Because outside of a small number of Italian tracks he has shown no kind of form at all He has had chances in Britain before and failed badly Well turned out and by all means a fantastic person but simply not goid enough Employing low rate foreign riders in the Championship whilst improving British youngest have no place is madness for the sport7 points

Thats probably a fair statement in terms of being ready for the Championship as a whole but compared to other Championship reserves he won't be bottom of the pile. As for Paco over Hume, thats a clear cut case as you will get as to what is currently wrong with British speedway6 points

I wonder if the dick head from along the M4 will tell us who it is, and get it wrong again.5 points

A very good looking side being put together at the showground Certainly will be a very entertaining season at Peterborough in 2019, fingers crossed that some promoting in the local area is done and the crowds turn up as it looks to be a team well worth backing. Exciting for the Panthers - depressing for the Stars Panthers fans, you must be delighted so far??5 points

Let's face it, there aren't many good analogies with speedway. Regardless, it was very poor for Poole to do nothing for Stefan when he broke a leg riding for them. Mitch Davey is not a Swindon asset but we raised thousands for him. Just common decency.4 points

Think that we've been there before and it wasn't pretty. Best thing Mick can do is leave it there. It's old news and doesn't really need to be dragged up again. We're back in the big league with a decent team so time to move on from there - that's me being positive btw (yes that's twice in a month Rodders )4 points

How about maybe just being pleased that someone involved in your sport has been recognised by the wider motorsport world?4 points

We need to give him a chance, with BP averaged about 6.5 at home and 3.5 away last season. He was popular the last time he rode for us, and both of his teams finished top of the league last season. He certainly wasn’t the worst signing on a 4 point average today, I think Birmingham take that accolade. Think that Josh Mac will be a star once he gets going, scored 12 out of 15 in a very competitive NSW state championship recently with Heat Wins against Sam Masters and Brady Kurtz, we can’t expect too much early on but starting at reserve will be a big help.3 points

In all the years of supporting Berwick have I ever had a season ticket, but the offer as it stands at the minute is one to good to turn down. So for 2019 I will be a season ticket holder, well done to the club.3 points

I am sure I have read or heard somewhere that it’s likely to be predominately Thursdays with occasional Mondays3 points

There is no problem with that as Leon's granddad is bossman in the pits, and that gives Gary his full time to oversee the team as a whole. if Leon struggles at a meeting, his granddad will be the best judge and advise Gary.3 points

Very pleased with the signings of Fricke and Bjerre. Bjerre's lower average gives us more room to strengthen the bottom end of the team, which is what cost us some meetings last season. If he can achieve his 2017 form we shall have a strong top 2 particularly, at home. I'm sorry to see Craig go. I think he will have a good season. I hope he does and wish him well.3 points

Oh dear, this is like the bad old days of signing Carpanese all over again.... Surely Danyon would have been a much better choice ??3 points

What has last season got to do with it? The points limit has been dropped by 4.5. Lawlor, Ruddick, Bickley, Kemp, Clegg, Rowe, Atkins, Kinsley, Bailey, Brennan, Bowtell, Wood have all got team places already in the Championship and it is rumoured that Chessell will be joining that list, Leon Flint is near the top of that list of young British reserve riders and will do just fine riding for Berwick and the fans will back him just like the Workington fans did with Kyle Bickley last season when they won the treble.3 points

Are you back here again. Now skidaddle, and move yourself to the other section like you said. See you tomorrow but.2 points

Hello new to forum. Got back in to speedway in 2017 season after a too long brake think it was about 1994 when I stopped. Thorsell to wolves and Piotr pawlicki to the witches!? ultimately yes it’s getter harder and harder to envisage a super exciting team and the strength in depth approach is looking more likely but I truly believe Chris is doing everything to put together a competitive team, let’s try to avoid getting to negetive about it all until we see our completed 1-7 take to track in the new year! Year on year teams suggested on paper as wooden spoon candidates do the reverse and end up at the sharp end! Theres always scope for mid season manoeuvres and let’s face the minute drew kemp becomes eligible for the top flight he’s likely to be brought in - unless everyone is flying!! all I hope for a is a team that’s entertaining to watch week in week out at Foxhall, any team that can make their home track a fortress will be a long way towards success!2 points

