Comments made by Middleditch in last weeks SS about the dusty track took some believing saying that the riders should talk to the track curator. Does he think his job as a manager of the team shouldn’t include making sure the track is fit for purpose!6 points

No, shame on the xenophobe for suggesting there isn't a 'genuine' Brit in the GP.5 points

Belle vue fans always have s fee fans who attend Poole, myself 1 of them but with it being so early in season I think, like me most will attend in the summer months when its warmer and weather is more predictable, Its nothing tondo with thr state of the track. While it's not great at the moment in general thenpoole track is one of thr best. And if they ever do sort it then it will be up there with the best in UK Should imagine pooles crowds are alot bigger in summer months with holiday goers and away fans making the most of a few days away at the beach.4 points

The stage that the promotion sets for today’s speedway matches at Poole is a shambles. The days of great racing where you would leave the stadium with “your head on fire” are long gone. The track is a mess (and has been for a number of years) and the racing is bordering on non existent and boring. Not sure I can put up with this for much longer!!3 points

I can`t get hold of Ghostie- hope you are ok, so i will start the Swedish thread for this season. With there being 9 teams in the league in 2019 there are 5 matches most weeks spread over Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Tuesday May 7th Piraterna v Smederna Masarna v Indianerna Lejonen v Rospiggarna Vastervik v Vetlanda Thursday May 9th Dackarna v Smederna I will post line-ups for the Tuesday matches on Sunday evening and the Thursday match on Tuesday evening The best TV viewers can hope for in week 1 is delayed coverage on Freesports at 10.15 pm on Thursday- all the TV matches this season are on Thursday`s. Nothing yet on any Polish TV channels for Thursday2 points

Perks, Mountain; Thomas ; Morley; Bowtell ; Brennan ; Wood - a great advertisement for the National Development League and far better for both sides to promote British talent (Perks raised in Oz I know). Their battles will likely influence result more than heat leaders.2 points

Crossroads Baggy ? Seems to me it’s a one way street leading to the Cliff Edge.2 points

Not really - they know the FIM Saturday dates and the possibility of rain- offs yet still schedule a number of there rounds on these dates whereas they leave other Sunday’s blank- like Easter Sunday !!2 points

Fair play Gladiators i definitely got that wrong. Campos still has it, a delight to see Wilson rolling back the years with a fine display and expected Stoneman to go very well but still not that well. IOW had the power scoring reserves running out 12-4 winners and Danno Verge getting over his ave and still lose. Morley can have an off night but not many with the way the team is built whilst a night on for Widman would be a plus. Finally best wishes to Jamie Bursill hope it was a precaution and nothing serious.2 points

It's a pain in the backside with Speedway Star not publishing the times this year, but here is what you want, in heat order. 58.81; 59.53; 59.79; 58.47; 58.50; 58.31; 59.22; 60.16; 59.16; 59.25; 58.88; 58.97; 59.87; 59.16 and 59.252 points

NO , its because i like to give everyone a chance . i have a different outlook to what you have . fans expect an awful lot from other humans . its easy to pay your £16 or so and be the best supporter in the crowd. riding a bike and risking it all is a thing i would not like to do . how about you . are you a dare devil . can you eat wholemeal bread without butter on ? i bet you dunk biscuits in tea cos they are too hard to take on without being softened up first .give riders a chance . workington did with young Kyle Bickley in 18 and its now Glasgow who are getting the benefit from that .OH , to be perfect .2 points

Belle Vue have never brought a coach to Poole in decades. Rob B used to organise a mini bus but since he got married that now doesn’t seem to happen. Didn’t see a single BV fan there tonight. But guess they know they were in for a spanking.2 points

Enjoyable meeting with some good racing. Berwick so unlucky not to leave with all 3 points. The four who scored the points couldn’t be faulted. Leon can be excused for now, but Dany must improve his performances away from home. One decent gate, but was quickly swallowed up by the home riders. Impressed with Pickering with some breathtaking passes. There was some question over his win in heat 12, it looked as if Coty had pipped him, but we were nowhere near level to see. Unlucky not to be nominated for heat 15. Josh Bates was a very capable guest and scored about what I thought Nikolaj would. Hopefully he’s ok after his alarming looking heat 15 fall A point is a good, but could’ve been a cracking night for the Bandits with a bit of luck. Hopefully clinch a semi final place with a win at home on Saturday.1 point

