  6. Laguta had 2 reds and didn't make the semis, neither did Thomsen and Doyle just made it. Your argument is flawed. FFS

  10. Speedway.......... The only motorsport I can think of that specifically uses a control tyre to reduce costs, even the playing field, and prevent a tyre war. And then allows the use of another alternative tyre. You couldn't make it up. Anlas have only been courted by various speedway bodies over the last few years as Mitas have been threatening to pull out for a while. So they allowed their use to keep them around, same as their encouragement with the Golden Tyre in the past. Can you imagine Ferrari turning up at the next F1 Grand Prix and saying, we want to use some other tyres because we don't like these Pirelli's and my best mate just took a kick back off of this other manufacturer. Speedway exists in spite of the clowns running it, not because of.

  15. Good night for me. Covered Janowski on exactly 8 so broke even there, big win on Lindgren over 6 and had Zmarzlik each way to win overall. Be interesting to see the odds for tomorrow!

  21. This is a dreadful GP. Inside gates massive advantage. Zmarzlik home track RRB. Meeting very little passing. Dull. Might be on my own with this opinion but one big yawn so fat set up for Zmarzlik. Zzzzzxxxzz

  24. Apparently he's talking to Newcastle, Gateshead and North tyneside Councils about getting land on a long term lease, he knows the financial costs of it all, and says an out of town site is preferable due to the problems with noise. Rob Godfrey is advising him on things due to the success of scunthorpe stadium.

  27. I drove down from Sussex and it was really worth the trip.. I did provide some feedback on one or two things that could be improved for those on back straight stand.. But more importantly that it was the best racing i've seen at Plymouth... and the stadium improves with every visit.

  29. From PZM today 1. According to the official FIM announcement, the approval of the Anlas tire has been suspended. In relation with therefore, from September 11, 2020, it is unacceptable to use this tire in competitions in Poland.

  31. While there are always rumours around and it’s true when someone is going well these rumours are vibrant but I was there with the tyres cheating in the 90s and I saw with my own eyes a modified silencer from a top star and it wasn’t just the hole drilling either which was widespread a few years ago, even in poland right now they are thinking of introducing fitting a standard tanks before meeting, cheating has always gone on and always

  32. I can remember in the late 90s when the tyre softening reared its head again and I think it was around then they brought in fitting a tyre at the meeting, someone would bring 14 tyres and the machine examiner would write the date on the tyre with a white marker pen and then the rider would fit his tyre, some would fit the tyre in the pits some would go to there van and fit it, not saying it happened but remember the saying “here is one I prepared earlier” with the correct date writ on comes from the van 10 mins later I think that died out in recent times as I never saw it in my mechanic days but I think the focus of the cheating changed from tyres to fuel and for a time silencers

  33. Armando Castagna is the FIM jury president at the 2 GP`s this weekend, so it would be really helpful if the 1st interview on tonight`s show was an interview with him on one subject - Tyres !!.At least then we should know more after it.

  34. Epic timing SGB quote: "Anlas hit the headlines in the opening Grand Prix rounds of the season when some of the most successful competitors chose to use them." FIM quote: "The FIM has taken the decision to temporarily suspend the use of ANLAS Speedway tyre with immediate effect. The ANLAS Tyre can no longer be used until further notice in any type of motorcycle Speedway World Championship events and this includes SGP in Gorzow this coming weekend."

  35. Can't see this event going ahead in Manchester unless the organisers aren't fussed about the attendance. SON in Poland this year with a guarantee for Manchester to have it next year? Might make the most sense with potential travel issues too for all riders, with a significant amount currently based in Poland.

  36. Where to start? Easy. From the moment of ordering a ticket, to going into the stadium, finding my vantage point, watching the racing and then leaving. Couldnt have been easier. It was easily the most enjoyable meeting I have been to at Plymouth for years. Everything was controlled perfectly, people always on hand for those who needed help. The track? I was critical of how things went last year. This time? Probably the best its been in my memory,(I was at the very 1st meeting here) So to that end, I certainly applaud Mark and his team for their efforts. Last night was deserved reward for all their hard work. Only a couple of minor things I didnt like so much. The parade presentation and after the 4 lap blast was a little chaotic.Needs sorting out. Also Mike on the mic, please learn how to pronounce riders names. Every time Alfie came out, we had a different version of his name as in Bow (front of a ship) tell as in bottle! Amusing to start with, but not so by the end of the evening. The constant cutting across announcing/Childsy interviewing too. Not my cup of tea. The riders deserve a huge amount of credit for the way they rode.I wasnt expecting to much, but they certainly got stuck in. Some terrific tussles.Well done to every one of them. The stadium itself has been transformed with a superb main stand, great viewing. Mark and his team have certainly worked very hard on that. I havent been to any of the other meetings in the UK this season, so have nothing to compare it to. Based on this meeting alone, Plymouth have certainly set a high standard for others to follow. I would give Mark and his team 99 out of 100. Sort out the presentation side of it and you would have had the 'perfect' speedway meeting. Oh, and if I could, I would happily shake Marks hand and congratulate him on,not only a job well done, but a job that British Speedway would have been proud of. Well done. Thank you for a very enjoyable nights entertainment.

  37. One minute the government is 'concerned' about the number of rising cases, the next it's saying no social distancing is needed in theatres and sports venues. Doesn't seem to know its a**e from its elbow. For the record, sports stadiums in Queensland have been open to spectators for weeks; albeit with reduced capacity. No face masks required either.
