To be fair it’s a good job you guys don’t need to use your toes to count as the webs in between them must make it difficult4 points

Chris Holder to Peterborough, a club owned by Buster, I'm sure that will not happen3 points
-
Well someone will have the no1 jacket because there has to be one but it's just a mix of were once but never will be again, along with the never will be anyway and the usual wouldn't put any money of any of them to win a race that mattered.3 points

Yes indeed. We often discuss greatest riders ever, greatest Britons and so on. Now whether Tom Farndon could be reckoned the greatest ever is, of course, open to speculation and there are many rivals for both accolades (greatest ever and greatest Briton), but what I think is not in doubt is the legendary reputation Farndon left behind him due to his personality and, to use a word that probably wasn't around in his time, sheer charisma. He was idolised in his day in a way that no other rider before or since has been. I think that has much to do with why his memory lives on.2 points

Seems odd to think that he would be 109 years old now....yet still remembered with reverence2 points

Take no notice of Dick (head) Barrie and his suggestions of Keleher being a better prospect than Kennedy. He isnt.2 points

In my opinion it has been shown time and again that one season proves nothing. Riders can take one season or five seasons to make the grade and move up the leagues.2 points

Depends who is speaking at the time. If it's British Speedway legend Chris 'Bomber' Harris then yes. If it's some random Ippo fan then no.2 points
-
Where is the proof of the sale falling through. Harris should know who the owner is and who paid Bomber his wages last year. If he say's it's Buster and all the evidence online say's Buster then I will take Bomber's word over a couple of Ippo clowns on the BSF until they've shown me proof of the sale falling through. You send me an article link and I'll say no more. Until then I'll go with Bomber's opinion. Chris Harris' words not mine. You've tried to get a reaction all over the festive period. Word of advice. Wouldn't waste your time. It's got you nowhere so far and that trend will just continue. Happy New Year to you and your family. Have a good one.2 points

Technically Blu is correct. There was no year 0 AD. It went from 1 BC to 1 AD. This calendar wasn't worked out till the 6th century mind you - folks in the BC era didn't know when/if Jesus was going to be born!!2 points

After reading all the various predictions that have been posted I would like to draw your attention to a score from last year when Glasgow suffered the heaviest defeat at home to Scunthorpe ( Scuni won 53 to 37 ) At the start of the 2019 season no one would have predict a home loss like this, so its all ifs and buts again for 2020. All i want to see is some good racing, all riders leaving meetings in the same transport they arrive in and that Scuni make the play offs and the go on to be the league champions AGAIN.2 points

How is Bachelor not an out and out No 1, and how are B Kurtz and J Holder journeymen. Also how is D Bewley not a future No 1. Poole's decision to drop into the CL IMHO is for financial reasons, and the owner unable to sell his club.2 points

Like Alan Grahame who, if my memory serves, set an unofficial track record at Cradley Heath for going the wrong way round. He used to remove the footrest for this particular party piece. Not sure if he was left handed though.2 points

As a good friend of mine, Norman Jacobs once told me that he has had 27 books published but made more money from one TV Quiz show than all his books put together!1 point

The DMU agreement usually only requires the club to be responsible for returning to Denmark for O19, O21 and Danish Championships only. The rest of their trips home is down to the rider. In the opposite corner is the SVEMO agreement, which puts a limit on the cost of all meetings, and once reached the rider is responsible for them. Could have changed, but that is the difference between the Scandinavian nations.1 point

Surely Sir Arthur Elvin without whom there would be no Wembley Lions or World Individual Championships1 point

If such an idea was ever put into action, it might encourage a few promoters to put a bit more shale on their circuits. Maybe to redesign their circuits, even in a small way, to create a few more racing lines and allow heat leaders on a handicap a fighting chance of overtaking those going off the gate.1 point

Think it was after this tour that Hoskins and Frank Arthur formed a company to run speedway and cars at the Sydney Royale. Jack Ormston took 1933 off to run the family butchers business, returning to Halls Green the next season. Ray Tauser was recovering from a bad injury I think.1 point

Sings ,,obviously something would have to be worked out along the lines you have mentioned,,,, especially if they adopted handicaping for regular league racing....1 point

I hope Danyon lands a champ place somewhere and is able to return and score big at Perry Barr. If he could get in at Poole and link up with his old mentor he would be able to make the step up with more confidence. In Jack Thomas Brum have a likeable lad who is well prepared but may be lacking a few HP and could definitely suffer confidence issues if he fails to get a NL ride.1 point

Shocking the way he went on at Newcastle .. I remember his words when he signed & said he wanted to emulate what his brother done at Newcastle ha ha..... Dream on kidda1 point

Andy Street is very much Elected Mayor of Birmingham which is part of the West Midlands in this context. Very good on jumping on bandwagons and very good at hiding when the going gets tough. Classic 21st century politician on a huge wage! Could have been worse tough as he narrowly beat Karren Brady to Tory nomination1 point

How can that be judged? Kennedy has spent a year here and did ok? Kehler is older and never ridden here? so why is he a much better bet?1 point

I assume this is for names to go forward to a fans vote & then subject to it meeting with the promotions approval the new name will be appointed? Cannot see Kent Klowns , Korkers or Kilimanjaro's sneaking through.1 point

I think not good luck then if that is what you you believe Hume last year was one of the few pace wise at his best could beat and be on the pace with Ellis Perks.Good luck with Jack ( not that he deserves a chance straight away he quit!! this year Hume is in a different league maybe you need specs GiveusaB.?1 point

TBH if he was dropped by Text then the management deserve any criticism he fires their way. There are polite and proper ways to sack people. Those being sacked may not like it but I daresay most would accept it more gracefully if it was done in a more correct manner.1 point

I would hope he does get a NDL ride, it is after all supposed to be a development league but sadly it seems to be over populated by career third tier riders and veterans.1 point
