Even Doyle was complaining that Nicki squeezed him a bit when he passed him,he has short memory some of the moves he has performed.Lindgren moves were hard but that's GP speedway now.Greg even gave Smarslik a touch of his own medicine. Some riders will be wanting indicators fitted next.!!!6 points

It looked to me that Magic misjudged his timing to cutback on emil & therefore was right to be excluded. From a Poole fan.5 points

When was the last time there were no speedway meeting scheduled on a Saturday during the season ?? Obviously not including rain offs ive been attending for 30 years and I cannot remember this ever happening before. Saturday night was the main race day for many clubs. Kings Lynn Coventry Cradley Belle Vue in the top flight. And also many more that rode in the national league. I guess that’s the price of having a Grand Prix and England giving in to everybody else.4 points

The answer to that is don’t expect the fans to flock back in droves when the promoters and riders decide to put on a meeting that suits a few. It is sad but as many will recall, Fridays and Saturdays and I guess Sunday were speedway days when fans would turn out in reasonable numbers irrespective of the forecast etc. They knew barring injury the regular 1 to 7 would turn out. Now if you are lucky it is fortnightly, team select is the name of the game in many cases and gate and go merchants with no real bike control, no team riding and poor entertainment from a racing perspective. For many riders it is, a case of p... off as soon as the last race is over. Years back riders would meet/talk to the paying punters and mutual respect existed. Today nothing. It really has reached an all time low and as I have said before, time to think of number 1 and start rebuilding speedway with riders who commit to weekly racing in the U.K. and racing on nights when the fans want to attend not when the riders and promoters expect the fans to turn up. None are bold enough but if each club took a straw poll of when fans would more frequently attend, it would interesting to see the result. For now and as long as the sport in the U.K. continues as is the days are numbered for many clubs. Don’t blame other nations blame the U.K. authorities for not standing up to others.4 points

I’m afraid it comes with the territory. Glasgow have spent big for a number of seasons now and massively underachieved. Worrall and at a push Sergeant aside none of the Tigers have any sort of affinity with the club and that really matters IMO.4 points

Great crowd and racing despite a Bees loss. Awesome noise from the Brummies fans and the Bees fans which all added to the atmosphere. Just like speedway used to bee !4 points

Why would I want to? I live full time in the lovely country of Australia , why on earth would I travel to Swindon or Poole to meet such a pair of emptyheads ?! Hes the one calling me out on hiding behind an alias! Shows how much he knows. As I said before its a pity when the doctors were operating on his brain they didnt replace the whole thing.4 points

If you sign a 2 point rider, you can’t say he is rubbish if that’s what he is scoring. If he was a 3 or 4 point reserve then that’s the average you would expect. A 2-3 pointer doesn’t suddenly become 3-4 points overnight and given time, Shanes possibly would have improved - but he wasn’t given enough time to show any improvement and became a scapegoat for a massively underperforming team4 points

Absolutely right. 'Win at all costs' in a sport that involves high speeds and no brakes is the sort of attitude that will result in serious injury or worse. It should never be the case that a rider has to come down for a referee to put on another's exclusion light. If a move is dangerous, its dangerous and it doesn't matter if someone falls. The question is had Woffinden fallen, who would have been excluded ? I think the best riders leave their opponents just enough room which means the opponents skill and bravery comes into play without them actually risking their neck. L Lindgren didn't do that and I can but wonder what he would have said if Dudek had pulled a similar move coming off the last bend in the final.4 points

(...) The most boring round in the SGP cycle is behind us. The BSI should think again and transfer this round to Czestochowa. Everyone knows that Prague is in the GP calendar only because half of the stadium is filled by Polish fans in white and red coulors.(...) (sportowefakty.pl)3 points

They used to get criticised for running the club on a shoestring and lack of investment. A case of damned if you do damned if you don't. Most seem to applaud investment in the sport and reportedly the lion's share (er, tiger's share) of the money invested at Glasgow has gone into buying the stadium and its renovation. The Glasgow promotion are also reported to be aiming to break even on regular costs, and in any case it isn't like football, you can't just buy your way to title success and do a Chelski or a Man Utd or Man City and buy all the best riders, in speedway the points limit sees to that.3 points

Shanes was sacked because other riders weren’t doing their jobs its not rocket science any Poole fan saying other wise is deluded. yes Nielsen is a better rider but put it simply if the other riders were doing their jobs then Poole would never have been able to get rid of Shanes for Nielsen3 points

The petty digs are par for the course if you only have the brain capacity the size of a garden pea it explains it to a degree. As for today well done to Edinburgh they thoroughly deserved it and basically just wanted it more. As for us were do you start, we have blown the myth that you don't become a bad team overnight right out the water as we in a nutshell have , too many underperforming at the same time. I think this team will come good eventually as they have shown in fits and starts they are pretty potent ,but bottom line is you can spend what you want but it does not give you the divine right to win anything. Plenty head scratching to be done but it happens we dust ourselves down and come back for more but all the snide digs should only spur us on hopefully. Once again well done on the thoroughly professional job the Monarchs done on us today.3 points

