Interesting that alot on this forum myself included point to Poland as the way forward. So when we have a owner who starts to give his clubs a professional image like the Poles do he gets slated. I'm not Chapman biggest fan however I can only admire how his teams are kitted out. Louis has always had his teams well kitted out and the Ipswich website and interaction on social media over the past few years has been great. Up the witches right now the sport seems professional well in Ipswich at least.6 points

Crazy and most annoying thing is they are planning to rip up the track, spend god knows how much for Workington Red's Football who I think have been relegated to a "Sunday League" who will probably scrape in around 100 crowd (and that's optimistic) . Complete Joke4 points

Came down from Berwick and seen a cracking meeting from a neutral perspective, plenty of racing lines on a well prepared track. Polar opposite to what we are used to at Berwick. A couple of shocking refereeing decisions, but that is becoming the norm, where do they get these clowns from. Redcar are definitely playoff contenders, impressed with Wright & Stewart in particular.3 points

Terrific nights racing, both teams really going for it. Charles Wright & Ben Barker brilliant. Nichol very good & young Kemp is going to be some rider3 points

Not quite right, I want Buster to fail. On paper King's Lynn, Ipswich and now Peterborough are the weakest 3 teams in the league. Many people also agree with that. Do you know what makes tonight worst? Even 2nd tier Leicester managed 42 points at Ipswich3 points

I can't remember where, but I remember reading that the Poles always criticise Maciej for being too soft, and he'll never get any better for it... Have they not seen this race? Great race, hard riding, but still room and respect between both riders, and a nice little hand shake at the end... This is what speedway is about...2 points

The Lynn side that finished 6 points clear in the league, after being bottom in 2018 wasn't very very poor was it?2 points

Second Half Action No Cubs meeting tonight but a couple of exciting looking line ups for both the 500 and 125 classes. Our own Elliot Kelly will get a good tough test before his debut for Mildenhall in the National League while in the 125 class myself and Jamie will be keeping a close eye on both Liam Sharples and Will Hoceniuk. Both lads will be making their Media Prima Arena debuts with Will looking to impress and take the squad position vacated by Alex Goldsbrough. Late in - 9 year old William Cairns will be making the trip up from his Buckinghamshire base to complete the line up in the 125cc heats. We apologies for the programme changes but we had 3 changes to the 500 line up during the week. 500cc Elliot Kelly Josh Embleton Kieran Douglas Tamas Sike 125cc Callum Gill Liam Sharples Will Hoceniuk William Cairns Stay behind if you can and give the lads a bit of encouragement.2 points

Think at Shielfield that’ll be fine, hopefully they make that change for away meetings.2 points

Oh dear - that just shows we are well and truly in the mire if Buster tried to plug the Cookie gap with Woryna - desperate or what?!!!!!2 points

All of Busters teams look professional, highlighted by the matching suits and covers. Any newcomers will expect this to be the norm but it's the oldies that maybe don't like it? Have to grow and move with the times which Buster seems to be trying to embrace. So for the time being he can only be applauded. Obviously the result from.last night helps.2 points

He has set fire to his "boats" and though they are not yet burnt below the water level he does need to be more prudent in future. Being outspoken / plain speaking is all very well if it is carefully thought out as to it's likely reception. It's not what you say but what other people hear that counts. The main point in his favour is that he can cut the mustard on track ( in the UK ) and so likely will get a PL place within a couple of months. The sponsor's logo issue was just a smokescreen and we will never know what really happened in the world of masonic-like dealings.2 points

You're right, but who would have believed that Leicester, Plymouth & Scunthorpe would have returned ?2 points

Jealous? What would I be jealous of? Morton ended up bankrupt didnt he? Or so we were told? And lost everything? Im extremely jealous of that , haha! Morton made a right mess of it , however or whoever funded it, it certainly wasnt his money was it? And the non payment of rent , whos fault was that? What has my location being in Australia got to do with anything?2 points

How many people would have egg on faces after tonites flogging, can only see Ipswich team leap frogging the more popular teams into playoffs as long as they stay fit, solid from 1 to 7 go the witches!2 points

An outstanding performance from all 7 Ipswich riders. All this tosh about a weak side for God's sake givem a chance before we slate people after a couple of meetings. We put the arch enemy to the sword, what more do people want.2 points

Attractive looking fixture. Hopefully the Bears will be on it and some great racing results. Looking forward to seeing how Zaine Kennedy and Drew Kemp perform but i'm going for the Bears 49-41.2 points

