Dog rubbish on the centre green brought speedway back to Cradley Heath !  Local Cradley football team "The Lukes " had Dudley Wood Stadium for their home ground in the '50s but regularly had to complain to the owners about the mess. . When one player slipped and fell on it and broke his leg it was the last straw.
