Surely Jody Scott would be top of the list for bringing back. I've not seen anything yet about whether a team can or can't have 2 riders over 8 (or whatever average) for 2027. So I'm going to guess Klindt and Wright would both be wanted back. If not, then maybe Ace Pijper as I expect him to be back. Redcar seem to be about the only team that someone hasn't claimed to have already signed Tate Zischke, so maybe I should start that rumour 🤣

Your options of a guest at No.7 won’t work for the paying public if one of the absentees is the teams No.1. Option 2 is a non starter if it’s your top two that are missing. Option 3 which could be called the ‘Buster’ option, would be the obvious go to for call offs to avoid a spanking. Speedway’s biggest problem (in the UK) is the ability gap between the riders at No.1 and No.7. In the same team. Yes it is that simple and is the reason we have points limits on team building, an obsession with averages, guests, R/R, protected races, tactical subs and doubling up. Stand to be corrected, but that has always been the case throughout the history of the sport. There is no other sport in the world which tries to implement rules in an attempt to balance out the ability of people competing directly against each other (other than levels of golf maybe). Without enough riders and facilities for more ability focused leagues, I don’t have the answer to this disparity, other than trying to level the field with equipment (electric bikes?) but this would seemingly punish the top riders who’ve invested time and money to be at the forefront of the sport. -
I agree if he makes the gate he's quick but if he's behind doesn't pass many.

We tend to make a big display of them all from over the years, so several tins are usually required.😇
