like Berwick, its making me think im under valued as a fan.The testing is great ,dont get me wrong but im just talking from a fans point of view.
