  1. Just to Thank BSN for coverage this season, really well done, brilliant quality pictures and a nice relaxing way it’s is presented.Outstanding value for money. WELL DONE GUYS.

  2. What a strange post. Shovlar has been fairly gracious considering, and although he likes a windup, he's hardly pushed the envelope. You've spouted more on here than a thread about your own team losing their respective final - it's odd behaviour. You're - I assume - a grown adult and yet you're wrapped round Shovlar's little finger like a yappy dog whenever he pushes your buttons. As for Richard Lawson, I can't think of a more inoffensive rider. Disliked? Just cause he might have beat one of your team's riders once it doesn't mean he's disliked by everyone else.

  3. I knew as soon as I seen that happen on the stream some outright whopper on here would mention it. Congratulations @SJA you are that whopper.

  4. Would have him back at Glasgow in a heartbeat, but not at the expense of Bomber, which I thought I would never be saying at the start off the season.

  6. Drew kemp is doubtful, taresenko on standby to guest for scunthorpe at reserve.

  7. To be honest isn't this why fans walk away, rules are only followed when it suits certain individuals. I've managed to ignore all the rubbish that goes on in this sport and just enjoy the racing but with Monmore going I'm losing interest now. Things like this that never bothered me before are starting to annoy me now especially without a team to follow

  8. Yeah I agree 100%, being a Stars fan it’s definitely been tough since topping the league in 2018

  10. Really hope this isn't the case but can understand if he chooses to only do the Prem next year. Already a Scunthorpe legend, and I am sure he will be back in the future if not next season

  11. Having to watch Edinburgh this season would drive anyone to drink even a tee total evangelist.

  12. I think on the night just the trophy should be presented. Medals should only be presented to riders who have ridden an agreed percentage of matches through the season ( which of course should have been agreed before the season).

  13. Now that the points limit has been agreed, Peter Facenna has discovered that Vadim has some Scottish ancestry from the ancient (but not very well known) Celtic-Russian alliance. He therefore qualifies for a British passport and will in fact be coming back next year on a 2-point average. From here on he’ll be known as Vadim Gus (short for Angus) McTarasenko.

  14. Has Tarasenko ridden enough meetings to get an average considering the Play Offs don't count...? He could start the season at reserve next year if so.... Imagine the meltdown.....

  15. Crowd was well over a thousand , which for a meeting hastily rearranged twice wasn't bad . The crowd levels at Glasgow are generally pretty healthy

  16. A tasteless thread, love them or hate them, Poole has been the most successful team in speedway and every team should aspire to be at their level, when we lost to Poole a couple of years ago, Glasgow fans congratulated them, there was no animosity, we have fought to get to their level and we achieved it this season. I would hope that some Poole fans would have congratulated the travelling support as there are some really nice Poole fans, lets face it all teams have 1 or 2 that go too far. Poole are not finished yet they still have the KO cup to fight for,and already have the BSN trophy. As for Glasgow, we have put a lot in to upgrading facilities and stadium, and it is not extra money for riders from management, they try to get sponsorship for riders, anyway I am going to enjoy this season and look forward to the fight next season.

  18. So the rules are ignored by Mr Godfrey to the benefit of Poole and Scunthorpe and the detriment of Workington and the NDL. Interesting that neither Poole or Scunthorpe have NDL teams and the memory of how the NDL were treated when IOW were forced out of BSPL sanctioned racing and went under the NORA banner. This is starting to look like a situation where the NDL could be dropped which means IOW could be joined by a number of other clubs. If that happens it will the exact opposite to what BSPL would want which just shows how good they are at guiding the sport in the right direction and also proves why the sport is in such a mess. So how does NORA league with IOW, Kent, Plymouth, Mildenhall and Workington sound for a starting point?

  19. Some people need to remember that Richard Lawson has been carrying a leg/ankle injury in recent weeks which he will not have treated til the close season!

  20. Harsh re Richard Lawson. In the past The guy wouldn’t count Armadale as a favourite track but this season he was a joy to watch there both for and against Edinburgh.

  21. Lawson for the normal season, Bomber for the playoffs, sure that can be engineered within the rules next season by someone.....just a thought....

