Whatever the whys and wherefores plymouths promising season , aided by a large dose of mickey taking with kennett have been murdered by injury and seemingly endless issues with barker. Shame as tbh they were a match for nearly anyone over 2 legs .4 points

Won’t be long now until Eddie Kennett will be fit ……… to ease the injury crisis Oh wait what Eddie Kennett’s been fit most the season & isn’t returning silly me3 points

not the answer though .i think speedway got to make drastic changes next season to survive ?3 points

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001b22h/look-north-north-east-and-cumbria-evening-news-09082022 21 minutes in. Nice shot of Joe Owen in there (winning of course).3 points

I came to a couple at Newcastle and i found the place quite friendly so I feel for all the fans also I have never seen so many food vans in one place it was like a food convention , hope you all get the chance to shout for your team again3 points

Sad to see our long time Barry ( in the box ) Wallace on look north tonight talking about the end of a era at Newcastle..2 points

I am not sure of which topic I read this on but Knudson was signed on a 28 day visa which started on the rained off meeting Berwick v Scunthorpe 25/6 which expired on Sat 23rd July which was why he could race on the Saturday but not away on the Sunday. His working visa would take approx. 7 weeks which I understood, should have started early August so it is late in being verified/issued.2 points

I doubt Jonas would've been riding for Berwick anyway tonight as this is a re-arranged fixture and Knudson is racing in Denmark tonight. At this rate we will be lucky to see Jonas in Berwick`s colours again this season.2 points

So, is the "visa issue" just an excuse of convenience? Is he actually withholding his services and the people are being shielded from the truth so that he doesn't end his season with a 28-day ban?2 points

Yes thanks, got it the wrong way around. Barry at Worky was better in the box, as he didn't seen to have the same confidence when out with the mic on the centre green. I've known Barry since his first stint in the 60 's at Newcastle, and played Darts with him for many years in the 60's.2 points

I would be surprised, having read several things over the last couple of weeks it seems that more are surprised that he hadn’t been caught sooner. If other riders are aware and rumours have followed him around (as suggested) for years how can you not be aware?2 points

I said that to a friend before the Birmingham meeting. This one is a stronger line up than that. Clever to ask Redcar riders too when they are at Poole next week!2 points

Barry and Bernard Gent were/ are excellent. It was only when you travelled down country and heard others you realised just how good they were.2 points

I think we need to make all our riders go off 15 metres to make it fair!2 points

I have known Dale for quite a few years now and he is undoubtedly a Kings Lynn fan first and foremost, he is in a difficult position in helping to run both Lynn and Peterborough and gets a lot of stick because of it, but first and foremost he is a speedway fan and although his loyalties lie with Lynn he does his best for both clubs2 points

He brings it on all by himself and is a liability in any team.Such a sad shame as could be decent rider on his going day.2 points

I for one certainly haven’t turned, as a loyal fan am I not aloud too state the fact that it’s been crap this season, and that the management shouldn’t have just sat on it and left the team as it is? I’ve been there every meeting, also put money in a different way so I’ll comment my opinion. Doesn’t make me unloyal at all2 points

The meeting against Kings Lynn was a drubbing but the racing on the most part was excellent with Pickering leading the charge for the away side. To be honest most of the PL racing on Eurosport has been far better than the SGP offering. "Gate and gone"2 points

Oh, so that's why they are doing it. Makes perfect sense now. Pack the place out and show them speedway is still needed!1 point
-
I know he's been injured but all season him,Theo, Ricky have been so up and down on the updates tonight said Ricky let Bomber pass him what's wrong with him passing the opposition stick by my opinion only 2 riders worth keeping, remember Leon saying in an interview the rest "to pull their fingers out " to no effect.1 point

Don’t think that is correct at all, tip offs will be looked at. Under the influence of drugs/drink, will not be ignored, lives are at risk. Organisations would be sued if they ignored tip offs and the sh!te hit the fan.1 point

Baking here at the stadium. Still 27 c. Track being deluged with water. Track shining. Big crowd again. Next week special promotion. £10 adults kids under 16 free. First 400 kids get whistles. Face painting. And riders signing autographs from 6pm till 6.30. Gates open early. Should be noisy and packed out for visit of Redcar.1 point

I agree Steve. I'm grateful to both Lee and the former riders for giving up their time to do it though. If it were a professional "paid for" interview, then expectations would be higher.1 point

Yes a Plymouth rider failed a drugs test at a Plymouth meeting so Plymouth should suffer! Maybe Kennett's 'injury' has healed so he can take Barker's place!1 point
-
Apparently he rode there first meeting, now he is going to ride there last one, so as they can still keep the guest facility going next season1 point
-
Actually that is pretty decent line up at Poole. Can tell Garry May visits regularly1 point

Sad to observe that Peterborough's team this his season "is the worst that the club has ever put out." when this time last year, Peterborough were team of the century, Just illustrates how quickly the "loyal" supporters choose to desert! As a neutral, last night's Wolverhampton/Peterborough was off to an inauspicious start with Wolves well on top in the early stages, but there were several very good races later on and I'd certainly say that definitely wasn't the poorest meeting i've seen this year. Harris began with two uncertain rides but was magnificent thereafter, and his efforts were much appreciated by a sporting crowd.1 point

I think it floats the Belle Vue fans' boat, because they get good racing irrespective of the result. The Witches weren't below par, just beaten by a superior team. Poole fans have always taken great delight in seeing the Pirates thrash the opposition, and that's irrespective of the racing. Overall, a winning home team will get more fans interested.1 point

I have visions of long queues waiting to get in with loads of people trying to figure out how to get their tickets on their phone!1 point

He's the pre-meeting entertainment I think, doing a cover version of 'snooker loopy' in homage to Chas N Dave. He'll also be doing some TRick shots (I'll get my coat).1 point

Actually, all former Berwick riders are welcomed at Shielfield Park, and have a lifetime pass to meetings.1 point

Apparently they have Nadine Dorres lined up as Minister for Culture and Sport to present the Prizes on Finals Day. She'll no doubt recall buying a Car off Danny Ford, seeing Mark Phillips ride at Badminton Horse Trials, thank John Campbell for his Soups, and praise Mr (Damian) Bates and Mr Dickson for being in many of her saucy novels.....oh not forgetting the picture of Barry Sheene that she had in her bedroom as a teenager.1 point
