I don't see the issue! more celebs doing this putting the sport in the spotlight and talking point is only good! They are trying something different, it could sink or swim but worth a try.10 points

So everyone knocking linda lusardi doing the draw really!! What harm is it,I guess you would all rather have Godfrey and vatcher doing it,that is why speedway struggles to move forward soon as anything different is tried all the old farts start moaning, get a grip ffs!8 points

The harm is in how speedway presents itself In a time where we have seen all of the work that has gone on to make the sport look more professional and modern in its presentation on tv etc how do you sell that to potential sponsors and media partners if they then go on the associations official social media and see this. What large company would put their name to something as amateurish If we accept stuff like this as ok then we are accepting that speedway is now an amateur colloquial sport that will never be taken seriously.6 points

Page 3 Birds, talk to me! When Ryan Guest visited T Tibbs Motors Limited showroom in Chingford last week, I wondered why he was flicking through my little black book! The crafty little bugger obviously lifted Lindi's number and called her, hours later ding dang dong deal done and Lindi's on video with her hands all over Robbie's balls! Talking of video's I can confirm Lindi has also struck a deal with Main Man Rogers to appear on his Only Fans site, where she will be scantily clad and posing in his VIP Caravan at Buxton Raceway! I can confirm that Main Man Rogers acquired Krystof Stojanowski's caravan that for many years was parked in the IOW car park before Busty C purchased it along with a bunch of log cabins! Thank you, good night and much love Terence5 points

Apparently they’ve got Hugh Edward’s to do the under 15s draw5 points

I think the issues around BSN are simple. Without them, we wouldn't have any league speedway on TV this year at all.5 points

Surely they could have got Harry Redknapp to do it, given his long association with paper bags.4 points

The only thing the powers that be are engaged in are their own self importance. No chance of thinking outside the box and looking at the demographic of the potential audience. I am assuming that they can spell and understand the definition of demographic. One lives in hope but cannot fail to be disappointed by the actions of a few who have brought the sport to its knees.4 points

To cut out all speculation Luke was offered £15 a point to ride at two clubs as this is the standard rate for heat leaders and he would of been number 1 at both clubs. He has made the decision not to race in the Ndl this season not because of the money4 points

They decided to go for an 80's page three girl on Cameo when they could have been forward thinking and gone with somebody younger and far more relevant to today's youth. James Buckley (Jay from The Inbetweeners) likes his sports and has recently got interested, and now involved, in British Ice Hockey. His podcast that he does with his wife now sponsors Chelmsford Chieftains who have reported an increase in attendances due to his involvement. What better way to try and promote the sport than getting him involved? Get him to do the draw, promote the sport and invite him to some meetings, with no better publicity than him talking about it on his podcast?! We need to be targeting the younger market FFS. Whoever signed off on Linda Lusardi wants firing. Talk about living in the past.4 points

You've got to laugh at Reid Battye's quote about Berwick...... “I’ve heard it’s a really big speedway town and it’s on the coast. I live near the beach in Australia so it’s probably the same – just a bit colder!” Me thinks he's in for a bit of a shock4 points

Very sad to hear this. Terry along with Ivan Henry were great at Arena for the years they were there. I know he was part of the consortium trying to bring Speedway back to Swindon so this must have been sudden. All the best to his family and friends at this time.4 points

Last season between the NDL/NDT there were 50 "league" meetings. This year with only the NDL there will be 30. That drop off is alarming. Particularly when we should be trying harder than ever to establish some strong foundations for the sport here. The following quote from the press release looks to me like no more than lip service too. So we have some tracks running a full third tier campaign and others who can just get away with the ambiguous "Second Half Open Invitation". Of course there are differing restrictions at certain tracks but there has to be more than the odd second half. It should be mandatory for professional tracks to run at least two NDL level meetings during the season. The benefit of doing this over a second half would be the riders and their team (generally parents at this level) would know they're guaranteed a ride weather permitting rather than the always in the balance chances they have to take by turning up for a second half. If the tracks lose money on these meetings it's not ideal but it is an investment in their riders of the future, without whom there won't be anyone to help them make money in the long run. Furthermore I'd like to think when the riders coming through reach "professional" standard they'd choose to race for a club that actually put some effort in to the third tier rather than one that did the bare minimum but can throw more money at them. We all know that's wishful thinking though. As with everything in British Speedway there is too much ambiguity. There should be hard and fast rules in place with consequences for those who don't toe the line. The top riders don't want to be here. We need to focus on developing more riders domestically, instead we've almost halved the meetings available to them. Pretty pathetic really.4 points

Why??? Who thought this was a good idea? I'm sure it was Rob Godfrey's wet dream to see inside her Travelodge room, but what in the name of Jesus's bicycle clips??????3 points

And there it is the true demographic of all the moaning sexist bigots that bang on about the need for changes in British speedway.3 points

100%. Can imagine him driving past with the car window down shouting "BSPA W*nkers"3 points

I don’t mind who rides in the league as long as they not breaking pay scales to do it and quite clearly they are, one thing speedway never does is learn from its own mistakes3 points

That’s an open secret and I don’t care how loud RG shouts that all NDL clubs are paying the ‘ standard agreed rate ‘ the likes of Lambert, Mulford , Harrison , Bowtell etc are not riding for £10 a point !3 points

£30 message video from Cameo, using paper pulled from a leftover Xmas gift bag in Linda's bedroom. This is bad, even for speedway 😀3 points

Bang on. There's a world of difference between being innovative or thinking outside the box and this. Can you imagine any other sport paying £27 for a Cameo of Linda Lusardi doing a draw for one of their competitions? Even if we forget that Cameo is used for p1sstaking videos more often than not...Linda Lusardi? Really? There are plenty of good ideas floated on here and social media, most of which would probably be genuinely good. This wasn't one. It makes no sense to think we should be positive about something because it hasn't been tried before. If next year's FA Cup draw is done through by Ulrika Johnson through Cameo, I'll come back here and admit I was wrong. We'll see.2 points

Well that would be ironic as he also said he can’t believe that Simon Lambert and Alfie Bowtell don’t have a team place and that all English riders should get a place before any foreign riders.2 points

A certain few teams forcing the points limit up to 42 this year, otherwise toys were out the pram. Leagues going to be a bit of a joke this year imo. Nothing development league about it just wait till a certain team announces one rider they’ve signed.2 points

100%... Without doubt, hardly anything, (if anything at all), has been done to engage those different ethnically diverse communities now found around many track locations.. But, you could also say the same about engaging the indigenous population who make up the majority of the fanbase too...2 points

and now we have riders like Mulford who were ruled out of NDL because of averages being allowed back in ( not his fault by the way as he doesn’t appear to have a premiership slot anymore ). How many more championship second strings are going to be taking the place of newbies ?2 points

One of the biggest (non self inflicted), reasons for the demise of the sport for me.... As an example, I ran a supermarket in Bradford with over 30,000 customers, with an 80% "Asian" customer base.. Many major cities and towns have changed demographically, hugely, since the halcyon days of the 60's... And also became filled with commercial and apartment buildings, rather than the replaced traditional terraced residential properties which used to hold "working class" families, who made up a huge portion of the fanbase for many tracks...2 points

plenty of diversity in the places mentioned that have no interest in speedway2 points
