Who told me that I think it would be a sensible signing? Me; I tell myself things. Isn’t that how it works?4 points

What is it with you and Aussie information? For someone so smug about being in the know your not very good at it4 points

He is a number one but manages races very well and doesn't mind a team mate winning the race which helps keep his average down.3 points

Was it not a similar situation with Grajczonek & Davey? Mitchell was thought to be the most promising but it turned out to be Josh!3 points

That’s daft it’s been proven it was not a recreational drug he was daft for exceeding dosages of painkillers and the Plymouth promotion took him to a clinic for a drug test to prove it was just that and nothing more so I think your comment is frankly out of order like someone else has said if your in that much pain who knows what we all would do in the same circumstances.3 points

As ever it's all cloak and dagger How hard is it to be fully upfront with the Rising Star criteria and a full list of who qualifies? Similar applies to a full list of team building averages for EVERY rider. There is no reason it shouldn't be there plain as day for all to see2 points

Taken from facebook THE LEGACY CONTINUES! Ladies and Gentleman please give a warm Shielfield Park welcome back to Greg Blair for 2023! The ultra popular Jedburgh based rider will also captain the Bullets side for the upcoming season and team manager Gary Flint adds, “Greg has proven to be a leader in the pits and on the track and we have no doubt that he is the man for the captains role. He’s a huge part of the club and his popularity on and off the track is largely down to his charisma and never give up attitude. His family history with the club is also legendary. For those who aren’t aware, Greg’s great grandparents founded Berwick Speedway back in 1968 and to be heading into 2023 with Greg being a big part of the action is very exciting”. Blair missed the last meeting of 2022 due to injury but a strict fitness regime and some time to refocus is working a treat and he adds, “ I’m beyond thrilled to be back for my third season with the Bullets and to top it off being asked to be captain of my home club is a massive honour for me! The last two seasons have been amazing, I’ve loved every minute of being a Speedway rider again and I’ve met some incredible people which have opened new doors in my life too. I’ve been hosting a live chat show and doing some presenting on the British Speedway Network & I really don’t think this would have been possible if it hadn’t been for the birth of the Bullets and to that I’m forever grateful. I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and I’ll see you all trackside in the new year x” Stay tuned for all things Berwick Speedway right here!2 points

If I’m honest I don’t really care what he does off track I pay my money to be entertained on a Tuesday night and he does that, I’m sure he’s done things in the past which he’s not proud of but I’m pretty sure all of us have done things in the past and with hindsight we wouldn’t do again. He will have paid his dues when the new season starts as for his misdemeanours last season it certainly cost him in pay days from Plymouth and Ipswich and being hurt in the pocket is enough to hurt all of us.2 points

Think he was 9.85 in all comps post the finale. Saw Richard last year at Redcar looking for his team mate to get a bonus point or two. He plays the averages a treat, fair play to him.2 points

Update from Tate Zischke's mum : Tate is out of hospital and on his way back home to Queensland. He has NO broken bones and NO internal bleeding. He just cannot remember the final where he finished 3rd behind Fricke and Sedgeman, with Rew 4th. NB.Tate was the only rider to head Fricke in the meeting!!2 points

Agree about the pain issue but you have to admit there have been problems at other clubs he has been at. Barker's an exciting rider to watch even if he can seem a little out of control on track at times. Hopefully his uncle Mark will keep an eye on him.2 points

The best signing that anyone could make in the NL! Between him & Boughen this year, they both showed that they’ll make a mockery of their average but Harrison starts on 2 points less. If the rest of the team is as rumoured it should be a good first year back.2 points

When Kent ran at Central Park they got noise complaints weekly even on rain off fixtures and throughout the winter! I wish Greg and the consortium all the best with thier efforts, certainly no lack of funds or enthusiasm i just hope they don't get too carried away without some sensible planning.2 points

Definitely Dan, far better rider, he rode at 5 in the playoffs which was too much for him.1 point

Jake Allen is on 4.00. Could slot in at 2, keep Rew at reserve, and more importantly keep Spiderman1 happy.1 point

Not really proves he was very good for a short period! Though for whats it worth Lawson has always been a very good heatleader1 point

If true I think that's a bad move by Leicester. I think it's clear the Premiership needed Leicester more than Leicester needed the Premiership! What if Leicester had stood their ground & agreed to the move up as long as they got their fair share? I'm sure the TV companies want more clubs & Wolves certainly do!1 point

It’s only what we have heard on here even from one of your own, personally can see one off them at Glasgow but not both.1 point

Having someone like Emil racing here would create a bit more interest in British racing. And could only see crowd levels rise at any track he visits.1 point

When it matters who would you want going out to win you a heat in this league the ones I mentioned,Lawson for me you can guarantee he will win the majority of heats, and I think Poole we’re careful with there heatleaders averages trying to keep them altogether if that wasn’t the case I think he would of been around the 9.00-9.50 mark no problem, but these days you do that all likelihood you put yourself out of a team place. Id have Lawson over both of the other Poole heatleaders from this year absolute class in this league1 point

As a professional sportsman I would have thought it would be common sense for all riders to check with the SCB before taking anything, that would risk their riding status.1 point

Just wondering if the desired effect of lowering the team building average has been achieved, because I don’t see a single number 1 from last season not riding in the championship again. That is if the goal was to increase the Gap between championship and premiership teams. Sam masters and Nick Morris are retained with over 10 point averages. All that teams seem to have done is reduce the experience in the Reserves to maintain the big hitters from last year. it’s the high four and five pointers that seem to be team less at the moment, Ruhml,Broc,Connor,Morley,Dan Thomson………. Is this a good thing? Are the two pointer reserves getting flung in at the deep end?1 point

Tate Zischke finished 3rd in 1st round of Aussie Championship today behind Fricke & Sedgmen https://speedwaynews.pl/zuzel/fricke-broni-mistrzostwo-kapitalna-forma-zuzlowca/ Far better use of 4 points that Lee Complin; if he's willing to come to the UK1 point

When you read the book you’ll understand why… Personal view, both sides need to grow a pair but PC comes out sounding very bitter at the end of the book (which is a shame as the rest is great). Whilst I don’t agree with BVs current position it’s their business to run how they feel.1 point

Fair point Tony. Still a bit odd attitude by BV manger as PC is a BV Ace? But its better to go were you are welcome.1 point