Excellent performance from what was a four man team, one wonders if the away performances from our No3 position is under scrutiny. Great at home but is that enough.1 point

Yet there will be Poole fans making the trip all the way to Manchester on Monday for a lunchtime start. Guess we have fans who follow the team through thick and thin.1 point

The Poole threads always make fun reading. We have Shovlar expecting Belle Vue fans to do a 500 odd mile round trip on a Thursday evening i would imagine one of 3 things......people will either be at work Thursday....at work Friday or both. This would make it highly unlikely that anyone would travel. Why would anyone take that time off work to watch speedway on the worst track in the league. Add in most people have a family and it would seem unlikely anyone would go. And then we have people moaning about Lidsey.....laughable......young lad first visit to Poole must have shocked him that a track could be that bad1 point

It seems that GA and myself are being "challenged" to respond to the earlier post, si can I say that I am not and never have been, involved in any way in the administration or the operation of the Birmingham forum. I am a regular poster on this, but nothing more. I have no problem at all with anyone having differing opinions to myself - or in them airing them! I do know the people who run the forum though. They are genuine, fair-minded people and have never banned anyone for their views - only when their comments are either offensive or personal - and this seems to be the norm with all club's supporters' forums. The Brummies performance last Wednesday was deplorable - it doesn't require an expect to recognise that, and it is also clear that much better performances will be required if the team is to make any impression at all this season. Having said this though, we have had, discounting the opening meeting with Wolverhampton, which none of us expected to win, two home meetings, both against what I feel are a couple of the League's stronger clubs, one of which produced a narrow defeat from what the majority of supporters agree was a creditable effort, and one pretty awful showing last Wednesday, so it is hardly fair to rubbish the whole team on the strength of just two matches? Personally, I think the make up of our team is very fragile and that we will need all seven of our team to at least ride to form if we are going to register a few wins, but I'm prepared to give all the riders a reasonable chance so whilst there will be a few ready to throw in the towel after two meetings, I hope the majority will do likewise. If that's "blinkered" or "towing the management line" then so be it!1 point

Who in their right mind would make a 500 mile round trip, on Thursday to watch speedway on 'that' circuit ?1 point

It seems to be the stadiums that also run greyhounds are the ones that dont allow pet dogs in Perhaps is a health/vetinary type precaution(???)1 point

My apologies to Eastbourne and the web master. After trying to find an email address to confirm the current policy, I found the following on their website: Dogs are very welcome at Arlington, but must be kept on a lead at all times.1 point

I have seen dogs at Eastbourne in the past. There used to be a Jack Russell there that wore a small Eagles scarf!1 point

If no-one replies about Eastbourne you'll probably be able to find out tomorrow. You used to be able to take them as we have been but that was many years ago when Coventry won 46-45. That result is stuck in my memory for some reason.......or was it 45-44. You can add Newcastle and Wolverhampton to the No list.1 point

Two brand new ones exactly a year ago. He's been flying since. Not necessarily dodgy but brand new. Like he said he felt the difference and after a couple of good performances his confidence sky rocketed. Good for him, he's been struggling or almost making it for 15 years now.1 point

Nice one lewy remember we are the worst team in the league some people said for a team what’s supposedly not very good ,a home win against Kent ,and away win minus Richie Andrews against a team with Morley and wood in it can’t be bad can it please all you experts keep writing us off as we seem to be doing rather well at the moment when you do.1 point

Pretty much a spot on business plan I would suggest... Go with six man teams to reduce wage bills (and provide replacements without needing guests) and charge £15 in with all school and college kids 18 and under free,... And you would have a pretty good chance of getting some decent crowds (with the atmosphere that decent crowds bring), I reckon..1 point

It has to be Jacob it's a no brainer Nicholls hasn't been that brilliant and wouldn't expect him to keep it up. Jacob will be a 8+ rider Nicholls won't.You can't bring Jacob in as a replacement for Morris as his average is higher and he is in the original declared 1-7 & Nicholls is a temporary replacement, Nicholls could be a temporary replacement for Morris to save using R/R if Jacob is back 1st.1 point
