The problem was in those earlier heats they were gate 4's which wasn't working at all. -

I really don’t see any of the championship clubs coming up so it looks at first glance like a top league of 6 teams, whether that’s enough for TNT to keep the TV money in the sport remains to be seen, their surely isn’t enough riders for one big league. -
The major stumbling blocks to one league (which is the obvious option given the nunbers next season), are the TV money going far more ways, and the riders not being able to double up... The guestfests too that will happen, if the GP/Polish Top League riders remain, (I cannot however see how they can given the TV money drop), on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, also won't do the sport any favours, given these lads could have conrtacts across Sweden, Denmark and Poland... It will very much be a "Championship Lite" level of competition, which, personally should have happened well over a decade ago when Poland took over, and the Sky money stopped, and pretty much all the "top riders" all elected to clear off... However, instead of ploughing their own furrow and being in charge of then own destiny, they restricted their own businesses by working around other countries, especially Poland.. Worked well didn't it?

remember a couple of seasons ago semi-final you had a 24 point lead with 11 heats to go and nearly blew it.

He’s down to be riding for them next Saturday 28th too, so we will need another guest for Berwick away

I totally agree ive followed semi professional football for years and have a season ticket for Ashton United, travelling around grounds in the Northern Premier League and other leagues around the country attendences at many grounds are better than the reported numbers given at a lot of speedway tracks. I also think the Championship is a better product, more tracks suited to good racing Scunny, Redcar, Workington, Glasgow for example, more variety not seeing the same team every other week, and as we saw at the British Final you dont need a GP line up to produce good racing. Where Premiership speedway goes from here is anyones guess.
