I honestly believe that In this case an experienced speedway person would be the best fit, which is not the area of expertise I have to be honest. I do have some experience in the areas that would (in my view) need addressing but given the position of the club I do feel an experienced hand would be the best option for them. In terms of approaching Rob, I have a few times offered assistance in which ever way I can and have also supplied potential links to another North East sports club to help with increasing the fan base but neither offer has been taken up. I love the club so have always had a willingness to help fight for survival and have volunteered my time in the past for a number of years. However, like THJ I think that ship has now sailed and I would not be interested in working within the current management structure as my own opinions are so far away from that of the current owner. He has his way and runs the club as he sees fit. It is his club and he has that right to do so and I totally respect that point but it’s not for me.4 points

11+1 in the League cup back in April. Was on a paid max until Doyle asked him nicely to move over in heat 153 points

To be honest the in-between race tractor grading never bothered me...too busy talking to my fellow supporters on the terraces to take any great notice which was a great part of the evening out for me!3 points

What I understand is, Atkins can't sign for Oxford till he's removed from the Plymouth 1-7. Plymouth can't remove him from their 1-7 till they sign a replacement. Plymouth can't find anyone willing to drive to Plymouth for Tuesday's. I guess this means Atkins may have to sit out the rest of the season? Tbh I don't feel for him, he's left Plymouth in the lurch & it certainly seems childish to leave a club because you disagreed with the team manager. From what I've read of his Dad causing issues, not sure why Oxford would want to sign "Team Atkins"?3 points

Definitely an ongoing situation where both sides are much better on paper with there 'number ones' missing and even more so for Brummies 'losing' Auty and able to replace with Pickering Anson a regular basis Howarth....ludicrous.....although they are still pretty poor Sedgman aside2 points

Best move for you dropping down, apart from a handful, teams are made up of the same riders, we just pay more to watch them, being honest i would have dropped down a long time ago, more variety team wise and quite a few northern based clubs that would swell the gate with better away support, not being beholden to Poland on your home race day is another bonus.2 points

Why? He's ambitious and wanted to see how he would fare against Bowtell. Brilliant display from both reserves last night.2 points

When will folk on here understand that Ty Proctor is injured, was replaced because of the damage to his neck? If he cant race for Berwick, why do they think he can race for their clubs?2 points

Will be tougher tests to come for Killeen but thats quite a debut, shame he was given ht 15 (could/should have taken the paid max). Has Extance walked away again? Really disappointing form from King at present. Injuries aside the Centurions look a shambles and can't see them tracking an NDL team next season sadly.2 points

In Britain the thing that has always stuck in my mind Moxey was John Berry..He certainly was not everyone’s cup of tea but he could of revamped speedway in the Uk someone independent but that avenue was lost.2 points

The bikes were slower, if a heat is two seconds slower that is two more seconds that gives a passing opportunity Heat 1 was OK, Fricke chasing the Wolves duo, heat 2 was better with Brennan battling the Wolves duo. Heat 4 saw Brennan pass Morris on the run in to the line. Fricke passing Morris in heat 6 was a great move. Next time you visit you could ask Zagar to be slower out the tapes if you want?2 points

How many of us will reach our death beds regretting our wasted hours at the speedway watching mostly track grading? I honestly think back now and feel it was only out of habit I attended for so long. Still love the sport, and its history, but can't be bothered with the modern stuff. It ain't the speedway I fell for. Most on here saying they've stopped attending and don't miss it, are merely echoing what I've been saying for yonks. I was only warning back then the sport needed a big shakeup. Look what level it's down to now.2 points

They could have used one instead of Morris and Worrall and saved a fortune... and still won... Regards THJ2 points

The track staff at Glasgow are the best in the country. They knew what their track needed despite pressure from riders, officials and spectators. It needed time to dry out and then graded. It was perfect come five pm. You have days like this in Scotland with the weather. To those that left you missed a good meeting. Speedways biggest enemy is the weather. Hats off to the riders who in nearly all cases were patient and got on with it. The referee deserves credit for he was calm during the whole proceedings. Everyone I have mentioned deserves credit where it due. Well done!2 points

