  1. You should have done your research before spouting P^sh not one Glasgow fan has said we are favourites. On the other hand fans from other clubs may have, so once again Arthur in talking Sh^te shocker.

  2. if Pedersen rode in the UK, even now i'd have him down to get a higher average than Doyle

  3. I really don’t get why you’d say that ? like I said he is marmite but he’s box office entertainer he’d definitely increase crowds levels where ever he rides so why’d you’d not want him racing in the UK is a total mystery to me .

  4. Not us Glasgow supporters, more supporters of other teams making Glasgow favourites

  5. When he rode for Poole he got (at Poole) 1 and 4+2. Then after he got sacked came back and punished us with scores of 0 and 1.

  6. There's no point having a rule to stop the reserves swapping heats, while you can choose which reserve gets the easier number 7 spot. Imo should follow the Prem reserve rules "rs" or lowest averaged reserve has to be at number 7 & can't be replaced on heat 8!

  9. Anything less than a 4.00 would be an insult for "the hottest property to come from Australia since Darcy Ward" - as he was hyped-up, at the start of the year.

  12. Didn't he basically clothes line Pedersen off his bike in Sweden once, that wasn't boring

  13. As Frost/Mahoney found out when he was allegedly real box office. He wasn't the answer at 36 so buggered if I know what the question is that those singing his praises at 46 are currently tackling.

  17. I'm struggling to separate about 5/6 sides. Plymouth, Edinburgh, Scunthorpe, Poole, Redcar, Glasgow all look well matched strong in differing areas. Berwick and Oxford I just think 2 pointers at reserve will get you in the end, seen many Glasgow sides built that way did nothing. Birmingham unfortunately look weak again

  18. In my opinion Rickarsson wasn’t a nice man, purely because he rode for IPSWICH and Poole, although he was good riding for Kings Lynn I never liked him.

  19. Good luck to Jack, impressed me at Lynn last year before breaking his wrists and was doing OK at Oxford too.

  20. Plenty - 6 in the whole season 3H & 3A, a 4 pt rider that averaged just over 2. I saw him on 2 occasions home and away against Glasgow and he scored 1 in both meetings. A wee boy who looked out of his depth. With all the 2pt reserves and in a second season hopefully he'll do better next year

  21. Mulford has rode half a season for kent in champ and scored reasonably well at mostly no6 and a few wins

  24. I know I’m in the minority but with the bonus point situation I don’t think Berwick are as weak as most seen to think, especially if Flint and Knudsen show improvement expected.Like the look of Redcar.

  25. Glasgow the league favourites again? Good-oh. Always works out well…..

  26. For dark horses don't rule out Plymouth, they've gained 2 top 10 riders in Richie Worrall and Kyle Howarth, and with Ben Barker that's 3 strong heat leaders and they will be pretty much unbeatable at home. And away, with those riders plus Dan Gilkes etc they're going to run a few teams close. Glasgow, Redcar and Poole will be the teams to beat I fancy.

  27. I miss the banter and crowd noise of many years ago. Its very quiet compared to the local footy. The Son in Law asked if i wanted to go with him to a King's Lynn Town footy match for my first time a about 3 months ago. We stood with the noisy lot next to the away fans.. Only separated by a 3ft6 fence, about 10 feet and a few stewards. The "Banter" and some of Lynn's songs are ruthless... Even had coins flying about in the recent FA cup game. I've been to 6 now. The Boxing day game against local rivals Boston UTD should be a cracker.

  30. Agree with you Lisa, some riders just don't like or get on very well at some tracks, Nicholls belle Vue, masters scunthorpe, Ablitt everywhere, but in a reserve berth with a 4.20 average which was obtained riding in the main body of the team keleher could prove to be very competitive, only better reserve so far named is zaine Kennedy at scunthorpe. Poole will have zach cook in the main body with an average only slightly higher than keleher which he got riding at reserve for most of the season, so imo if anyone signs him as a reserve it wouldn't be a bad option.

  31. You both conveniently forgot to mention when he rode against Poole at Plymouth he scored 6+2. As for don't cross the boss, what a load of bulls***,2 sides to every coin and all that,we all know about the cliques at Poole, but it's not my place to say what the reasons for him departing Poole other than I think he was more than happy to getaway.

  36. I,ve said it many times before - promoting speedway as a 'family sport' has not exactly had the desired effect of increased crowds!? A few more 'handbags' and 'grudges' between certain teams/riders should be hyped up by local and social media and the clubs/riders themselves. Will 'fast and furious' attract more audiences than 'a family sport'? No brainer for me.

  42. Mulford rode at ashfield for Kent behind closed doors. Was bang on the pace on a heavy track remember being impressed and bit surprised he's not come on more in the 2 years since. I've read more interested in the grass/ long track than speedway but given has place in both (three?) Leagues must be sign of commitment

  44. Really strong team, think Glasgow look the strongest by far, and unless Poole pull a rabbit out of the hat, they WILL be the strongest. Personally for the line up I'd go with something a little different, split the bigger hitters across more races. Still strong in heat 13 with Brennan and Bomber. Basso at 4 will be a trump card, heat 14 in particular. 1. Chris Harris 2. Marcin Nowak 3. Claus Vissing 4. Ben Basso 5. Tom Brennan 6. Lee Complin 7. Ace Pijper

  45. Scunny: Jake Allen had a poor year coming back from injury in 2021 MPT coming back from shoulder issues Simon Lambert really only good at Scunthorpe Zaine 2 seasons as 4pt reserve and it was a horrific crash that finished his season. Will it effect him round there?

  48. Last season was my first season watching live speedway for many years, and this team is based around what I saw How about? 1 Alfie Bowtell 10.67 2 Rhys Naylor 4.52 3 Ben Trigger 6.00 4 Joe Allcock 4.36 5 Ben Morley 9.29 6 Connor King 4.16 7 Chris Watts 3.00 If my averages and maths are correct that totals 42 exactly. A couple of thoughts, if Ben Trigger were to sign I think that he could add a point to his average, he rode really well when he visited. Hopefully Joe has fully recovered from his injuries and can put a couple of points on his average. That, I feel would give the team a bit more strength in depth. However, it's all a guessing game at the moment.
