Weather permitting I will get a few more this weekend me old pal... but it is going well and thanks for asking... Over 100 metal posts concreted in around the outside ready for the actual fence (and the air fence) and the pits gate got hung as well... Back this weekend and I will get a couple of snaps (which may include the seating areas with a bit of luck) Regards THJ7 points

Distance of opposition? Berwick were at Plymouth last night, hardly a mammoth journey!5 points

Do the regulations cover off how many teams Bomber can ride for per night in the Pairs?5 points

So we came down for a few days break and planned to go watch the Speedway later. Called of early so I hope they have called it right or its another annoyed supporter who wont be coming back3 points

I believe it is limited to just 6, but may increase next year if Swindon re join the Premiership.3 points

Sedgmen 14 from 5 rides at Oxford tonight probably better than gating tart Ellis would have scored3 points
-
Having earlier not been too impressed with Tatum as the lead commentator, think he has settled down and relaxed into and is doing a much better job. With Chris Louis they are turning into a decent partnership.3 points

Looked gash in one of the televised Polish 3rd? division matches recently and wouldn't become an asset. Get well soon Rene. So unlucky with injuries.2 points

That's a shame to hear about Rene,,, it might mean that Newcastle just have to muddle along until BWD regains his fitness?2 points

He asked to leave Leicester from what I hear. Assume he may have done same with Ipswich2 points

Absolutely baffling decision in heat 15 putting Shanes in ahead of howarth. Cost the brummies the match.2 points

Despite being down to three riders, Holsted still win!2 points

Dont think turnip on the centre green is going to be possible - he will probably take root!!! ps. Danny Ford explains the early decision in the Echo online. Plenty of days/dates available to reschedule2 points

It's a lot more difficult for me. Anyway not that I have to explain myself to anyone! I go when it is possible for me to go.2 points

Michael Fish has predicted the heavy rain tonight, so should be spot on2 points
-
Are you for real? The decision was taken early as the evening forecast is for rain and with the possibility of thunderstorms. Now if the forecast turns out to be inaccurate then have your say.2 points

Someone has already quoted that Rowe rode last night in Poland. So Ipswich must have dropped him for now.2 points

The problem is cost. The way squad systems operate in Poland and Sweden particularly, is based on being paid for the meetings you ride, and a healthy signing on fee as a retainer for your services if you don't ride. The UK essentially doesn't pay signing on fees at all, and it's main attraction to riders is that you should ride every available meeting bar injury or dramatic loss of form. In Poland particularly, 2 bad rides and your replaced for the meeting and as many have found out, won't ride again that year. Squads just don't work without funding and we all know the UK doesn't have a pot to pish in2 points

Anders rode in Poland last night and scored 8+2 from 5 rides. Hope that illness doesn't reappear when he's next in or around Suffolk.....2 points

As I have already said no one is against the consortium putting their money where their mouths areThink we all know where the problem lies2 points

Everyone is trying their best to make it happen... here's hoping for next season... Regards THJ2 points

My point is, even if Sedgmen goes back to scoring 4/5 points a week, that's still far more than Congreve is scoring. By not strengthening up, it appears Newcastle have accepted another wooden spoon?1 point

Broken rib or ribs and damage to the lung. Get well soon to both!1 point

Humble pie here. Promotors got it right as chucking it down here now. shame though as we planned our few days away around watching speedway tonight. Dont you just love UK weather?1 point

This is more exciting than any Speedway meeting Will it, won't it? Did it, didn't it? Should it, shouldn't it?1 point

Well, technically by the sound of your last post, you haven't really lost it. Why not have a night out in Poole and enjoy the local amenities, ye never know,,, you might meet a nice Swede?1 point
-
Yeah forecast is a lot better now, but when it got rained off at near midday, at that time it was 90% chance of heavy rain at time of meeting! Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I am sure the management are gutted that it looks a hasty decision.1 point

I’ve seen a few meetings at Plymouth over the years and that was definitely the poorest by some considerable way due to track conditions. Only genuine pass I can recall is Bomber on Hans as the stream missed the other one… Palm Toft passing someone IIRC as they were hyping up Barker who was well in front… Incredibly frustrating to be so close to a point yet again and just missing out but that’s what it is.1 point

Dunno, are u peed off coz u have travelled & lost money? I've lost about £130 on travel & accommodation, yes I'm well peed off but it is wot is. I hope it rains & so will the Poole promotion to justify the decision but if it doesn't rain u can only go on the forecast. The promotion would've taken everything into consideration before making the call. It's probably already cost them money & hassle to call it off. There's a lot more things that go on behind the scenes to sort out to get a meeting on than we the humble fan will ever appreciate. They are certainly not lazy!1 point

Everyone is entitled to there opinion that’s what sites like this are for I disagree but as I say that’s just my opinion and I respect yours.1 point

It was certainly a waste using Wells as a TS to beat McGurk, who scored 0! Even if he beat Andersen, that's only 1 point gained compared to what a Berwick reserve would've done1 point

Probably because the work's behind schedule and the clock's ticking down. More workers coming in, price goes up.1 point

Yes, they need proof for an injury. If they are "unwell" it's an automatic 7 day break from racing.1 point

Jack Holder limping after his crash in the GP in Poland expect this now gives him an excuse to miss the match at foxhall with a recurrence of his infamous toe injury1 point
