Didn’t see the incident so can’t comment apart from saying that someone calling themselves Mr Blobby calling someone else a clown seems quite ironic.4 points

Godfrey just doing for the Scunthorpe team what he's done for British Speedway3 points

Enjoyed Leszno v Czestochowa. Some good racing but despite Kolodziej being head & shoulders above any other rider present the home team were well beaten. Don't get why most posters on this forum don't like Kolodziej, he's better to watch than most Poles. 3 points
-
To be fair I don’t think he’s a new addition as he had a “disagreement” with him at Plymouth in 2021 I seem to remember. Every team would be better with a Charles Wright in it in my opinion, proper racer and always gives 100%.3 points

Having only 10, out of the 14 riders who should have been there riding, was never going to stimulate much interest.. Add in the score from the first leg and an off night for BV and the crowd was always going to be lower than usual.. Bottom line is of course that if the Promoter's themselves dont see their competition's relevant enough to have their own riders there, then the fans understandably can feel the same, and be "elsewhere" too...3 points

First time i've visited Glasgow this season and i left thinking this could be the year barring injuries that the Tigers lift some silverware. Bomber for me has always been box office regardless of where he rides, he's just a class act and worth the admission money on his own. Along with the in form duo of Basso and Brennan they form a strong heat leader trio. Glasgow seems to bring out the best in big Claus Vissing who along with Marcin Nowak form strong second strings. Ace Pjiper was very impressive tonight for someone 16 years old and as a Worky fan i'm gonna enjoy watching his progress for the Comets NDL team while the reborn Lee Complin is not far away from scoring bigger points. Bearing in mind it was cloudy most of the afternoon i was disappointed that there was dust from heat 1. Some of the racing was top drawer especially from Bomber and Tom Brennan. Scunny with the exception of flying Ryan Douglas and the early races of MPT were generally disappointing. The previous comments regarding their recent team changes are well justified in my opinion. At £20 pound admission and £3-50 for a programme its just as well the racing was generally entertaining.2 points

Cracking meeting against Ryan Douglas .Loving the progress Ace Pijper is making , roll on the final2 points

Good to see dropping Joe Thomson has worked out well....A little chuckle to myself if I must be honest.2 points
-
Agree, and I'd pay to watch him over Lawson or Worrall any day of the week.2 points
-
Have to say I agree with your last sentence. I believe LR should consider resigning as Birmingham Team Manager but remain as co promoter now that would be in the best interests of Birmingham Speedway as a whole.2 points

Laughable comments and show the sheer stupidity of people involved in the running of Speedway!!! The problem with refusing to face the truth is that that will make these mistakes over and over2 points

all the reasons you said maybe correct, but didn't stop me from enjoying a few good races and understand there are still a few riders who put in effort whatever the circumstances.2 points

Why is me stating that Mulford scoring, putting pressure on him. He won heat 4 at Birmingham, beat Roynon on Wednesday. He needs to start scoring at his home track. That is not being critical.2 points
-
Not putting pressure on Mulford then eh? He’s a 2 point average rider and up against two former Bears and veterans for goodness sake and that’s just in heat 2! It’s down to ALL the Bears and the guest being on top form , from heat one, something which is not a regular occurrence at home but they are capable of it. Poole ride Redcar as well , if not better , than their own track so it’s going to be a very tough one for the Bears.2 points

From the Berwick website When the fixtures were planned, May 6th was just another date on the calendar. No-one could have appreciated how a greater proportion than expected of the population (and therefore a greater proportion of the potential speedway crowd) would decide to celebrate the Royal day with a knees-up, and give our attraction a miss. From Wikipedia The organisation of the coronation was the responsibility of the earl marshal, the Duke of Norfolk.[8] A committee of privy counsellors arranged the event.[9][7] On 11 October 2022, the date of the coronation was announced as 6 May 2023, a choice made to ensure sufficient time to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II before holding the ceremony.[10][7]2 points

Poole scored 48 and 50 on their last 2 visits to Redcar, so still are favourites to go through. If the Bears can win on the night that’ll be a good result.2 points

Best ever quiz answer was: "In his ancient Greek epic poems, Homer described Nectar as the drink of the gods. What did he say was the food of the gods?" Answer: Well I know Homer likes doughnuts. So I'll say doughnuts.2 points

I'll happily accept some apologies if you like Peterborough fans. Billy Bigbollox not so much the future now is he Chapman is the easy target, when it's clear the responsibility for this team is more '2nd Hand Motormouth' & Allitt.2 points

I must have witnessed something different, Didn't see any dirt bladed off. Tractor went round both ways moving what dirt there was to cover track evenly.2 points

Hopefully get over 36 for the bonus point.I put over 38 as that is the most we have scored away so far this season.1 point

As I've already said how many Scunny fans would pay £30 to watch 15 heats they want to see and 15 their not in the slightest interested in,wonder what the excuses will be next double header?1 point

well yeah the Witches didnt get to celebrate their pairs win last year..1 point

No I would not, I run a successful business and I know to get the right person for the right job you have to pay the going rate, Rogers can stay there but as a odd job man, so could keep is promoter’s license, whilst Rogers is TM I will not attend Birmingham Speedway, and I know of at least 12 other supporters are of the same opinion, So really whilst he doesn’t get paid (how do you know this) he is in fact costing the club a lot of money.Having spoken to several Edinburgh supporters they said the Track on Wednesday was perfect it’s just that the Birmingham team are rubbish, a team presumably put together by Rogers1 point

This, i think is going to be a very interesting clash between 2 fairly even teams. Musielak is doing great things for the Tigers, but it's great to see how much Max has improved in the last few weeks riding not just for us but also in Sweden and Poland. He seems to have got his mojo back! Justin, for me, has been a revelation and Richard has been pulling in some impressive scores too. I suspect that this is a match with a few twists and turns as the evening progresses which should make good television, but you can't beat the real thing by getting your back side track side to experience the drama unfold and cheering the Lions on at Beaumaont Park. Lions for a slender win I think.1 point

Of all the people I would listen to on this forum you aren’t one of them. Hans did win us the title yes, but that’s irrelevant 17 years on when he’s a club captain scoring next too nothing1 point

Not unhappy with this either - the other thing is like King he is always trying if not in a scoring position, or if he is trying to get a better position - he wont just give up1 point

We had an excellent visit to Workington on Saturday (including John’s Plaice on the way home) and wish everyone the best of luck for its continued success. The setup is superb and will be the envy of many folks (especially us Edinburgh fans). The track held up so well especially given the heat. We expected a dust bowl but it was kept to a minimum. Plenty toilets & food outlets available and perfect viewing from above the track Looking forward to coming back1 point
