  1. 6 negative lateral flows and 2 negative PCR’s I’ve had to do this week just to stay at work … so if I actually did live in Scottish land I’d be shoving them up Wee Jimmy’s jinker and telling her to settle down But I am as English as you and she has no bearing or reason to question my cough

  2. It doesn't need to mention the league cup. The League Cup precedes the Premiership so changes can't be made until 25% of league fixtures are completed. It's not difficult to understand. Also Jake Allen is a declared rider whose 28 day contract is irrelevant as he WASN'T granted facility status. The rules the same if the League Cup Final happens after 75% of Premiership fixtures, team won't be allowed changes for that fixture either. It really isn't hard to understand at all

  3. Rotten luck Plymouth losing Gilkes with a suspected broken arm. He has been excellent this season and I for one wish him a speedy recovery. Plymouth will certainly miss him on Tuesday and he will be irreplaceable. Get well soon.

  4. He's well beyond stupid.... Every post he makes is designed to damage the credability of Scunthorpe Speedway.

  8. Correct. What's in King's Lynn's favour over Belle Vue is that Kildemand is refusing (changed his mind) to come to King's Lynn. This will allow them another facility / 28 replacement. With Belle Vue if Jake Allen refuses to return to Belle Vue because they want Zagar, Allen will also get the 28 day ban for his Championship team. Allen won't accept that.

  9. Alex Brady says all 4 lynn cup matches went to last heat deciders If only Ipswich had known that was the case at the AFA Monday when being 53-31 behind at ht15

  10. The regulations governing the sport are laid down by the governing authorities. Whether clubs are adhering to them or not is also down to the governing authorities, not us the supporters. If Belle Vue's signing of Matej Zagar is ratified, it is obviously within the way the governing authorities intended the regulation to work. If not ratified, then it isn't. As supporters it seems we're divided and debating on whether our own interpretation of the regulation is correct. As suppprters, perhaps our 'displeasure' ought to be aimed at the authorities for having regulations that, from the outside looking in, are seemingly open to different interpretations - rather than against an individual club in this case Belle Vue?

  11. i do agree riders should be spread out more evenly .i dont like the idea of going to poole each week with a big home win .not the speedway i want to see .lots of poole supporters love it not me though just my opinion of course

  15. Watching the Polish league. Meant to be the best in the world but seems to me to be a far cry from where it was ten years ago. Where are the superstars? Most of the top guys are aged stars who have been around for what seems forever. Swedes? Nothing. Danes? Very little. Aussies? Nothing. Not sold on Lidsey. Both Fricke and Kurtz failed. Continental riders? Just oldies past their prime. Poles have Zmarzlik and Janowski and a few youngsters coming through, and so they should. Perhaps GB is not so far in a bad place compared to others with Bewley and Lambert. But it seems the top Polish league is getting cluttered with old Poles like KK, Walasek, Kolodziej, Gapinski. Etc who do a job but don’t set the sport alight. When top riders get to a certain high standard, they are currently able to maintain their position in the sport with fitness training, diet and because they are in the top bracket, continue to score and therefore pickup the best sponsorship and have the best equipment. It stifles youngsters and the sport gets bogged down with oldies.

  16. You really are some kind of special stupid, your hatred of Godfrey won't cloud an inaccurate statement eh. There is medical cover at Scunthorpe but like all tracks they have to wait for a county ambulance, stabilise the patient etc... So Gilkes was put in the Scunthorpe ambulance with medical cover until he could be transferred, whilst waiting for the transfer there is no other medical cover and the racing has to wait.

  21. Personally I think we beat Belle Vue easily,, even with our normal 1 to 7,,,,Fricke is pony at Foxhall,,, Zagar will be worse than pony,,, and ya never know with Kurtz,,, normally pony but last time was okay,,, Wright is also another one,, has done okay on occasions,,, but not always,,,, but obviously their top 2 being really pony will see us win. The crowd are gonna love it,, the management will then be giving it the big one,, then the home meeting after that we will lose as they are less pony at Foxhall

  24. Any updates on how people can watch in countries where speedway doesn’t have a tv deal? I’m hoping it will be on YouTube but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not, to really drive people to the discovery app.

