Maybe to help out his mate Buster who was left without a no 1. Once he had ridden for the club guests could then be used when he "gave up". On arriving at the Purplecats, he maybe realised all was not well so the crash on a poorly prepared track then gave Nicki / Buster the ideal opportunity needed to leave, all be it quicker than 1st planned. MT silence on the matter speaks volumes imo....

I also think the BSN have done a good job reporting on it and making abit of a story about that. You get nothing of the sorts from the BSPL site and the speedway star.

Ice Hockey thrives on such incidents... In the US they became very focused on losing that image until they got a fan backlash, with the fans wanting such fights to happen, as it added to the spectacle and the intensity of the rivalries.. Speedway clubs willingly share riders with each other virtually every night so making the sport one that generates passionate rivalry will naturally be difficult to achieve, therefore a bit of personal rivalry can add to it..

Let’s stop the negativity about KK and applaud him for a fantastic meeting. Reminds me of when he scored a flawless 15pt max for Poland in The World Team Cup at KL a few years ago. I think he has literally turned the corner. Well done KK

Panthers fans including myself will still get an opportunity to watch Speedway without having to travel far so it's not like we're going to miss out entirely unless it's by choice. Ipswich, King's Lynn and Leicester are all close enough tracks that you can get to in 1-2 hours top whack by car even though our track is much more enjoyable, However it's still a track to visit and it's better than nothing and who knows over time some Panthers fans may end up supporting one of those clubs down the road, You've seen it with Swindon fans at Oxford as a recent example. Sad news yesterday but I think it's only the beginning of the end for the Sport in this country as a whole, Championship is already drastically weaker with the watered down fixture list and points limit due to clubs lacking financial resources, Wolves aren't in a healthy financial position anymore and they could very well be on the clock too as CVS has stated that he wouldn't run in a 6 team Premiership. I suppose the blow of yesterday's news isn't as impactful as it would've been under normal circumstances, The fighting amongst management during the winter, The dreadful 2022 campaign and a mess of a 2023 campaign has left many fans thinking F it anyway because all we've done for the last 18 months is lose our tempers and then sat back and watched our team lose at Home almost every week, We haven't even had a full Panthers 1-7 complete a meeting in god knows how long. I'm surprised we're making the effort to see out the season tbh, We may as well just give everyone a refund and call it quits now rather than running at a loss every week, I'll nip down to the final home meeting as well as the Ipswich meeting when Doyle and Emil are in town but that's it because I've lost all interest in our 2023 campaign as it's just a case of deja vu that's a waste of everyone's time, effort and money.

And that's a very big part of the problem, very few new attendees not helped by ridiculous rules, bending of the rules, and making it up as you go along all of which simply don't help, another example being the NP situation at P,boro.

MT went silent at that point, so it's quite possible an agreement that allowed MT & co to build the team was withdrawn by Chapman, or MT and Chapman never initially communicated on possible 'out of bounds signings. Either way, it's a monumental disaster for the supporters, unless they can pull a rabbit out of the hat, and sooner rather than later...

If you believe Grudziadz have put a stop to Pedersen riding here, then I think you are very mistaken on this one. —————— Good to see Peterborough finally make a statement - but begs the question why it’s taken over a week to confirm what most already knew. What an absolute PR disaster - at a time when they say they need support more than ever. They have recognised their shortcomings in communication but I’d bet they do little to nothing to actually combat that in the next few months.

My worst rain-off experience was in 1990 travelling from Ipswich to Reading on a Monday night. I had persuaded my Dad to join me in riding to Reading on our motorcycles, which was an effort considering he only rode in the dry and local journeys only. Having left work and rushed home, checked the meeting was on and the weather forecast seemed fine, I called for Dad and we set off in the sunshine. When we were about 90 miles into the journey and on the M25 it started light rain but darker clouds were ahead. The rain stopped and we pulled off the M25 for a chat - Dad said he was going to turn back if it rained again but we set off again towards Reading when it did start raining again. It was only light so I carried on all the way to Smallmead where it was chucking it down and the meeting was called off (about 7pm). I then had the 2.5 hour journey back in absolute heavy rain, waterproofs leaked at the crotch after a time and my legs, feet, arms and face/neck were soaked and so cold I struggled to move by the time I got home, with a filthy bike to boot! I passed Dad on the way back, on the A12, as he was doing about 40mph due to reduced visibility - I was maxing out at 60mph, visor up. We never went to another meeting together on our bikes although I did on my own.

The statement is a grim read for any speedway fan, let alone Peterborough supporters. A huge shame.

Touche Being there that night in 2017 is something I'll never forget, while part of me agrees that bygones should let be bygones I'm not sure I'd pay to watch a meeting with Holder or Batchelor in it ever again let alone employ them as riders if I owned a club.

All too often in British Speedway, you hear reports of tracks not being up to scratch at the beginning of a meeting and riders unhappy with conditions - whether this be poor prep, weather conditions or any other factors. I notice from today’s match at Redcar, riders were given a chance to spend 1 minute out of track according to speedway updates. Before the start of every league match in Poland, every team can nominate 2 riders to go out on track to check out track conditions etc. Why are we not doing this over here? This can help to eliminate a whole host of potential issues on the horizon (like Peterborough the last week with heat 1 and riders not being happy with the exit to turn 2) and give riders a chance to get on track before heat 1. This adds abit of a tactical element too - do you send out your experienced guys to pass on knowledge or send out a junior to get some much needed track time before their first ride? There is no shame in following in the Poles footsteps if it helps to solve problems and benefits the beginning of meetings. How often do we see matches where the first 4 heats are follow the leader around the inside until the track starts to bed in and dirt moves wider? This one seems abit of a non brainer to me and can only be a good thing.

The reason not to do this is juniors are generally used to less dirt and may struggle on a fresh surface This makes a crash more likely which could mean medical delays or fence repairs which actually delay or even jeopardise the main meeting