Depends whether Redcar bring it with them.3 points

Eleven, actually, but I see where you are coming from regards fixtures. Start later? Finish earlier? It's not rocket science!3 points

interesting talking points, but this the world champs,Tai was just unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, hard racing but fair.Another talking point was the finish of the race when Dudek had the chance to shut the door on Lingren but didnt.small margins but you have to be tough.world championships are at stake.3 points

I know there were issues and perhaps Lawson wanting away, but he is a big loss IMO ,very consistent gater and scored well at home, even Summers was consistent at Ashfield .Winning at home is important nowadays .2 points

Apparently ill? Mr Wallinger doesn't seem to enjoy the best of health. Perhaps he is allergic to shale? Hope you didn't give him a free programme.2 points

Very very disappointing . To end up out of the cup after being 11 points ahead on the day is shocking . Saying that , Wells and E Riss were outstanding and our big hitters were found wanting when it really mattered .2 points

Missing riders making a mockery of the sport. What else is new.2 points

Not read all of what has been posted. Thought Lindgren's move in the final was tough but there was no need for Woffinden to retire. Thought both semi final referee decisions were correct. Pedersen realised he was beat, laid the bike down in hope rather than expectation. Janowski tried to turn back inside Sayfutdinov, but there wasn't room so he hit the Russian's back wheel.2 points
-
That's the spirit , fine the club who have no influence on why the 2 riders will be missing Fine the club who are already under financial pressure each week and are doing their best to keep speedway going in the area Everybody knows it's an unacceptable situation but you seem more intent on punishing Redcar speedways regardless on the possible consequences Maybe we should have said that the meeting in Denmark was rained off so we could get a facility...ring any bells?2 points

Indeed but petty jibes when they don't win are unnecessary. It's good that a promotion are willing and able to invest in a club to improve it and its stadium for the paying customer. Harris, Starke and Sarjeant have been very disappointing and should be doing better.2 points

Shame about the money digs but utterly predictable unfortunately. Well done Edinburgh. Glasgow have some serious underachievment in their ranks and seem unable to her everyone going on the same day.2 points

Yep. Clear as mud. 16.2.1 ESTABLISHED MA’s are calculated, for a specified number of applicable Meetings, taking account of the number of heats and points (excluding Bonus Points) that a rider has scored. The applicable Meetings are: SGB Premiership: League Meetings, excluding the Play-Offs SGB Championship: League Meetings, excluding the Play-Offs National Development League: League Meetings only. Riders appearing as a Guest or as a #8 are ignored (SGBP & SGBC Only) The BSPA are responsible for the calculation, production and circulation of Rider’s MA’s Why then are Championship Shield meetings included in the Greensheet Averages when 16.2.1 says League meetings., and makes no mention of the Shield or KOC (which aren't included). Plus they added the bit about rolling averages about six weeks into the season ! Just asking.2 points

Neither of which are direct replacements and only possible because of averages dropping elsewhere in the team. It’s not fair to compare.2 points

As others have said LINDGREN is quick to dish it out but not quite so understanding when it’s him that gets shafted. I thought it was dangerous and this sort of riding needs addressing with an exclusion, I agree that a rider shouldn’t need to fall and stop the race to get the referee to make a decision. Pedersen dropped it in his race although the Janowski incident wasn’t so clear cut. Racing wise apart from the last few races it was gate and go, Prague is a lovely city and well worth a visit but the track is dire and the racing pretty non existent.2 points
-
Janowski decision was wrong, I don't think he changed his line. Freddie's move was hard and if a rider doesn't come down there is hardly ever an exclusion.2 points
-
if he's riding speedway he's doing it to win, or what's the point?2 points

nope, it's all about winning, nothing less. if Freddie get's his name on that championship trophy i'm sure he won't even think about anything else2 points

Got to agree he will get hurt again riding very very very hard now for a couple of years needs to calm down he s taking over from Nikki p2 points

Yes it will. He's going to get hurt sooner or later riding like that.2 points

through injury and a retirement ………. not riders failing to make it ……… big difference and Newcastle's guests have strengthened the team away from home ……………………. so when a team with an average of 36.9 rolls into town with r/r and 2 nl riders ………. its hardly going to be entertaining1 point

redcar should be fined with the fine going to the diamonds as compensation for what will be a lower crowd whether redcar then fine andersens is upto them however this is meant to be a professional sport ...and its upto the riders to get themselves to the track1 point

The previous one on the 24th shows the two poles new averages are effective from 30th along with Ashley Morris. This was the previous one with just the changes for riders who had reached 4home and 4 away. This was also the reason Davey appeared to have returned at 7. The one dated the 25th is the one which becomes effective 1st June and has the full changes both to lines up and the new averages for everyone for June.1 point

Most people on here know Pinny! I agree he is a gobby git, but he'd admit that himself he's not one to make stuff up, so I rather suspect the fact he is alluding to something that Holder has done off track, will be correct...1 point
