I’ve been told by a number of riders that Emil and ipswich have a deal agreed and that they just have some issues with the fim to sort. Chris Louis still confident he can get it over the line3 points

In 50 odd years of watching speedway racing have seen a lot of racing, racing incidents, crashes etc, some deliberate hard riding and some outright dangerous moves. The Ben Howe v Ronnie Pedersen incident was truly shocking, Howe quite deliberately rode Pedersen into the fence, it was utterly blatant with no regard for the safety of Pedersen and Howe made no attempt to race, his sole intention was just to put Pedersen in the fence. I have never seen anything like it since, at least with most other racing incidents and crashes I have witnessed the guilty party wants to win the race, this was different, the race was secondary Howe’s only objective was to ensure Pedersen hit the fence. He couldn’t have made it any clearer.2 points

The whole thing sounds like a wind-up by some Walter Mitty on a fantasy trip. there's no way any of this happened. So the council turned down a planning application for a multi-million pound entertainment arena? A planning application that doesn't even exist in the real world? A music festival arena for 25,000 people. That's going to cost £15M - £20M minimum (And I'm probably way under there), and sorry you just don't pop up a 25,000 capacity arena by registering a company at companies house the day before with former junior rider Greg Daniels as sole director, and sole shareholder with one £1 share. But this multi-million pound arena can be funded by one appearance from Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, Simply Red and The Killers..... erm, OK. Then we look at some of the gibberish posted. "Un-vailing"? And what are "bonified" contractors? Is this some kind of fossilisation? "All domains both .co & .com are registered with companies house." No they're not! Companies House register and regulate Limited Companies in England and Wales. (Like the one Greg Daniels has a whole pound invested in). They're nothing to do with any register of internet domain names! Then we're expected to believe that this whole multi-million pound project to bring global music artists to Weston Super Mare has been brought crashing to the ground by a few phone calls with Neil Vatcher and Roscoe? A Speedway club using the facilities isn't some massive money-spinner. It would be bringing in chicken-feed compared to a Rihanna concert. Whether Henry Atkins can have a skid round on his bike isn't going to matter much to Bruce Springstein and Taylor Swift. No way would the lack of speedway derail this project. Sorry, but it's all Billy Bull****2 points

Looking at the old programs it would seem that Kalina was a Czech international who rode in three home meetings at Foxhall, The Billy Sanders Memorial Trophy on the 21st March 1991 when he scored just the one point, the meeting against Kings Lynn on the Good Friday when he scored 7 and on the 4th April when he again just scored one. I think he fell in his second race and took no further part. I guess he also rode for the Witches in a few away meetings.2 points

Madness to sign NP not overly wonderful last time with Panthers. Only just been repaired and no warranty as to the result, Must have concerns over those now in charge if the various permutations suggested are correct.2 points

Oh no that's started it,,,, what about Hans riding into the side of Danny,,, with Danny luckily staying on,,, then in Hans next race he drove straight into the side of Heeps,,, taking him off. There has always been some dubious collisions,,, but people only see it from their teams perspective.1 point

The Pedersen/Doncaster incident was extremely hard riding I agree, but it was still a racing incident. The retaliation by Howe was the most blatant piece of fencing I have ever seen, and certainly nothing to do with racing1 point
-
Well it easier talking about riders who actually rode for the club rather then naming every Tom, Dick and Harry who might or might not ride for them1 point

Guy Nicholls is the simple answer. It wouldn’t even be a consideration without him.1 point

1) I believe Ipswich are after Emil Sayfutdinov. 2) I believe there may even be a deal in place subject to official approval. 3) I believe a racer like Sayfutdinov would be a great addition to the Premier league. 4) I believe there is next to zero chance of the deal getting approved. Please can any further discussion on this subject be moved to the Ipswich thread. Thanks.1 point

If Gasser90 says his source has confirmed Holder is in,signed sealed and delivered then that for me is good business. And he heard that yesterday,so fair play, but at 11-30am yesterday morning Holder was 100% NOT a Panther. Things change by the minute, and this delay of naming riders by both teams proves there is some serious hold up for reasons apart from Work Permit's none of us know. It is quite boring now, and by the time these Septet's get named, some of us would possibly of switched off.1 point

Ben had half a season at Hull 1999, as said not the best gater but was an all-action, leg traling, ever-trying rider ....1 point

Ronni was just as dirty as his brother at times tbf, i'll always remember when Cradley came up to Foxhall and Ben faced Hancock and Hamill, he was never a gater but managed to jump out ahead of to 2 Yanks and held them off even with a misfiring motor, ive not seen or heard anything about him for yrs, he must be in his late 40's now.1 point

Most councils in Britain are corrupt but going on an anti-Tory rant is a bit rich when you consider that a lot of the worst ones for accepting bungs or doing favours for their mates are Labour-controlled (especially in the North) *for the record i don't vote and i hate all mainstream parties equally1 point

Like I said the other day. Maybe tomlin genuinely thinks that the 1-7 I’ve mentioned is a title winning side. If he’s got that in his head then Of course he’s going to say we are a winning team etc, as of yesterday holder is riding for pboro, a rider I know has spoken to him on the phone and he’s riding for pboro .1 point
-
If Holder does get confirmed then I'll work on the basis of Hans Andersen being the team manager rather than a rider. It's just a really tough sell for me to believe the proposed 1-7 on this thread. Tomalin is a very successful businessman who's putting extra finances into the club so I don't believe that he would make a twit out of himself in public before he's even started his new job by heaping praise and talking about winning a league title with an uncompetitive team that's 2 something under the limit.1 point

I know the feeling mate, certain people on here would have you believe that if you don't live within a stones throw of your home team, you can't be a supporter!1 point

Not sure he rode a league match for Ipswich but it was Karlina who rode against Lynn the gold cup on good Friday.1 point
-
Sure it was Kalina but he didn't last long in the team, haps he only rode in a few challenge matches and no actual league matches b4 being replaced.1 point

Actually Vlad did ride for Hackney in 91 and was in the Hawks team that visited Arena Essex in the Gold Cup. The Hackney team that day was Tony Olsson Michael Warren Pavel Karnas Vladmir Kalina Paul Whittaker Roland Pollard Dave Hamnet1 point

Everyone knows what Roynon and Newman are capable of, but always a big question of actually doing it, I thought Kyle was going to be Hammers 4th heat leader in 2018 but it just didn’t work out for him. Poole have once again nailed the art of building a side on paper, a great top two with strength then down the order, that in turn might see Thomas or one of the Cook brothers drop to reserve at some point.1 point

Used to skip a meal to have John Anderson's burgers at Berwick (the pies were apparently as good). The only other place to eat speedway food is Isle of Wight. The chicken curry - personally cooked by Barry Bishop - is the best home made I have ever tasted.1 point

Well I noted there was a new post on the Plymouth thread so clicked in expecting it to announce their final rider (as their website doesn't appear to have been updated since the Starke signing!!!) but stifled a smirk at the BBC Cornwall story and then saw the usual bullrubbish so couldn't resist.1 point