Agree. I believe Poole had a collection for Harris when he wrecked his bike. Now Chris is not short of a pound or 2, but it was in Poole's interest for him to have top machinery. Where as Stefan, while I suspect he hasn't got much money and couldn't earn any, was no more use to Poole with a broken leg ..2 points

A good, well balanced team again in my opinion. Steve was on top of his game before his injury and will hopefully get back there as his confidence improves, Tero is a real trier who could easily continue to improve again this year, BWD performed really well for us at the start of last season when standing in for Mason scoring good points home and away, Mason had a terrific season last year and had to be back after showing his commitment to the cause, Simon can score big points particularly on the bigger tracks, Kyle will continue to improve and should be one of the better 2 pointers this year, and Josh who I admit I don't know anything about, but that is in itself is exciting and I look forward to see how he goes around DP - the fact he is good pals with Mason should help him settle. As last season, we wont be one of the more fancied teams, but hey, bring it on, and see where it takes us.2 points

Swindon look decent. But imo have made a bit of a howler signing Lampart. It gives them a very weak number 7 all season. You would have thought after last season they would have learnt that teams need two strong reserves instead of a whipping boy. If Shanes is number 7 he will excite with his never say die attitude. Crap gater though!2 points

Where have all the DOOM & GLOOM Merchants gone to who said Buster will give the PANTHERS a poor team they must be sicker than usual today .2 points

Yes i'm well impressed with the top 3 in place and with the other 4 yet to be named , things are looking good. Just hope crowds are good for Thursday night racing and we can get back to being an established top flight club again . It would also be good if we could get most of those who deserted the club when they left after dropping down a league to return and see what is on offer at the showground . If fans want it to succeed then they need to show up , the foundations have been laid now it's down to supporters to show they really want top flight speedway.2 points

If Kenneth can repeat his form of 2017, he had a home average of 10.17, & an away average of 8.00, we will have a very strong top two. I would like to see us get Jack Holder as he has potential to improve his average, and was exciting to watch at the NSS last year. Just think what a treat we have when Cookie and Rohan return for the opposition at the NSS, both busting a gut to prove the management wrong.2 points

Can you remember the 83 version? beat Carter 4 -0 in the helmet also beat Erik i know the longevity was not there but at his best i have not seen to many better than him at Poole..2 points

Panthers fans are in for some successful but late nights as the number of restarts will be huge at Peterborough next year with Cook and Andersen it'll be 'rolling rolling rolling'!!2 points
-
The difference between signing Bjerre (7.02) and Cook (7.54) means the Worralls, Bewley, Etheridge & a 4.00 rider can complete the team with 0.19 spare.2 points
-
Geds Rathbone has always maintained he budgets sensibly and won’t break the bank for excessive demands for riders or guests, I don’t doubt that will continue despite the fact that Buster is paying the bills next year.2 points
-
I think Craig will have re-aligned his income expectations more in line with Buster's thinking, after the prospect of not having a ride in the top division. Don't think the team is anywhere near as expensive as you may think2 points

How good is Lidsey. For Belle vue to be prepared to leave out Bjerre for a rider with potential and run with only 2 heat leaders I m o is madness. With the added worry of what form Bewley and Worrall will be in next season after their bad injurys this year.If this is the case and we leave out both Cook and Tungate for 2 second strings it could be a long season.2 points

Think Dan will be named but then it’ll be a temp replacement til he is fit to ride, whenever that may be?? As ya say, if he comes back and struggles like Worrall did this year, it’s essential we get Bjerre as to have Dan & Worrall at heat leaders coming off 2 horrendous injuries would be too much of an ask.2 points
-
I hope Danyon gets sorted out and has an injury free year If he ends up on the sidelines then there really is something wrong with the structure of British Speedway2 points

They have always done this, I remember doing it myself upwards of seventy years ago!2 points
