Price of petrol just now is prohibitive to make it down unfortunately. Things are that bad I put Vodka in my petrol lawnmower to see if that would work. The grass is half-cut.4 points

Solid scoring by all tonight , Don’t think Poole wanted them to leave but when a bigger club comes calling then it’s only natural that you would leave.4 points

Just to clarify that we did have a productive meeting yesterday and we are looking at running either league and not both at this time. Lots of good things happening but still a long way to go yet..4 points

You are giving Jenga ideas that he would be unable to grasp without being pointed in the right direction. Yes, Claus on a 5 next season is extremely attractive the master plan is coming to fruition.4 points

You'd be really scraping the barrell signing Roynon the guy is done. No better then Coles4 points

They are too busy posting on the Internet about how to save British speedway by having better line ups that will bring the crowds flocking back and the need for more meetings other than league matches.4 points

Did what was necessary and good all round performance. Danyon continues to exceed my expectations, can't believe someone let him and basso go...3 points

It a tricky one because Connor has being doing all that can really be asked of him but with us having a lot points left in the team average a change was always likely and In my opinion if Roynon finds a bit of form he could certainly pile the points on at reserve3 points

Don't know why all the negativity on this. Watched first round on BSN, went to Ippo for second round, and will be at Lynn tomorrow. It's a good concept, but as usual needs much better promotion to interest people outside the speedway circle. The only thing that needs a bit more thought is use of the reserves3 points

Good line up again. I’m surprised fans haven’t taken to this. Plenty of heat 13 and 15s which is what we all want to see3 points

Continuing to bang this drum I see, has Starke been banging your missus or something? R/R didn’t “work wonders” for Ipswich last night as you’ve already been told. R/R scored 7 points last night, exactly the same total he scored at the same track (one of his best tracks btw) a few weeks back. And tonight, R/R again accrued 7 points, so how has R/R struck again? You saying Starke isn’t capable of scoring 7 points in the championship? He scored more than that in every single one of Newcastles home meetings before they sadly closed! Stop talking utter horse sh!t.2 points

For a small fee can you arrange this. We can discuss terms and I will send my Swiss bank account details over to you. And I want my own dressing.room and 2 bottles of buckfast if you are not sure what buckfast is Google it.2 points

It’s aimed at kids Lisa so for them it won’t feel embarrassing. And just to make things clear I know every single word off the top of my head , it just rolls of the tongue.2 points

Remember first seeing him ride in the conference for cradly at Buxton some years ago and he went through the card I think.looked very impressive and was certainly one that I thought would progress, looked very stylish but he,s been so so unlucky with injuries and it's not nice to see him struggling for points.2 points

I'd be astonished if he gets on a bike before next season given the sheer quantity of his injuries. But I'm not a doctor ........nor am I Dan Gilkes2 points

Taken from Facebook Good afternoon everyone The consortium met again yesterday to discuss our recent stadium visit, review the current financial position and recently obtained costings. We will be attending a meeting at oxford speedway soon to meet the new owner and promoter to discuss running a speedway club at both championship and ND league We are moving in the right direction at the moment to the point when we are hoping to announce a date for a fans forum. Thats all for now2 points

I do agree re unreliable riders not being ideal. Probably poorly written by myself but I was just noting how much more favourably he could be looked upon by certain teams given that he may be on 5.00 as opposed to the 6.73 average originally mentioned by MD. If he didn't cause any trouble during his Glasgow days then they, for example, could well be up for signing him in 2023.2 points

The main grandstand was built in 1986, while the extension (the bit with the exec boxes approaching the first bend) opened in 2000. No you don't have to pay any extra to sit in the grandstand, it's £18 (plus a £1 booking fee) regardless. At the start of the season there were two options when booking tickets (either inside or outside), but that was simply where you entered the stadium. Now there's just one 'general admission' option, so you are free to stand/sit wherever you want. I've heard they do take card payments on the gate now, but haven't seen or heard of anybody that's done this.2 points

A Poole fan is trying to get the Poole DJ to play it when the Glasgow riders walk out on parade on the 13th. But he's not having any of it!2 points

