  1. This is also part of the problem with enforcing artificially low team averages. It's the guys in the middle order who get squeezed out every time. High average guys are kept and teams are filled out with low averages.

  2. What about that bloke at Leicester? He always does really well.

  3. I've always advocated allowing referees to use their discretion and allow all four back where a 'racing' incident occurs. Too often we see two riders clash as they take different lines off a bend, and come together. How many times do we hear Kelvin etc call it a 50-50, and how difficult a call it is for the ref to exclude one of them. As it stands, a rider trying to 'race' is often penalised, yet we as fans want to see RACING! I would go further, and where an incident occurs on the third or fourth lap, I would allow the ref the discretion to have a re-run with just the two who fell, and they would fight it out for the positions they were in when the race was stopped. How many times do we see a re-run where the rider who was leading by a mile ends up missing out. Should the rider who was well back in fourth spot be allowed the chance to win the race just because two at the front clashed? Allow refs to exclude where a rider has deliberately brought off another, or just made a mistake and come off, but allow riders who want to race to do so. Speedway would be the winner.

  4. Whilst watching the premiership grand final it seemed to me that the referee made all the correct decisions according to the rules but the rules maybe need amending. any incidents up to the exit of the second bend can only be dealt with either a rerun due to a unsatisfactory start or a exclusion for the cause of the stoppage. There isn’t actually a rule about first bend bunching despite being spoken about repeatedly. why not have a 50/50 no blame rerun for any incidents on the first lap which genuinely is a 50/50 incident. this would allow more 4 rider races and points to be won on the track rather than the referee exclusion light. thoughts ???

  5. Belle Vue want him. ‘Yes he may struggle initially in 1-5 but then he will go to reserve. And also he’s only 18 so really his average should only go 1 way

  6. Poole would never go with 2 two point reserves. They would be there all season, no chance of reserve swaps if one of the top 5 had an off night. Need one decent scoring reserve.

  7. That is the worst team you've ever put together and there've been some stinkers.

  8. Think you are wildly underestimating him. But hope he signs over here so we can see!

  9. I’m confident we may see a new Aussie in the team next year.

  10. Maybe, but watching Holder ride in Poland over the past two seasons, he has definitely worked his way back into the top 20 or so in the world I would say.. And, in my opinion, is quite a way above the level of the likes of Musielak, Kurtz, and Zagar, and even above Fricke... I would say he would be easily vying for third in the averages behind Doyle and Bewley if he rode over here... Seems to have got his "mojo" back so would be a very good signing for anyone I would suggest..

  11. Holder won’t get anywhere near Doyle’s average here. We had all this this time last year when more than one person tipped younger Holder, Kurtz and Max Fricke to all eclipse Doyle this year, and none of them got remotely close.

  15. Shame for stormy, don't see him getting a place anywhere on that average. Might be last we see of him

  26. I've always thought the panto season shouldn't start until Dec 1st ......we seem to run a 12 month season on the bsf.

  28. As far as I’m concerned, I would put Harris’s previous season with us down as a blip……and would have him back in a heartbeat.

  29. Given that in 2022 Chris Holder had a higher average than Woffinden, Doyle, Bewley and Jack Holder in Poland, and Janowski, Dudek and Lindgren in Sweden I'd suggest he's hardly a spent force.

  30. Chris Harris won't be at Glasgow. Glasgow management aren't going to splash out 8.75 points on a rider who let them down drastically just a couple of years ago. 14.77 left for 3 riders imo. Benjamin Basso 8.52 Tom Brennan 6.71 Claus Vissing 5.00 Marcin Nowak 5.00

  31. Can't see broc being back at Glasgow next season

  32. He’s no world beater obviously, but he’s consistently been a 5 and a half pointer for years, riding in the 1-5. That would suggest there’s a point increase on his current 4 and a half, especially if pitched at reserve. Anyone signing Kerr on that figure is making a shrewd signing. Cook is the same, although carries more risk than Kerr because of reliability issues in recent seasons. You can never be confident that Cook won’t take another “break” during the season these days sadly.

  33. I can't see that. Kerr has been at Ipswich before in the championship & was disappointing. As for Cook he was the supposed bargain signing last winter & his average dropped further. Add into the equation that the 2023 league looks looks tougher than 2022. Ipswich need to be looking at young blood who can not only improve but can be part of the clubs long term future. A side with Batch,King & Cook/Kerr has far to many question marks & not enough improvement.

  39. The 30 yard mark used to confuse some people but it wasn't there to stop riders from deviating (within reason) but if a bike stalled when leaving the tapes it's the distance that outside help was allowed to push start the bike if necessary...not sure if that is still the case however?

  40. I would take Danyon Hume if available or maybe Kyle Newman as he seemed to be riding better at the end of last season.

  44. I can't imagine Glasgow would let Brennan go. Think Nick Morris has an average well above his ability, looks a quirk of the 10 match rolling aves rather than his true ability, as all his poor matches early season have been scrubbed from the stats!

  45. I'm liking this lineup: Basso Lawson Brennan Vissing Nowak T Pijper A Pijper I believe this is <= 40

  46. Harris and Basso is using up too many points on two riders IMO, even with "bargain" Vissing on 5.00 If Harris has signed it's a weird signing for himself, doesn't he want a midweek team to facilitate continental weekend options.....?

  48. Thanks for the replies everyone, seems I'm not the only one having issues, I am using chrome and have never had issues with the website up until the last week or so. Obviously the site servers are struggling to cope for whatever reason or they have it down for planned maintenance at certain times and just don't warn anyone, like other websites usually do. Still not working at all for me, on chrome, edge or firefox.

  49. The base income from the state pension would be around £800 per month or £9600 per annum if you receive the full benefit. This is less than an employee earning the basic minimum wage if they work forty hours per week. Why is it unfair if the state pension is your only income?Take your local rates of say £175 per month and the current fuel prices of say £300 per month that leaves £325 to live on for four weeks to cover food, house insurance etc. and other day to day expenses and if you rent who knows what that cost would be. Not everyone is in the privileged position of having a private pension and other income on top of the state pension. If you rent your accommodation try covering all your overheads on just the state pension. It is not unfair but it depends on your personal circumstances.
