Luke's task this year is to up his average away from home and as long as he ends the year a better rider than he started we are happy. Boy rode well today whilst still feeling the affects of Wednesdays crash. Sorry he's not getting 15 every meeting to keep the keyboard hero's happy but never mind it's only speedway5 points

When there is no clubs left in the West Midlands the sport is official in the clink, I banged on about this 15-20 years ago about changes that need to be made both inside and outside the track, I don’t have all the answers or indeed may have non but the writing was on the wall from the late 90s but who am I ? It’s not your money yada yada yada and I took stick from some real tossers from both sides of the fence who are still running the sport into the ground today, angry ? damn right I am, I have lived speedway all my life and it’s really starting to hurt badly now and if I’m honest I think the sport is finished as a professional sport in the uk and I don’t know where we go from here 😢4 points

"Devastating news to those few hundred people"... Says it all.... Never more than a tier 2 team at best given their fanbase, yet had to get shoe horned into tier 1... I hope Nigel gets plenty of punters between now and season end, and it offsets at least some of the tremendous costs he has incurred keeping afloat a sport in a town that not enough people could be bothered to watch.. Should get plenty of away fans for their teams' last meeting ever at Perry Barr.4 points

But you call him worse than you know what in every post, maybe try backing him for a change instead of wanting him binned off after every meeting. Maybe he is performing under par but considering the season he had last year with constant injuries I wouldn’t have expected him to come out flying and I think your expectations are probably too high for him these days a good night for him is double figures but 7-8 will probably be the norm once he gets up to speed, Rowe will be your second HL by seasons end with Kerr and Cook behind would be my prediction.3 points

Dan Thompson, so no profile he's not even been nominated for rider of the night when he's clearly been the best rider on view!3 points

How good it is to see the progress of Dan Thompson, way ahead of some of his higher profile contemporaries, has often been overlooked as far as the GB Speedway team goes, more due to his low (no) profile way of going about things.3 points

Hopefully that’s what Lynn fans get great racing on a well prepared track and I’m sure the team will pick up more wins as the season progresses .3 points

The track needed some water on it after heat 8 onwards very dusty indeed. But still, some fantastic racing tonight especially ones involving Jack Holder. Heat 15 was an epic pass on Doyley who shook hands with both Picko and Jack at the end of the race which was all good to see. two good teams going at it, much rather see a close meeting than a 60-30 drubbing. a couple of falls and a couple of engine failures added to the drama. Both will comfortably make the play offs, but Ipswich will definitely be the team to beat due to how good they are round foxhall.3 points

Fair shout but I'm including away matches as well as home. Luke only seems to do well at Scunthorpe saying that he's at a difficult number 2 position granted and hopefully his away points will start to come in when he goes back to reserve shortly2 points

Superb from Howarth and Thompson, but what a joke of a finale; a “super heat”.😂 Massive credit to Boughen. A young boy who’s found himself a victim of his own success in the main body of the team at just 17 years old, but what a performance from him. Classy.2 points

Another very sad day for British speedway. Doesn’t feel like it will be long until this happens to my club too. Heartbreaking for the loyal brummies fans2 points

Jesus, that’s a brutally honest interview from Lambert. I feel sorry for him; blatantly fearing for his job.2 points

Mid May and Top 4 more or less sorted barring injuries or a team pulling a rabbit out the hat of a signing - that’s poor for any sport - makes me wonder the next 3 and half months of league racing going to be like ?2 points

So sorry that the track wasn’t prepared to Bombers liking as a visiting rider. I’m sure Mr Dickson will consult him prior to the next time Bomber is back riding for the Stars and every other team in the league on his returns to the venue. Whilst I’m still a big fan of Bomber and love watching him race, he should be above making comments about track prep criticism for someone of his ability at this stage of his career.2 points

What a race. That’s what speedway is all about. Unbelievable from Thompson and Howarth, but credit where it’s due, Kennedy should take a bow.1 point

How many points do they get for a "moral" victory? As for the Tigers heat leaders' colours being lowered, they scored 29+2 whilst Ippo's scored 23+2.... or was there an additional six "moral" points scored that nobody noticed?1 point

You have the opportunity to whet people's appetite for the SGP. And they put this drivel out to the world.1 point

I fully understand what you saying Ian, but it is still £650....... PLUS you get a better viewing experience at home on the telly. For sure there will be corporate seating their, but when you look at the crowd many/most of them look like "normal/average" people And its not just the world championship snooker that gets massive tv exposure, its other major championships from around the UK, Europe, middle and far east. Speedway at its best is an amazing sport to watch, not everyone's cup of tea for sure, certainly the sport does not get the publicity it deserves I read a comment from Dan Bewley re that amazing last race at the British Championship the other week.. something like..that's what this track can deliver when prepared well. Sounded to me he was having a dig at what the wrong input in track preparation can have at the 2 GP's in June, leave it to BV staff and it will be good...leave it to others and it could be average. If Charles Wright and Chris Harris can challenge the likes of Dan and Robert in that final race then, potentially, all 23 races will be amazing hot....if the tracks right.1 point

The same as the first two months . ie. Just go along and watch the racing, without focusing too much on who wins and who doesn't... The beauty of the sport is two poor riders, or teams, can still deliver some great racing.... (If a promoter chooses to prepare a decent track to race on obviously)...1 point

That’s because he struggled in the Silver Helmet on Monday( watch the video), which was mighty surprising how well he rode 24 hours previously. He finished 9th with the Bronze medal won by the 15 year old wonder kid Pawelczak.1 point

Did you go to watch the speedway or complain about every little thing that has very little to do with the racing.1 point

Superb meeting that was. Speedway as it should be with two good sides going at it, a close scoreline and some cracking racing. Credit to both sets of riders. Credit to Ipswich as they are living up to the hype and showing why they're the favourites for the league.1 point

Still would've worked out better, if Palovaara beats Hodder as expected that's Monarchs 2 points better off. Wether Castagna was first or last, Palovaara for Marson gains more points.1 point
