Rebellious..... interesting.... Very hard to rebel against an organisation that dictates and doesnt communicate or even want to communicate with clubs that their decisions directly affect while having little or no consequence on their own business.... perhaps you meant standing up for ourselves and not allowing ourselves to be bullied in to joining something imposed upon us? We will see what happens in the future then we can look back and see. As a side note, none of our meetings planned on the IOW in 2021 will involve "league" racing.9 points

It's a sad reflection on how modern society has regressed to a point where we can excuse the actions of such scum as being due to "boredom" because of coronavirus frustration, and that we now have no effective method of dealing with people who care nothing about the after effect of their actions. As a lifelong Birmingham Supporter and ardent speedway enthusiast, I am cheered by the positive response to this devastating news - especially from those generous people who are followers of other clubs but still care enough about Birmingham's predicament to donate to the fund. Thank you - all of you.6 points

Can't see advance ticketing being a problem, but also can't see buying a ticket on the day being a problem neither.Isn't it 25% of capacity allowed in,which would be just over 2000 people. When was the last time we had that at Lynn, and quite frankly Ipswich aren't that a bigger draw any more4 points

I'm just picking up the formation of a new breakaway league with Sittingbourne, Isle of Wight and trackless Weymouth. Not before time, the sport in the UK needs a new direction particularly at grass roots. Well done for those involved a brave move.3 points

It's interesting watching discussions on the football breakaway league on TV this morning. People are basically saying that it is not sport if teams can chose their league based on finance and that it cannot be a proper sport if there is no accountability through promotion or relegation as it doesn't matter if you lose. Remind you of anything?3 points

And how do you no what numbers could turn up then without advanced ticket sales ? And if a big crowd was to turn up on the 17th who’s got the job of turning fans away when capacity is reached ? Stock cars fans last year was having to buy tickets in advance so really can’t see the problem.3 points

Perhaps they should be offered a refund if the product wasn't up to standard..... .....how much did people pay to access the stream??? Honestly, some people. Well done for making the meeting available online.3 points

The interesting thing about this development is that there appears to be an alternative organisation to the BSPA, and one which is acceptable to the FIM so clubs who feel disgruntled about having no say in how their league is being run or who disagree with the imposition of rules which they think are wrong, seem to be free to give their alliegance to this organisation without any of their riders incurring any penalties. I certainly can't see the BSPA being in any way happy about this!3 points

Just wait till they talk about every team in the ESL being allowed to borrow players from other teams to cover any injuries or prior appointments..2 points

Personally i think some need to be held back to be sold on the night. Many of the crowds at speedway are made up of the older generation and not all of those like to buy things online. This could put those people off going, something speedway doesn't need.2 points

dont know what happened at other tracks cant see why we need two managers anyway . if neil cant do it full time then gary may is an easy choice just my opinion of course2 points

Where has it been stated that IOW had problems with sponsorship? The reason they have withdrawn from BSPL is due to rule changes for the National League inc points limits, without any chance to vote or comment. As IOW have said they have even sounded out joining the French league and are planning a full summer programme of meetings.2 points

That's simply not true. I think we get it that you don't like the Cardiff Gp and Cardiff itself for whatever reason, but to say it's been follow the leader since day one is guff.2 points

It’s a 15 minute walk , hardly out of town, and they close the motorway to enable you to walk back safely. For me Warsaw is better than Cardiff as you don’t get ripped off by the hoteliers.2 points

Granted that Belle Vue is a great race-track, but:- How many Pubs/Clubs/Restaurants are within walking distance of Belle Vue? How many Hotels are within walking distance of Belle Vue? How many fast food outlets are within walking distance of Belle Vue? How many Shopping Malls are within walking distance of Belle Vue? How many vast pedestrian areas are within walking distance of Belle Vue? How many Castles and other tourist attractions are within walking distance of Belle Vue? How much cheap University accommodation is available within walking distance of Belle Vue? They all add up to a great weekend's experience.2 points

old tractors and water bowser are hard if not impossible to insure ...and if they were the premium would be more than their worth if you could find an insurer to take on the risk1 point

My guess that will be least of the problems - I can see problems at the main entrance into stadium with those who have tickets those that don’t (unless all ticket ) the 2 metre rule causing long delay getting into stadium also when in stadium keeping people moving away from the entrance- programmes could be another problem causing a delays - unless it’s a print at home program that might be an option or get your program on entrance through the main gate - food out let’s toilets souvenirs shop all potential problems- fans wanting to chat with fans they’ve not seen since September 2019 - it’s not going to be easy - then heat 15 the rush to the car park . there is much to consider for each club and the co- operation of the public . The easiest option is wait till June 21st before starting the season when more restrictions should be lifted .1 point

Who updates the bspa/speedwaygb web site ?, Still nothing on there about the british gp being cancelled, Thanks1 point

Think you will find nearly all the break ins have been on the speedway side and from what I've heard it was the water wagon which was not only used for watering it was used for packing the track so a very useful tool. And if the tractors have been burned then it will cost a good amount of money. As you don't get half good tractors for a few grand these days.1 point

I’ve watched the incident a few times now - I still think Tungate was right to be excluded but shown a red card and out of the rest of the meeting seems extremely harsh to me. I’ve seen far worse put it that way. Will be interesting to see what Tungate’s views on it are.1 point

It makes one wonder what security is in place for the whole site not just the Speedway, gone are the days where alarms are sufficient, these people that do these things are aware its rare to see the boys in blue so they have more or less a free hand to do as they wish without with little or no chance of being caught.1 point

That's not exactly true though is it.... remember Chris Harris following the leader Greg Hancock in the final in 2007 for 3 laps and 3 bends... BORING!1 point

Perhaps we are witnessing and maybe it's a good opportunity for speedway to have a watershed. If speedway is to survive here in England and Scotland, starting from the bottom up with a breakaway league, could be the 'acorn'.1 point

R&R certainly is very helpful regarding information on all aspects of Polish Speedway Matches,Video Links ect, dont see your point regarding owning the forum..As for betting if people want to ask others advice that’s up to them don’t see any problem with that. You obviously have a problem with R&R,must have took his advice and lost some cash at one time1 point

Like I say, come have a go! Anyone willing to volunteer 6 hours on a Saturday to go out publicly and try keep people entertained gets praise in my book. They always be doyles like you wanting to slate them but never step up and volunteer your own expertise. Personally think that talking for 3.5 hours to a microphone connected to the entire internet with no previous experience is some good going! Talking over extended breaks when absolutely nothing is happening for half an hour. Drop me a message and we'll get you lined up for the next one and see if you get as much praise as they have1 point

ACTUALLY there are limitations on the size and shape of the track that can be installed... for many and especially those who return year after year it is the occasion, the atmosphere and the whole day that combines to make it special.1 point

And then you spend two hours bored to death by follow the leader garbage. If this is it for Cardiff, then good riddance. It's rubbish, and has been from day one.1 point

I would argue that speedway at grass roots isn't in a dire situation. In the past few years the junior championship has grown in numbers thanks to a lot of effort from volunteers. There are now several clubs, albeit mainly in the north, who have a pathway all the way from National Junior League (125 / 250 and 500cc), to National League, to Premier League, Eastbourne has exactly the same, while Kent has both a National and Premier League setup. The Premier League is also setting up a new junior league this season. You have to wait to see how that pans out before commenting. There is also a thriving amateur scene at both Redcar and Scunthorpe. I get the feeling the promotion at Isle of Wight will be supportive of the breakaway league, since they withdrew from the National League. But if they couldn't sell the National league product to sponsors, how are they going to sell an amateur product?0 points
