Maybe to help out his mate Buster who was left without a no 1. Once he had ridden for the club guests could then be used when he "gave up". On arriving at the Purplecats, he maybe realised all was not well so the crash on a poorly prepared track then gave Nicki / Buster the ideal opportunity needed to leave, all be it quicker than 1st planned. MT silence on the matter speaks volumes imo....4 points

I also think the BSN have done a good job reporting on it and making abit of a story about that. You get nothing of the sorts from the BSPL site and the speedway star.3 points

Ice Hockey thrives on such incidents... In the US they became very focused on losing that image until they got a fan backlash, with the fans wanting such fights to happen, as it added to the spectacle and the intensity of the rivalries.. Speedway clubs willingly share riders with each other virtually every night so making the sport one that generates passionate rivalry will naturally be difficult to achieve, therefore a bit of personal rivalry can add to it..3 points

Oh you are very welcome (said she sarcastically) Thanks for ignoring my reply telling you I could not do so and suggesting you contact Phil3 points

I’d have him in the team over a journeyman like cook any day of the week2 points

No one in double figures for the Aces.. A very solid team effort... Rowe will have the beating of most No7's, so worth a permanent spot I would say.. Mulford can then develop via the Championship and NDL..2 points

That's got BV's season going then. Good performances all down the order. Special shout out to Anders Rowe who looks a decent addition in the RS position - can he replace Mulford permanenty?2 points

Don't mind any option to keep Panthers going, but I'm not prepared to line Busters pockets if we are finished after this season, & a lot more fans will probably feel the same.2 points

I didn't have one in those days and rode everywhere. Bradford and back in a day was the longest journey to speedway for me, 4 hours each way. Always been a biker but got a car when I got a wife2 points

Considering so many teams promoters were not impressed when Plymouth did it last season, I am surprised they haven't changed the ruling on it.2 points

Weather the home team covers the cost of all riders !! Who covers the cost of the away support.. fans out of pocket again & we wonder why our beloved sport is on the downward spiral in the UK .. but thats the great British weather tho2 points

How can his private life be nothing to do with us when he is parading his family life in a reality tv show?2 points

Buster and Peterborough are the victims in this case. I actually feel sorry for Buster and the fans on this one. I must of took a fair bit of work to get him over, and for fook all2 points

Awful racing though. Not sure if just down to track conditions or that is the standard?1 point

Worrall deserves to stay in the team based on his honest interview after the meeting today.1 point

And that's a very big part of the problem, very few new attendees not helped by ridiculous rules, bending of the rules, and making it up as you go along all of which simply don't help, another example being the NP situation at P,boro.1 point

Pretty sure that if it's a late call off the home team has to cover all expenses.1 point

This is disgraceful from Pedersen, there must be a way he can be held accountable for this kind of action. Utter contempt for Peterborough speedway and British fans. Absolute a**hole !!1 point

No wonder the 'speedway shambles' twitter acc has their profile photo of Buster Well it was, think it might be Godfrey now looking at it. To much choice!! lol.1 point

Everything changed when Chapman put a block on the Holder signing. MT went silent at that point, so it's quite possible an agreement that allowed MT & co to build the team was withdrawn by Chapman, or MT and Chapman never initially communicated on possible 'out of bounds signings. Either way, it's a monumental disaster for the supporters, unless they can pull a rabbit out of the hat, and sooner rather than later...1 point

There is a very nice ex Speedway track, recently shaled sat right between Peterborough and Coventry. Just under an hour from each and untapped potential from Northampton. Surprising no one has had a look at Braefield.1 point

The statement is a grim read for any speedway fan, let alone Peterborough supporters. A huge shame.1 point

Whilst I agree with the Mental Health issues Craig has and it certainly can’t be easy for him, and as we know can lead to deep depression. But there has to come a point that we have to stop using the issue as a defence . I don’t think anyone would have questioned the crash on Sunday other than a racing incident albeit Bens reaction in the aftermath suggested he thought there was more to it than a racing incident. His tweet confirms that he knew exactly what he was doing Mental Health Issues or not in no way can that be excused regardless.1 point

Slip off up the road to Mildenhall Some great racing there. Watching from the grass bank on back straight with fish & chips a great afternoons entertainment. Support a club where management fight to keep their speedway and appreciate their fans.1 point

I was under the impression that if the ref fined a rider then no further penalty could be impossed.1 point

...reminds one of the days when some riders added nitro to their fuel and was quite common apparently before it was made illegal.1 point

Normal procedure at the late lamented Coventry was for both teams to bring out their bikes and be presented in front of the main stand. When the intros were over, they would all get on their bikes and do as many practice laps as they wanted until the CO (or later Colin Pratt) appeared on-track to signal the end of practice. Usually 5-10 minutes. Strictly no practice starts on the bends or the CO would have your wotsits for garters.1 point
