Seems the new owner's are changing quite a bit, and to be fair, probably the right thing to do, start with a complete overhaul. The Kevin Long thing isn't something we didn't know about as he said at the Presentation Evening in November he was retiring, bit surprised by the Love in Yesterday, as he got rewarded on Presentation evening. Yes he has been very loyal, and as ive been going since 1980, he was one of the better ones in the League over a long period of time, but things change, and i know he will be hard to replace, but he will be replaced and we hope the next person in is just as good, over the past few years in my opinion, there are certainly better people on the microphones at other clubs than Kevin, So Thanks again Mr Long for your service, but definitely the right time to be walking away. As for the Chris Louis Video, watched it....Once, That's enough, Move On. As it's been said by so many people(And i'm not saying they are wrong)we are lucky we have got Speedway At Foxhall for 2026,but for me this season, i certainly will watch Kings Lynn at home most weeks and hopefully the odd Thursday trip to Leicester, not forgetting supporting Jordan Jenkins for the odd weekend up in Redcar. So thankfully the Speedway diary is as full as can be expected, Manchester included, so let's get it started. -
There will be a need to put in the appropriate electrics & controls for a starting gate, and lights for starting procedures, green x 2, the four rider “exclusion” colours, and yellows for two minute warning protocols. I’m not sure if the required red “race stop” lights are already in situ for stox.

Yes, there is a box on the home straight where the steward, lap scorer, commentator, etc are housed, but people on this thread talking about what will need to be built keep including a ref's box so I assumed they were confident none of the existing infrastructure is suitable. 😉

They could bring him along to the Northampton Speedway grand opening to meet his speedway Bartosz namesake... I reckon a 7 May opening night, and plenty of time to fit 10 home league matches in. If it all happens, I'll be aiming to be at opening night as long as I haven't got any other commitment. -
He didn’t make much impact at Leicester City a few years ago
