  1. Absolutely no truth in this at all. We at BSN work around the clubs and have zero influence on start times. Regards, Ben Duffill.

  2. Rain does the dirty deed at Wolves tonight too . On the TV track looks fine , there must be a picture on Instagram surely

  3. Do you have a bet with someone that you can get 11500 posts before the end of the season

  4. Spot on. I'd suggest an automatic 2 match ban and replaced by a NDL rider

  5. And this is why Poland, Denmark, Sweden are finished playoffs or nearly finished, and they often start later too.

  7. Apparently the reason Lawson was so annoyed with the ref was the damp weather was making his hair curly

  10. Where the Premiership is concerned the play-off dates are I believe dictated by the sport's broadcast partners, as other summer sports come to a close leaving space in their schedule. For the Championship I see no reason why the league couldn't be completed by the end of July with the play-offs in August.

  11. Why not get the Play Offs races before the end of August while kids aren't at school? Then use Sept and Oct for cup/trophy meetings.

  12. Hands up who would rather have a day and possibly a night in Cardiff than Bradford ?

  13. Give it a rest, you can’t change the starting time every couple of days because of a changing weather forecast.Scotland is notorious for its localised weather pattern because of the nature of the terrain.

  14. Those in charge really ought to think before playing about with fixtures and various tournaments and scheduling a list of meetings. League meetings should take priority and the league positions decided by the end of August with play offs and final in first two weeks in September. Cup and pairs take place in September and October so that clubs who did not make the play offs still have something to race for and retain fans interest. Too much to ask that those in charge have a brain between them and act in the best interest of the fans and the sport. Farcical situation that the top tier finds itself in towards the end of September in a seven month season with a league of just six teams. Yes British speedway is a shambles and we can all guess who is to blame.

  18. Glasgow are so desperate to win something with all the money that's been ploughed in. The big galoot Cami got his own way again earlier on in the season at Newcastle where they looked like losing the meeting. Desperate measures. This must only fire Poole up. Come on the Pirates.

  20. You won’t get many long term die-hard supporters who think that meeting was called off purely because of track conditions. But hey -ho that’s speedway. Live streaming will eventually kill the sport regarding spectator attendance.I for one have had enough of this spot of rain and the riders are out on track calling for the Ref. I won’t make the effort to watch it live. British Weather and speedway riders not compatible nowadays.Funny they ride in every other Country in wet conditions though.

  21. So we have established Basso was at the track, So the reason for not bringing it forward a couple of hours I am hearing was the referee was teaching Steve Worrall on how to break the tapes eloquently after he excludes him later.

  25. Sure tha same thing happens every year,,, weeks without meetings in the summer then try to run the play offs in rainy season

  26. Like all of those conned in to travelling to Poole the other week when Danny garçon called it off 45 mins before start time.

  27. Would do but couldnt care less… ask Plymouth riders and fans when Poole called of there meeting last minute despite forecast of rain all day

  28. I thought Justin Sedgmen was excellent on BSN last night, best co-commentary of the season so far for me

  29. Makes me laugh all the Poole fans knocking other teams for calling off fixtures, or rain offs etc when the first staging of Poole v Plymouth was called off 30 minutes before tapes up when rain had been predicted all day. No consideration for travelling fans then,Glasgow postponement was karma imo.

  33. Mark Phillips has just posted that its postponed

  34. No, it is only the losing team that may request -- with no guarantee such request will be met -- a track inspection. The calling off/carrying on decision lies solely with the referee and, to a lesser extent, the Clerk of the Course.

  36. I think the teams that are left in it and their supporters care as the expected full house at Wimborne Road will show.

  37. Well Saturday’s was certainly his fault- it’s on you tube.

  38. Exactly. It happens year after year after year, yet speedway still finds itself flapping about getting the dates in, only to be amazed that the weather doesn't play ball

  39. To be fair though, the rule was changed because of what you did in 2016, so it was a bit of payback really.

  41. Or the monarchs academy who currently has a good group of young kids from the ages of 8 to 15 who have all invested in bikes and other equipment to make their journey in the sport. regarding Armadale stadium I know it has been taken off the market and it hasn’t been sold either. Would make sense for us to stay for another year while we try find another location which I know gordon is actively doing.

  42. Think they are going to book a hotel for the week for the riders in Nov and run heats each day between showers.Hope the are not many tape breaking incidents though.

  43. You have to construct a whole track from scratch at Cardiff. At Odsal you could pull the line in temporarily for a fraction of the cost. Daresay it would be cheaper to hire, cheaper to stage, better track, better location.

  44. Yep understand that but I'd have thought it'd be in their interests to try and sort something out as rain offs must do their heads in as much as all of us. I just can't get my head around there being so few fixtures on across all three leagues in the height of summer and then all the important stuff being crammed in during Sept and Oct when the weather can (and has) change dramatically.

  45. Thought it was a great effort by the travelling Edinburgh fans. Added lots to the atmosphere. Thanks for going to the effort to come down.
