Maybe to help out his mate Buster who was left without a no 1. Once he had ridden for the club guests could then be used when he "gave up". On arriving at the Purplecats, he maybe realised all was not well so the crash on a poorly prepared track then gave Nicki / Buster the ideal opportunity needed to leave, all be it quicker than 1st planned. MT silence on the matter speaks volumes imo....4 points

I also think the BSN have done a good job reporting on it and making abit of a story about that. You get nothing of the sorts from the BSPL site and the speedway star.3 points

Ice Hockey thrives on such incidents... In the US they became very focused on losing that image until they got a fan backlash, with the fans wanting such fights to happen, as it added to the spectacle and the intensity of the rivalries.. Speedway clubs willingly share riders with each other virtually every night so making the sport one that generates passionate rivalry will naturally be difficult to achieve, therefore a bit of personal rivalry can add to it..3 points

Oh you are very welcome (said she sarcastically) Thanks for ignoring my reply telling you I could not do so and suggesting you contact Phil3 points

I’d have him in the team over a journeyman like cook any day of the week2 points

No one in double figures for the Aces.. A very solid team effort... Rowe will have the beating of most No7's, so worth a permanent spot I would say.. Mulford can then develop via the Championship and NDL..2 points

That's got BV's season going then. Good performances all down the order. Special shout out to Anders Rowe who looks a decent addition in the RS position - can he replace Mulford permanenty?2 points

Don't mind any option to keep Panthers going, but I'm not prepared to line Busters pockets if we are finished after this season, & a lot more fans will probably feel the same.2 points

I didn't have one in those days and rode everywhere. Bradford and back in a day was the longest journey to speedway for me, 4 hours each way. Always been a biker but got a car when I got a wife2 points

Considering so many teams promoters were not impressed when Plymouth did it last season, I am surprised they haven't changed the ruling on it.2 points

Weather the home team covers the cost of all riders !! Who covers the cost of the away support.. fans out of pocket again & we wonder why our beloved sport is on the downward spiral in the UK .. but thats the great British weather tho2 points

Buster and Peterborough are the victims in this case. I actually feel sorry for Buster and the fans on this one. I must of took a fair bit of work to get him over, and for fook all2 points

Just don't expect it from any of the Danes though, especially if they want to be in the world cup team!1 point

Let’s stop the negativity about KK and applaud him for a fantastic meeting. Reminds me of when he scored a flawless 15pt max for Poland in The World Team Cup at KL a few years ago. I think he has literally turned the corner. Well done KK1 point

Ans that is the thing isnt it... There are plenty of riders available nowadays as they dont ride anywhere else on a Monday and Thursday.. (apart from Polands rain off rescheduled meetings which dont take priority anyway) (Good luck with that, however).... The purpose of fixed race nights was supposedly to allow "top names" to come back to the UK... Teams in Peterborough's and Wolverhampton's position should be required to make a signing before running another match, or just be granted RR.. That would stop any "facilities" needing to be requested with all the usual discussion around their legality... Chris Holder has a set of Panthers kevlars for gods sake, (new colour too), so he should be at No1 for them tonight... It just makes the sport look amateurish when teams borrow off others, when plenty of riders are sat elsewhere who could take places... No signing. No meeting... Would stop a lot of what goes on that impacts the sports credibility I would suggest... And if not using the power of fixed race nights to get replacements in then you may as well all ride whenever you want...1 point

I wouldn't trust the majority of PCC to tell me it's Thursday! Irrespective of their enthusiasm, if the local plan was agreed and not changed then they need to explain why a high profile existing Peterborough sporting facility is being lost without provision of an alternative elsewhere? Permission for EoES development would not be agreed otherwise. That's there in black & white (are you allowed to say that these days?). I don't get the dog track too close to houses. It's no closer now than it has ever been and is not an area likely to be swamped with houses in future. Any noise issues wouldn't be unsurmountable IMO. As for POSH, when you see an artists impression and timeline in the local paper you know that it hasn't been thought through or agreed with all parties and other considerations. The nice graphic is usually the only thing produced at the end of it all.1 point

I don't think they have said he cannot ride (officially they cannot do that with the agreement between the federations) but they could invoke changes in his deal From the Chinese whispers he was signed in Poland on the basis of not riding in the UK and a signing on fee agreed. Half paid in the winter and half to come at the start of the season I understand the second half was to be withdrawn from the deal if he continued in the UK and as that alone was worth more than he could earn in the entire UK season then it became a no brainer to give up the place with the Pussycats Maybe true, maybe not but it sounds a lot more feasible than the lame "my body isn't up to the technical British tracks" trotted out in the statement1 point

Any truth in the rumour Scott Nicholls and Ben Barker tested positive as pregnant and both teams walked out?1 point
-
Well both riders have now been frozen out because of their antics. batchelor has always been a baby, but I thought Holder was more professional than that. Apparently not.1 point
-
And yet if the Holder signing was allowed they would still have a full team and maybe MT would want to be involved more? Only one person to blame for that one? Life lesson there, grudges come to bite you! I have no idea about the ins and outs of stadium situation, so won't comment on that.1 point

“I have to pull out for now and resign, the body is just not fit enough with my injury for the technical British Speedway tracks"1 point

The writing was on the wall when he had his bump at the showground, a young lad would of been getting straight up from that, it was always a risk signing a 46 year old who had just recovered from major injuries. I think in the midst of this Nicki Pedersen hysteria the news that no positive progress on the future of the club is far more concerning.1 point

That ranks as one of the most ridiculous comments ever posted on this forum.1 point