  25. Why stop any club from strengthening there side ? Why in speedway does it seem weak is better ?obviously clubs shouldn’t be allowed to strengthen during the play offs but at this early stage of the season i can’t see the problem All clubs had the same opportunity to sign Zagar id have thought and same opportunities to try to bring other riders back to the uk but no yet again weaken the product is the way forward . Only in speedway

  30. Put it this way. This current Belle Vue team with Jake Allen wouldn't make top 4. Belle Vue illegally add Matej Zagar, this will push King's Lynn outside the Play-Off's. Is that right & fair?? Belle Vue should rightful continue until the 25% is completed with Jake Allen. Belle Vue could well still make top 4 from that point but then at least it's done in the correct way. Surely 5 league fixtures with Jake Allen isn't that much pain for Belle Vue? Then they can have a 15 meeting charge & prove themselves with Zagar

  31. Was absolutely gutted when it was announced Sheffield could,t fit him in,should have moved heaven and earth to keep him,if only for the entertainment value alone,if he keeps injury free he,s going to be a world class rider,Lynn are very lucky to have him....would watch him anywhere.

  32. Congratulations to Plymouth on a well deserved victory, far superior at gating and even Bowtell who failed to score rode well, commiserations to Dan Gilkes on his injury. As for Scunny very disappointing, Kinsley and Lambert are National league riders while Palin seems to be going through a lack of confidence phase and it doesn’t help that Scunny have the worst team manager in the world, why use Douglas as a tactical substitute so early in the meeting, total waste.

  33. Always looked a dangerous one when you consider how well some of the Plymouth riders go at Scunny!!! MPT was good but real standout especially earlier on was Gilkes and was such a shame how it ended!! Barker and Lawson were solid!! Great all round performance and even Bowtell was a little unlucky Scorpions as usual let down by Lambert and Kinsley and Palin was very poor but hes got enough points in the bank to be given some slack, Allen was much bettet tonight though dont think Plymouth will be the strongest team to visit and its a concern for a team built to win at home

  34. Another cracking match at the Ecco arena and I’m glad the meeting was streamed, as the first meeting from Redcar wasn’t the best. All the Bears featured in good races with Charles last bend win in Heat 13 probably the highlight. Oxford were always in it and impressed with Jack Thomas. Good nights entertainment.

  35. No way Jose... His 28 days are up.... You need to use Kildemand... Who is injured... So therefore use loads of guests to replace him, (we have got to keep the sport credible)... Rules are Rules... (Or are they Regulations?)....

  37. Dear BSPL, PLEASE let Matej Zagar ride for the Aces. As a Wolves fan my view is: if you don't I'm perilously close to not bother going to watch the Aces at Wolverhampton in a so called Premier League with bugger all teams in it and little to no credibility. Historically you as a management team have devalued the KOC to extinction, damn near finished Speedway as a team sport in the UK with no team variety, doubling up and excessive use of R/R. Stop shuffling the deck chairs on this sinking ship. In the 70's I went to over five meetings a week, now its getting closer to 5 a month! Have rules that will actually get spectators in!

  40. Please have a look at page 112/3 of the 2022 regulations as shown below: 012.4 FACILITIES Speedway Control Bureau Regulations Absent rider(s) 1 - 3 by MA - G or RR 1 absent rider 4 - 5 by MA - RR (unless RR is already being used then it’s a G) Both riders 4–5 - RR x 1, G x 1 at the Team Managers discretion Absent 6 – 7 - Premiership League if not a Rising Star = G Championship League = G To me that means the Brummies could have used either RR or a guest for the rider number 3 in the averages.

  41. Kildemand has a broken leg hasn't he? Rather than refusing to ride. I suspect R/R will be permitted and that's what we'll have for the immediate future.

  42. Agree, as well as supporting & travelling all over to watch Poole I also go to Leicester most weeks. Better to watch both at away meetings if u can get, seen Poole at Leicester & Oxford so far, both were very entertaining. The spread of heat leaders would also help club's like Newcastle & Birmingham who are on the end of most of the tonkings! There av been rules before where a team cud only av 2 riders over 8.50 or wotever the average was. If a club hasn't got the finance for a heat leader like Danny King then the BSPA should help finance the deal, it's their product as well which is on show. Never liked watching at Sheffield coz they used to batter teams! My first visit to the Pirate Ship should be against Berwick in May, Bomber likes Wimborne Road.

  43. Is it by the authorities though? We'll soon see if they themselves understand it to be administered in the logical and well worded way you have explained it. If Zagar's signing is ratified then it is not, and is being administrated with a different interpretation.