Just thought I'd have a quick look to see how Swindon's new stadium was coming along, but I seem to have stumbled onto a Belle Vue slanging match thread.2 points

Let me start this off: Tommy Miller, Charlie Monk (for sure), Roy Trigg, Norman Hunter, George Hunter would reckon these guys would have graced the World Final more than some of 'em did. What say other forumlanders?1 point

A thoroughly enjoyable meeting, both sides gave it their all and had a little bit of everything. Was good to see Drew Kemp in action, and thought he was a tad unlucky tonight. He will probably feel hard done by with his heat 8 exclusion, but I think if Bacon had been excluded he would also have been hard done by. Great race between the pair though. Heat 11 was a cracker, super rides by both Wright and Proctor. I thought Proctor very lucky to not be excluded in heat 14 mind, i think Greaves agrees with me.... Stewarts pass of Proctor in the re-run of that heat was also superb - he has really come on superbly over the winter.1 point

I can only see a Redcar win here. Started the season well and think they'll be difficult to beat round their place.1 point

They won't want the public seeing the track rutting up because it has had no chance to settle. We will get to pay £18 for that honour the following night so stay patient!1 point

You wanted all the East Anglian clubs to finish in the bottom 3 to get at Buster. So in my eyes you want them all to fail. I remember quoting you to say your beef is with Buster, but to want 3 teams to fail/finish bottom 3 is silly.1 point

If we had the ready capital, I suspect you and I would even if it was only to shore up an existing promotion (if truth were told, I have already done that as a one time Mildenhall shareholder). I can say for absolutely certain that if one or two in Workington (and possibly one or two outside the town) had the money the Comets would be operating this season. Speedway is anything but alone in being little more than a personal hobby for the owner. According to an article in the Guardian last year, those in charge at Rugby Union Premiership clubs have poured in about £250m. Roman Abramovich has put £1bn in Chelsea. Investing £50 or even £250k in an existing speedway club suddenly looks like peanuts. I really hope - even if it is most unlikely - that the Comets can find some way of making it back. I will miss my journeys to the Wild West hugely in 2019.1 point

I was never planning to go to the Press and Practice at Poole yesterday. As it happened track action was postponed. I decided to go the IOW p/p. So glad I did! Despite the puddles, scraping the top surface off and intermittent showers, the lads over there just got on with it. Track in great condition with many of the ripples bladed out. The funniest moment of the day was the early evening local sports news report. Two minutes of IOW coverage and only one minute about Poole. I can assure you it raised a big cheer in the clubhouse! Oh, to have been a fly on the wall of the Ford household!1 point

I'm not no Buster fan but the situation at Peterborough was caused initially by Rathbone over budgeting and Cook's sulking and greed. As for Tungate being better than a spiralling Harris is laughable. Harris is a good team player and when the chips are down he can pull something out the bag. Tungate is just one of those steady rider's nobody talks about. Beat nobody of significance against Belle Vue whereas Harris would of likely won at least one of those heats. Harris every time over Tungate.1 point

I take it Peterbrough altered their track then, i'm sure last time I went show ground was big fast and open. young Dan needs time and no pressure putting on him1 point

Absolutely. Peterborough in my opinion are slightly stronger for that change. Obviously losing cook has a meant a reshuffle in riding order and that will cause them some pain. Whilst I don't think Craig is a number 1 in this league, it's a massive loss for Peterborough. To stand any chance of the play offs they need to find a decent replacement which will put lasse back at reserve. If I were them I'd also keep summers for Barker.1 point

Town are susposed to vacate Derwent park in may for a new pitch to be installed, return in June, the last ever reds match at borough park is around 22 April then reds will play at a lower level (Sunday !!) league from August at Derwent park, but shhhh nothing official yet !! Then in 2021 the new bells and whistles super douber new 8000 capacity stadium will open, but I doubt they Will get 8000 in total over a full season in there, white elephants spring to mind1 point

Amazing how Plechanov mastered Wembley very quickly when other eastern bloc riders couldnt. Boris Samaodov was another who did well, but not to Igors level, A mention must go to Sverre Harfeldt - a nearly champion, but not quiet. He would have been popular. And I have sympathies for Dave Jessup, again, so nearly but too many opportunities missed.1 point

Tough meeting for the Bears - Tigers look very strong and they have a lot of riders who ride the track well. Not surprised Sheffield are confident and will need an excellent performance from Redcar to win. If it's close and the racing is as good as last week it'll be a entertaining night.1 point