Track staff deserve every praise , at three o clock there looked no chance of this going ahead. It turned out to be an entertaining meeting despite the scoreline . Ben Basso was brilliant , though I think him and Ostergaard should be split up . Both riding the same line and getting in each others way , could end in tears one of these weeks2 points

Obviously I can only comment on belle vues fixtures but I should imagine it will be the same for all clubs. Well it will be. We have yet again having to wait 3 weeks for our next home match. we have already had a previous 3 week wait and X2 2 week breaks. for some less is better. For others less is not. Myself prefers regularl fixtures. It’s so easy to stop going after a few weeks break when you have not missed it. man’s when you return it’s the same team you faces 3 matches ago. we kind of accepted the 6 team league last year thinking it was a one off. But not now. It’s unacceptable to have 6 teams and this can’t carry on next year. if no clubs are willing to move up then they need 1 league or shortens the season by starting late April/early may and cutting the season short.1 point

"deluded" is a bit harsh, everyone is entitled to their own opinion! On paper Birmingham should be able to score 51, only if they all ride to their best, that never seems to happen with the Brummies though!1 point

He's been ok around Lynn, but if came back to UK racing i would have thought Ipswich would have something to say about that.1 point

Typical BSF negativity. Great 2022 season so far, with most clubs doing good business. Thank goodness those on here are not reflective of those enjoying their speedway on the terraces.1 point

Something had to be done. There was no guarantee when Ty Proctor would return and another fall could see him out for a prolonged period. Guest reserves wasn’t much of an option. Kyle Bickley was a victim of the numbers game. To fit the Dane in someone had to go1 point

Only 6 more matches for Vissing miss, then he should be available for all your fixtures from September onwards1 point

We can't get rid of doubling up/down, neither now nor in the future. The riders wouldn't stand for it, and they are the people who effectively control British Speedway. Allowing riders to ride for more than one team has been the most damaging so-called rule that the BSPA have come up with. The BSPL could easily introduce a rule limiting it to two double uppers per team, then reduce it to one per team a year later, and thenscrap it altogether - but they won't. Like I say, the riders just wouldn't wear it. How I detest this nonsensical rule.1 point

Yes, in the1960's, 70's and 80's, every race featured multiple overtakes on every single bend in every single meeting.1 point

It's not so much the wait between fixtures, although it goes without saying this is frustrating. A 6 team league has absolutely no appeal. Ride all year just to avoid 5th or 6th place. A League title has so little meaning or sense of achievement. Needs to change and quickly as this is probably the biggest factor threatening my commitment. Anyone else feel the same?1 point

None of the teams have actually gone with their top two.Assuming the are naming their teams who they think can win it,that's the name of the game.Wouldn't you rather see the riders who normally do ok at Foxhall so should make it a closer meeting.1 point
-
Why are you surprised? We all know he's not that great around Foxhall and as you can pick any of your top 4 they have gone for the pair who they think can win it.1 point
-
100% agree. I'd think we just be about 10-20 points down if tallied results between heats 11 and 15 prior to today. No need for the total regrading that goes on imo1 point

Least Congreve could stay on for 4 laps at Brough and I would of kept Congreve over Smith any day.1 point
-
My opinion of the young Kiwi was about on the money. But to take him out at this stage & replace him with Jack Smith who has proved time & again that the Championship is beyond him. I think if that was my option I'd stick with Congreve, at least you still have hope that he can improve.1 point

Hi Scotty , Thanks for tuning in last night. Ill be honest it was my first go on the BSN commentary as the team and i thought we would give it ago to see what happens. As it happens i did make a few mistakes here and there and sometimes probably came out with wrong phase, I think even i under estimated how hard it is to comment on Live speedway as it happens so fast. Its gave me a real appreciation of commenters and how skilled our own Ian Brannen is! My style is very different to most Looking at the comments I'm defo a marmite kind of person as I've had a lot of lovely comments and like yours not so good. Just wondering if i was to do another one again what could i improve on to be less Irritating? But don't worry it wont be too soon and ill be back in the Booth on Sunday in Newcastle.1 point