Can't agree with that. Was never a hint of an issue when rode with us. Got shafted by Newcastle on eve of last season too remember for what in hindsight was penny pinching. Don't know what issues are with him and Birmingham but can only speak of my experiences of Claus and all positive2 points

I'm a Glasgow supporter, but this is embarrassing. What even is the point of it. Who is responsible for this nonsense?2 points

I think the Stars could win this one, with Richard and Picko.. I can Josh hunting a few riders down for a few wins, and I can't see him running a last. If Richard can avoid running a last. were in.. I know it's easier said than done though.1 point

Gilkes can return in place of Morley as I believe Morley was an "injury replacement". Keeping Morley over McGurk would put them above the points limit.1 point

Depends how you view 'hugely employable'. To me, someone unreliable and happy to let his paymasters and team mates down at short notice causing you a major headache and making you scrat around for a replacement makes him 'hugely unemployable' in my view, couldn't care how low his average is. Not beneficial if he keeps going missing... Personally I think the authorities should start adding half a point to a riders average everytime they become unavailable without a valid reason to protect clubs a bit1 point

I liked the Oxford programme, my bruv filled his in then I copied it next day. A souvenir of our visit. I agree it was a bit repetitive in parts but good quality nonetheless.1 point

Bought the entire set of New Cross home 1963, for 7 quid. My first year of attending. Have 1960 Swindon v New Cross. The Ox v Glasgow prog from 2 weeks ago is an excellent read. Bruv from Oz attended, adding to his collection of 510 programmes.1 point

The problem with them in charge, they never read the room. It’s not all Godfrey fault but it would be a start to remove him1 point

Then why do you provide a totally irrelevant link about Sheffield council's policy for licensing of events staged Iin the public realm? MR is indeed best ignored, but it is quite possible he is right in this case. In general curfew conditions are attached to planning consents, and long running stadiums have been use since long before such conditions were common place.1 point

Think we might as well accept team changes are very unlikely to happen mainly because of rider availability . Hopefully the rules will be relaxed on 3 league rule for 2023 .1 point

As have explained to before no one in speedway whats to join up or wants your help . Getting Greyhounds banned is of no help at all in keeping speedway clubs open . not sure when that is going to sink in . How you think your helping us save speedway and we have the same cause is insane .. Its become quite clear you can't enough people to help you so you try to cling on to the speedway protest Your logic when you speak about Greyhound makes no sense at all . its no wonder people classed you and your mob as complete nutters . Go and fight your own battle as your not wanted here never have been and never will be ..1 point

Didn’t realise anybody took that chap seriously!?! If you actually read what he says, they haven’t confirmed that there isn’t a curfew at all. He’s just twisted that whichever poor person he had harassed hadn’t provided him with proof it exits… but in all honesty why would they? Sure that they have better things to do than deal with conspiracy theories! It’s not the first time a meeting has had to be abandoned at Owlerton or at other tracks around the country due to a curfew. The last time I remember in Sheffield was against Redcar in 2018 (I think) when Ben Barker had a bad crash. if you read the other comments on Fanpowers’ Facebook page you’ll see various local people confirming that the curfew not only applies to speedway, but also football and the Tramlines gig. if you follow this link - point 12 confirms 10pm as a curfew for all outside events in Sheffield Monday to Saturday. https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/business/city-centre-spaces-policy?fbclid=IwAR0eDj82Eex3pN3d65rmZE43YTvG7ggTVh-dIvPyPJcqtDv25EsL9dOo6OQ&fs=e&s=cl You can’t argue with facts.1 point

Can they use Grant for lighting? They told me on Facebook that the sun shines out his arse?1 point

Looks like it - Redcar are similar, 2 home matches in July, 2 in August both are 1 championship and 1 Summer Trophy. Makes sense to do as you suggest and plan for rescheduled matches and make sure there is space in the fixtures list to get the season finished in September.1 point

Allegedly sold Gaz but if any of this lot said it was raining I would still go outside to check... Another rumour that has surfaced is that 4 interested buyers now... but two run off when they heard the facts and the other two are apparently still mulling things over; however the clincher will be; and again if true... the rent will be £50k next season to hire Brough (which is apparently what Brum pay) For a stadium with no floodlight facility... Makes you wonder... Regards THJ1 point
