Once again you make completely unsubstantiated comments. Legal substances taken to excess are not illegal drugs. Legal substances taken to excess is stupid, dangerous and wrong. Hence the ban of way less than 2 years. Where is your evidence that illegal drugs were taken. People in glass houses should not throw stones. That applies to the past and present of riders you are quite happy to support. Riders you are happy to support have done far worse and been accused of far worse. No need to go further on that matter on a public forum. People who know do know, people in the sport do know, people affected do know, no need to name names, let's leave the hypocracy to you.. and you are a complete hypocrite to not see that fact.4 points

Yes life does go on after a period of mourning. Sorry for your loss. But the Queen is the Queen and deserves the time of reflect for her unwavering duty and service to this nation. She is not an actor, or politician. For 70 years she was monarch and postponing a few speedway meetings and sporting events is something most can put up with.3 points

By sitting on the fence for a few months, and delaying the koc at Scunny til Sept. it avoided the embarassment of their season ending inAugust with noting to show for it. Instead, they were able to end in Sept., with still nothing to show for it!3 points

100% Dean... However. Never understand why the BSPL never seem to fight these issues as a collective... Edinburgh and Swindon two cases in point. Every club seems to go it alone when fighting for their lives... Surely some kind of structured responsive process is needed? It isnt like it is a new thing is it? Do really some think "they close I get their riders I want off them?", and that is why no collective response is forthcoming? Surely not, but given so much self interest rather than collective growth always appears to be the policy you never can be 100% sure...3 points

I always find the naming of these roads and developments as the biggest piss take going3 points

That's the point I am making.Sedgemen was an injury replacement for Allen, therefore Allen should come back into the side.If he doesn't then yet another rule has been broken this season.A team was only allowed to make changes on 2 separate occasions, not 3.3 points

Couldnt be happening to a nicer person! Hope he sees it and puts you firmly in your place3 points

Yes but Uefa stated the announcement came too late to stop people attending so decided that tonight's games should carry on. The minutes silence at Old Trafford was impecably observed by the whole stadium.2 points

If you think that then you definitely need to educate yourself! Now let the country carry on with their 10 days of mourning.2 points

How has he got of lightly you clown if it was an illegal drug he would have got at least 2 years maybe more obviously it wasn’t like I’m sure you. And many others have suggested maybe going over the top on painkillers to ride I’m sure if I could be bothered I would find some comment attributed to you saying it was something illegal so wind your neck in and worry about next week.2 points
-
Given the severity of the ban (or not, actually) I guess the story about too many or the wrong type of pain killers was accepted. Only a guess mind, but seems to fit the facts.2 points

Who's dragging what out? Ben can't ride till March, then he gets his licence back. End of.2 points

We now have to move on from all that and not lose sight of our main priority of continuing to keep the sport alive in this ( or other ) area.2 points

Ah but these days it's 2 weeks if his Polish paymasters are asking and six before he's fit to ride in the UK.2 points

Oh right,so Sheffield have made changes on 3 separate occasions. You were meant to be only allowed 2 lots of changes.Oh well it the season of anything goes.2 points

There must be dozens of sites brown or green to build new homes, but know lets build around one of the last leisure areas of the town and force everyone to stay indoors, this stinks of a hatred of all things fun, Swindon really has become this unfun, boring place to live, basically a dormatory.2 points

You never seem to hear how long riders are going to be out nowadays. I remember a few days after an injury they would say about 6-8 weeks or 3 weeks or whatever. But never gets said these days. At least with Ulle you can keep checking the Peterborough line up to see if he is back for them yet (which he isn't in tonights). But with Cook not in the Prem anymore harder to work out unless there is a media article about it!2 points

I read that as no rider from the top 6 Teams can appear as a guest in the Play -Offs.2 points

SR 012.4.2 Guest Rider Replaces an absent regular team member subject to the following: - a) if the absent rider, with an established MA, is in the top 1-5 of the team, then the missing rider’s MA will be enhanced by +5% at a home meeting to determine the allowance for the guest rider b) a rider may ride as a guest (in an official meeting) at a track only once in an 8 day period (within that league) unless he is replacing the home teams #1 or is an NDL rider guesting for the home team c) the guest must be in a current team declaration and have an MA that is the same or lower than that of the absent rider. If a rider has an established MA in both Premiership and Championship leagues the MA for the league for which the rider is guesting, will Speedway Control Bureau Regulations 115 be used. If the rider does not have an established MA in that particular league then the conversion factor of 1.5 will apply d) the guest assumes the position and MA of the missing rider. A guest rider in a ‘double header’ shall count as one meeting only e) no rider, whose team is in the play offs may appear as a guest in the play offs, in that league.2 points

That would not be possible, Leicester & Belle Vue wouldn't be racing NL play-off matches till their Championship / Premiership campaigns were completed. I'm not saying it's right but NL always gets pushed to the bottom of the pile!2 points

I know it's a long shot but I've no idea if anyone at Swindon Speedway (is it still a thing?) are actually interested in any possibility of the sport returning so have made contact with a handful of local business people I'm involved in one form of another and were going to attempt to get some cooperation and hopefully some form of subsidy from SBC (yes i know probably zero chance) regarding land and a possibility of multi function usage, Speedway and other leisure activities ...maybe a skatepark plus BMX track and for my selfish needs an open air and indoor concert venue. Believe it or not some people are interested keen on fact but we know how this Council hates sport leisure and The Arts. The USP on this must be an as much use facility as possible and possibly and reluctantly something that is of financial interest to the council but in no way let them much influence on the running of. Like I say long shot but there is Such a lack of proactiveness in this sad little area! Can only try (and rattle cages)2 points

No. That is not the case. You might feel that but the majority of citizens are very saddened by the loss of our Queen who has been there all our lives.1 point

This is an extremely awkward situation. It is to shorter notice to cancel I imagine but it is highly unlikely many involved will have any appetite for this match now.1 point

In 1989 there were 18 teams in the League yet Cup Final was done and dusted by 16th September. Poole had the first leg on the 12th and we finished the job on 16th. plus in them days you had qualifying rounds for the 4's and other stuff1 point

Absolutely. If it's NOT performance enhancing, it is NOT being used to gain an unfair undvantage, so it cannot be considered cheating. It's just f*cking stupidity!1 point