  22. Strange one that, he gushes over Emil, but struggles badly with anything Ipswich, he always has.

  23. Lawson guested for Sheffield in the final, should be happy with him as he didnt score many points. Lawson isnt disliked, even Glasgow fans who call him the son of god dont dislike him.

  26. have you ever listened to the current Birmingham promoter in a podcast? Sounds like a nice guy, but also sounds like he has no idea what he is doing

  27. Could do with a prime Gollob / Rickardsson / Crump also. Nicki P was box office and was the reason he was so doted at Eastbourne Eagles. Out and out #1 was a hard rider and wanted to win. He probably saw the opportunity that the angry man bed persona could make him box office or more money. From experiences of my family bumping into him at Cardiff he seems a very open and polite imdividual - Polar opposite to his mantra once in kevlars.

  28. I spoke to Geoff Collins a couple of weeks ago about this; he just grinned and said, 'Irons in the fire'.

  29. Cradley’s biggest problem is an obvious one, the lack of land available in the Cradley /Dudley area, I have seen first hand the efforts to secure some land to put a track but you would be surprised how much land is owned by the church and they are not interested in putting a speedway track on any of it, there has been a few glimmers of hope over the last year or so but they have ultimately come to nothing but the search goes on, hopefully one site will be the breakthrough, the will is there

  30. These different race nights,eg Monday/Thursdays doesn’t for the sport. It needs a constant regular racenight .No regard for the fans IMO.(Tv dictates though).

  32. I’m sure the Owner of Cab Direct will ensure that won’t happen, I have heard he is involved in a Scottish based speedway team.

  33. I don't think it would be right to change the rules so that it effects taresenko that was all correct and above board, change the rules to stop it happening again, fair enough.

  34. 99% sure will bring a rule in that noone can have an assessed average that has an actual average. so they'll have to have a different assessed average based on the average they have unless it's reassessed based on some other for of assessment

  35. You have me very wrong. I congratulate Glasgow on their win. But if I point out that the signing of Tarasenko completely changed Glasgow from playoff candidates to clear favourites, it seems to upset their fanbase. When it was clear for all to see.

  37. You don't think nowak could've matched his 8 from 5 rides, which was 5 from his first 4 rides? Tarasenko was pretty average both legs against Oxford. But don't let that get in the way of your flawed logic

  38. I never said you didn’t mention it when first signed. I am saying if you had won last night he wouldn’t have been mentioned in the here and now. Its because we won last night it is being dragged up again unsurprisingly.

  39. I know its been difficult for you and I can understand your frustration but thought I'd add some facts to your emotional outbursts. From the BSPL web site, Marcin Nowak's Rolling Average from 14 meetings was 7.16. His real average (not Green Sheet) based on his 10 meetings this year was 6.70. His home average was 6.30 and his away average was 7.25. Now do you really think these are the figures of a "no hoper"?

  40. You asked the question. I gave the answer. Though I gave it the day Tarasenko was signed. I wrote, on the Glasgow 2023 thread, Posted August 24 Ridiculous that Tarasenko has the same 5 average in both Premier and Championship. There’s really no doubt whatsoever that Glasgow with this signing will win the Championship this season. They won’t need decent reserves as the top 5 will be overpowering. It’s a signing similar to Lambert coming into BV last season to win the playoffs for them. But if it is within the rules, then so be it.

  43. He’s been a menace of this forum for years. He can give it but can’t take it, remember him quitting the forum when Coventry beat them, he has also stormed out of meetings in a strop when Poole are losing. Seems to have an army of minions though.

  44. How about the Birmingham Guests? With Chris Harris as captain?

  45. Throw in hefty question marks surrounding the futures of Plymouth, Edinburgh & Birmingham in the coming seasons. The custodians of the sport for the past 15 years should hang their heads in shame. No need for a NDL as there won't be a sport to progress into in 5 years time. Cheers UK Speedway it was fun while it lasted.

  47. I tend to agree with CR, had Zmarzlik been in the Crump, Pedersen, Gollob, Rickardsson era he'd have been eating much much more plywood. Absolutely nobody want to ride him to the fence when he goes round them. When he dive bombs, nobody tactically jumps off their bike. Speedway has become to nice
