  1. As as regular attendee at Foxhall this season i can say Emil has been an absolute pleasure to have at my club Performances on the track for obvious reasons But off the track he interacts with all fans after a meeting often the last one to ho get changed … lets the kids sit on his bike and will have as many photos as people wish …. A thoroughly decent human being

  2. So Harris for Laguta and Morris for MPT. My enthusiasm has finally eroded down to zero. Don't tell us fibs about injuries, if Laguta can't be afforded or Wroclaw don't want him riding here or at Monmore then tell us the truth. The club needs a massive overhaul in the winter, a brand new approach from top to bottom and running at a level we can prosper at whatever that is. No wonder crowds are dismal.

  3. Must admit, I am a bit disappointed by the response of some on here.. No one seems concerned as to Artem's welfare in all of this.. Get well soon Artem... #prayforartem....

  4. I'm sure many Wolves fans were looking forward to seeing Laguta ride at Monmore tonight but are now denied that pleasure. Seems crazy that Belle Vue fans had the opportunity to see him but Wolves fans won't. If riders are contracted to a club they should ride and certainly in all league matches.

  5. More people believed King's Lynn pit gate was broken than believe Laguta is actually injured

  6. Seems to me that it is no coincidence that Chapman said last week that the King's Lynn team is over budget and then his week Laguta isn't riding.

  7. If they told the truth they would get a facility for Laguta with holding his services… and probably have abit of sympathy from their own fans for being honest. Outright lying with a sentence that “Laguta is injured, so Chris Harris guests” is utter b0ll0cks.

  8. Isn’t he supposed to be cleaning up this sort of mess? It’s a shambles of a situation. Kings Lynn look like morons for trying to claim Artem is injured, when clearly he isn’t. British Speedway management look like morons and so weak for not putting a stop to it, at risk of upsetting Buster…. Ask to see his flights that were booked (and now cancelled) to show he was actually meant to be coming. And you filter all the way back down the channels and the ones who ultimately end up suffering and being lied to is the fans. But who cares about them anyway?

  12. Sad to see such a decline in what was four or five years ago a passable sport. The top league should be abandoned. Two leagues only with riders who are prepared to ride u k speedway as a their main league and any overseas clubs who they join are aware that the British fixtures take precedent. If it means you end up with part time riders who have jobs outside the sport so be it, it was not that bad last time it was run on this basis. It has no future as it is currently run. Once great teams/tracks like KL and Peterborough have been sacrificed by promoters who fail to operate in the interest of the entire sport. I really hope that someone with some vision can drag this out of the mess and make a successful before it is consigned to history. We cannot compete with overseas clubs/ leagues so stop pretending we can.

  15. Begs the question why should fans bother to turn up if their team’s riders cannot be arsed?

  16. Impossible to compete with a council funded team. Bewley, Kurtz, Wright and Lidsey. Would love to see the wage bill.

  17. We've finally got an out and out No.1 around Peterborough...........Unfortunately we've still got Andersen and Worrall.

  18. The new KL team manager knows how to get the opposition fired up that's for sure.

  19. Come on. It's all Mickey Mouse bollox granted, but you have a young lad making his debut who looks very useful and Bewley and Kurtz there... Could be some cracking racing... I presume that given it is on Eurosport they have reduced the admission to a tenner to get a big crowd in and make it look like a popular place to be and a successful sport...? With two free hours of advertising to showcase yourself, you would be daft not to wouldnt you? Maybe ask the new fella how is Uncle is bearing up as well?

  20. You are correct, but wasting your time... They have the sport they want.. A hobby that isnt taken too seriously and has no forensic analysis, nor review.. It could be so much more if the skill set of those in charge was fit for purpose.. And that is the real frustration... So many in charge of clubs today have overseen a huge decline in the sport during their tenure, so clearly dont have the capability to turn it around, and, sadly, when new ideas have come in, those with them are soon sent away disillusioned, leaving the sport to those dinosaurs who are quite happy to continue with their hobby that masquerades as a sporting contest..

  21. Laguta is about as injured as the pit gate was broken earlier in the season. Buster is certainly getting his moneys worth from the ladybird book of bullrubbish this season

  28. The whole situation is a farce! They wonder why they can't get fans through the turnstiles, well look no further than this. Surely there must be some sort of enquiry in to how a rider contracted to ride in a meeting in the UK and yet rode well in Poland on Sunday, can simply not turn up for his UK fixture? I assume he has a medical certificate which I thought was required?
    3 points
  29. Pretty sure Doyle would have been there if it wasn’t for his rearranged Polish fixture. He done most if not all the Pairs meetings he could last year. Low pay or not he’d have done it. But that’s Doyle for you.

  36. Hume isn't exactly 4.00. He will have an average whereby the third decimal point used either, rounds it up or down to 4.00. Rew's average is lower than 4.00 now but, any rider who starts the season on an assessed average, is not allowed to drop below 4.00.

  37. I can't see Buster promoting anywhere in 2024. Lynn are going to need someone to buy the promotion to continue imho.

  38. As its quite possibly the last time a meeting will be televised from the Showground before its closure Hope everyone who tunes into the meeting tonight , will take a moment and have some form of fond memory of travelling to Peterborough and watching a meeting at what was once a great speedway track and respected speedway club ,

  39. I'm positive option 2 still allows them a 6.00 guest, "no facility available" means guests up to 75% of average, not juniors.

  41. Imagine, going on a Speedway forum to discuss speedway matters. How bonkers is that?! For what it’s worth, I stopped spending money on British Speedway a long time ago now!

  42. How forgiving of Bluster to book Chris Harris as a guest for Artem, especially as he was the rider who "wiped" Artem out in the bone crunching collision at Saddleblow last week. Artem might never ride in an away meeting ever again . Hope he recovers for the next home meeting.

  43. Maybe I should rephrase that - we all suspect he’s not injured. He himself declared last week he was absolutely fine. Wroclaw said he was fine. He was out on a motocross bike last week apparently and then rode 5 races yesterday absolutely fine. I was also told early last week that there was no way would he be riding away at Wolves on Monday from a reliable source… so my suspicions are, maybe, just maybe…. He’s not injured. I’m sure Phil Morris and co will look into this though and check out which flight he was due to be on this morning and look for flight purchase history plus medical injury records to prove otherwise - once he’s finished cleaning the helmet line up board for the riders to use on the tele tonight and cleaning the toilets with Carl Johnson

  44. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/premiership/morris-appointed-premiership-ceo/ Former rider and manager Morris, who will continue as FIM Race Director at Grand Prix and World Cup events, takes on the newly created position with the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of Premiership business. 47-year-old Morris will be a major decision-maker at the top of the Premiership, both in terms of rulebook interpretation and race-night operations, and the specifics of his role also include an active involvement in the running of televised meetings. ———— So, implementing and interpretation of the rules and all aspects of Premiership business. Yep, I think this shambles falls under that umbrella.

  48. Thing is, Brady has said that he's left the club financially stable for the remainder of the season & Buster says the team is over budget. One of them is lying.
