Whilst the Berwick fans will point to a poor performance from their side, it was an equally good performance from the Bears. Didnt really look a weak link tonight - having Riss back a lift for the whole side. Good to see King back on form, and both Hume and Bailey rode hard for not as many points as they may have deserved. But hats off to Mulford tonight, best home performance by a mile and rode really well. Shows what at least getting to the first bend in the mix can do, but made some great passes and will surely take a whole load of confidence from tonight. Knudsen had a strange night, looked excellent in his first two and then nowhere. Hook did his job but otherwise a poor performance. A big well done to Rory Schlein however - my nephews always stand and wave at the away riders vans as they leave. They often get a wave back, but Rory stopped his van and gave them a cap which they were absolutely over the moon with. A simple but effective way to get two new fans.6 points

Not sure I agree with the comments of calling posters "clueless" there can be arguments both ways of wether Workington or Leicester are weakened or not with their changes. A forum would be very boring if everyone agreed on everything - doesn't make someone with a different opinion to you "clueless"4 points

Have to disagree, the GPs are for the top 15 riders in the world. Unless he is finishing 15th/16th in every round, then he's clearly still at GP standard!3 points

Just watching thomsen saying he s happy to be back with a semi lol3 points

Crap GP, crap final. Please don’t return to this awful track. Even the fans know it’s dire as there were probably 3000 there at most.3 points

Indeed, not riding for the Aces on Thursday night at King's Lynn, obviously did wonders!! Seems he's scored a 15 point maximum for Rybnik today. So was he injured, or did Rybnik use their 'Polish influence' and prevented him from riding at Saddlebow Road?? Certainly has a whiff of fish or a rat.3 points

Think you're underestimating the strength of Workington. Luke Harrison will be fine fitness-wise, and is a class act. The R/R will be solid with a ride for Pijper, 2 rides for Harrison, and a ride for H McGurk and will produce a lot more points than the single point from Kelly in the Mildenhall home loss. Kelly has crashed a couple of times at reserve, and as you say riding top 5 is harder. Conversely riding at reserve is easier, and H McGurk has been a consistent, solid 7-8 .point heat leader in the last few seasons. The move to Workington has been a disaster so far, but you don't become a bad rider overnight. Moving to reserve could see him making hay. This could be the comeback meeting. Dan Thompson is the NL No.1 man. The Leicester side is built around big double figures from the twins. Roynon is capable of a big score, but as we saw last Saturday, it's not easy to replace the league No.1, so Leicester are much weakened. I'm not so worried about the Ward for Foord replacement. Foord is another erratic type who could crash out as easily as score points. Ward will have a go and pick up any gift points without pulling up too many trees.3 points

Need the two Russian lads in this to make it interesting.... Artem and Emil would give Bartek a challenge. .. Nobody else in this field will...2 points

It's the fans, his team mates and the Club who have been badly let down! It doesn't reflect very well on Speedway as a professional sport either!2 points

It was suggested his father was with him and could well have been the overwhelming influence in what occurred. Apparently car parks cannot be used as pits for health and safety reasons, this didn't suit and resulted in them leaving. If this is the case it is diabolical, there were a good few Leicester fans who gratefully made the journey and this action may well have cost them a victory bearing in mind the dominance Ashton demonstrated on track the last couple of weekends. It is these Leicester fans I feel a lot of sympathy for, quite disgraceful actually.2 points

I very much doubt whoever drove him up, would just let him leave and drive him back if they didn’t agree with him! Read into what you will. Young riders are usually influenced by their elder guardians. Henry Atkins was a lot like this, heavily influenced by his father and that often backfired for him. Thankfully, Atkins seems to have grown up now and is starting to show some potential.2 points

I might be wrong here but I don't think that the riders vans are parked in the pits at Leicester. There's not enough room for starters!2 points

I don't want to judge a rider before hearing his version of events, but if what I've read is true, it's the most embarrassing display I've ever heard of from a Speedway rider! Maybe Zmarzlik could complain about having too small a pit bay in the GPs but not Boughen at NL level! I also can't help but wonder who drove him up? At 15 he can't drive, so has he really thrown a strop which means his parents / mechanic has driven him all the way to Workington for nothing? Very keen to hear what the explanation is through official channels from Workington / Leicester / Boughen!2 points

How about a scenario where a potential buyer for the club, and current owner couldn’t come to an agreement over the sale . The potential buyer had already got his team sorted, but when the deal fell through the current owner couldn’t or wouldn’t honour the contracts that had been agreed, and the sponsors didn’t get the team they thought were buying in to . Just a thought2 points
-
I was there and that was followed with the more sponsorship we get the the lower that figure becomes. There is more sponsors this year so that figure goes down. The 1000 is without any sponsorship, so please don't just use the facts that suits your argument. Nigel Tolley is having a hard enough time at the moment and like the rest of speedway needs our support. It's easy to kick a dog when it's down.2 points

Yep, Tony is on facebook .. i couldn't make Wednesday but just done Leicester yesterday and Scunny today. Will be at Poole on Wednesday though2 points

Job done tonight, a match on paper we should've been winning. Top 5 were really solid, Complin worked hard for his points and young Ace was unlucky with his fall in Ht2. Was a lovely sight seeing the stadium emptying well before the last race. Only thing missing was Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves being played over the PA as they departed2 points

A good meeting today some good racing, may have been a different result if young Mr boughen did not throw his toys out of his pram !! Hope the several Leicester supporters enjoyed their trip Upto Costa del worky, also heard the ref Mr McGregor was very impressed with what he saw at Northside areana1 point

Every team should be allowed one senior rider such as Lee to help pass on advice to the younger riders , but the league should be about development1 point

So, Teterow is crap. Prague is crap. Cardiff is crap. No doubt some others I've forgotten are crap. You don't want Poland to hold multiple GP's. So, where are we going to hold them?1 point

Mr boughen was at northside arena, but apparently did not like the new pits layout, no vans allowed in the pits now, , he wanted to use the car park beside his van as his own personal pit !!!1 point

Really looking forward to this one, a fantastic lineup and it’s all set for some sunny speedway at Berwick. Last week was a cracker of a meeting and I’m sure the Bullets will be out fighting for the win. You won’t want to miss it.1 point

I suspect the length of that future will depend to an extent on the meeting with the Landlords later this month, if the Landlords want to follow the same pathway as Entain are doing at Monmore, then what's the point in carrying on ?.1 point

I personally think the racing is as good as any era I have watched in, and better than most.. I can though watch a meeting not caring who wins which may help... Looking forward to watching Laguta at the NSS, and if he gets an 18 max I am sure it will be great to watch.. Looking forward to Emil going to the NSS again too.. Will attend domestic Speedway more this year than I have for years, given the riders we now have..1 point

Not that deluded, I am not going again either. I suspect that very few others will take the same step, but it does highlight - yet again - how the stupidity, spite and crass actions of those running speedway have led to paying customers abandoning the sport.1 point
