Not me, he's is a Great Britain Speedway living legend. He's done nothing to deserve the hate at all. I'd argue with anyone, that without him, we may never have seen the likes of Lambert & Bewley competing near the top on the World stage. He singlehandedly demanded & lifted the standards of our international setup. We were an international laughing stock before this guy came along. He's a little hyper, swears a bit, has a little arrogance, grew up in Australia. Who gives a feck. Wearing that Union Jack, he's given everything, almost killing himself a few times doing so. Like you, I do not get the hate at all.9 points

I just don’t know where they expect the fans to come from, a few from Peterborough and maybe a few from Coventry and there will be some novelty fans at the first meeting so unless they are bankrolling it somehow this has Skegness written all over it and the sport was a lot healthier then6 points

The championship teams (In this case the steerage passengers) are rowing away in the lifeboats, whilst the Premiership teams ( luxury passengers) are quaffing cigers and brandy convinced the ship won't sink!5 points

I don’t hate him, I don’t like him but I respect what he has achieved and as much as I dislike him he would be the first name on the list if I was putting on a big individual meeting because he is a headline generator and gets people talking and is vastly underused by British speedway as a marketing tool, the less said about his music the better though4 points

Also shows why the limits shouldn't yo-yo around. 38 point limit last year introduced a several non ready riders combined with natural average inflation and a short season seeing riders like Simpson on averages higher than their probable ability.....therefore the need to jump up to 42. Why can't that NL just stick at a number (ideally 42) with 3.00 minimum and maybe things will start to level out again.4 points

As it stands and with the rumoured team, I’d Fuc***g take him in a heartbeat! 😁4 points

As pointless as a broken pencil making any kind of prediction at this stage4 points

I wonder if any club from Belle Vue, Leicester, Kings Lynn,& Sheffield are regretting being involved in this shambles. It must be having a big financial effect on all of them. Trouble is they are deep in it now.4 points

A good, informative, interview (again), in the Speedway Star with Matt Ford and he mentions Vaculik and his injury inducing, short lived, stint at Leicester, which cost him thousands as he had to pay back his signing on money to his Polish team... A big risk for riders to come over here when you are talking high five, and sometimes six, figure signing on fees that have a "pay back clause" if injured riding in other leagues...4 points

Think they used the same equation that they used to get Max Perry into your Ndl team a few years ago . Don't seem to remember a great debate on that4 points

Well it’s a good job that they have been announced early and have been heavily promoted and already have advertising around the area so as the potential fans are aware that a new speedway team is coining to town and you can already get any club merchandise ready for their first meeting in 5 weeks time 🙄3 points

Northampton to withdraw from the league in June, saying just not enough fans supporting the venture3 points

I for one would be very happy to see Tai lining up for us, absolutely flew around Foxhall on his first visit in years for Sheffield a couple of seasons ago and remarked he’d forgotten how much fun he found the smaller tracks people hate on him and yet complain we don’t have any characters anymore 🤷♂️3 points

My prediction is Ipswich scrape in to fourth, then bring in Doyle at the very least when other leagues shut up shop and pi$$ the play offs 🤪3 points

When clubs put information out on their websites and social media, they also have to send the press release to the BSPL Press Office. The BSPL Press Office then put it on the BSPL website and social media. If nothing about Buxton is on the BSPL website and social media, it will be because the Buxton Press Officer has sent nothing to the BSPL Press Office. (Since the BSPL have a link to the Buxton website, but the Buxton website is dead, that seems to confirm it is Buxton who are failing to get news out).3 points

My prediction… Bomber to ride for every team at least once during the season. The sport’s credibility will be upheld however due to careful fixture planning to make sure that he does not roll up to the tapes for a race and look across to see himself representing the opposition. I have total faith in the BSPA for the forthcoming season and trust that clubs have plans in place to cope with inevitable crowd level surges based on the exciting future of the sport pitched by the BSPA at the end of last season. Just hope I’m quick enough to get my season ticket (when they are released) before they sell out. Sarcastic?…..Moi?……2 points

I predict kings lynn and Northampton will be relegated. Glasgow and Poole ( who else ) will be promoted and Spurs will win the Champions league. I know my stuff …2 points

Whilst everyone seems to get very frustrated etc I'm actually impressed that they have managed to achieve this in about 3 months - given it was only decided in early / Mid Nov that Louis was selling up and they were working to a tight deadline - its credit to all parties its been achieved! I know many have joked about what are you buying etc etc etc but you don't just walk into a shop and select Ipswich Speedway off the shelf and walk out with it! I agree that perhaps comms could have been a bit sharper but thats speedway all over - also whilst time drags for us waiting it flies for those involved in selling / buying!! It's also not up to Louis to annouce the team - that's new owners job!2 points

The "professional" bit is no doubt the defence we'll hear (if we hear anything). It's also strange that the rule was brought in, yet how many riders have made comebacks? I think it's a good idea, but you'd have thought they'd heard whispers of at least a handful of riders wanting to come back. Seems not.2 points

No. Why didn’t they do that in the previous two seasons then? Doyle has been hitting 9+ averages for donkeys years! And Emil was only ever here for a short stint. Lowering their averages makes zero sense. They’re in decline.2 points

Spot on Dean....Seriously Embarrassing....That statement last night, has given us nothing we didn't know, apart from we have 5 riders signed, whereas before team plans were completed, don't believe any of it. 2 Weeks time is virtually March....2 points

Come on now let’s not 😂 Two completely different situations in a two completely different leagues. Let’s not start trying to compare apples with pears.2 points

Just makes even more depressing reading, guests and constant changing of our ‘regular’ race night is just annoying, anyone else remember the posters at the old Cleveland Park…RACING EVERY THURSDAY , MARCH TILL OCTOBER ‘ ?2 points

The obvious solution to rider averages for this season would have been to combine NDL and NDT averages from 2025. Not rocket science to do.1 point

Thats whats needed for the Witches in 2026 some new youngster who can ride a bike like the Cowboy in his prime how I miss all those brilliant american riders from back in the day.1 point

Surely its trying to compare apple cider and Perry....... One was tweaking a rule post season starting the other squeezing one in pre season with the caveat that it will be taken out if it doesn't suit Scunthorpe at the end of the year either way both are nonsense.1 point

I was going to add R87 to my Ignore list, but then realised that I would never see his apology for getting it so wrong with his constant negativity.1 point

Simon Lambert it is. Ultimately on that average around scunny you couldn’t get much better. The side is clearly made to win at home and you can’t really argue with that1 point

Yes , it's a sign of how rapidly the way we watch our tv is changing.. I'm sure I read recently that Sky were after ITV & we all know what that would mean , the broadcasters maximizing their income whilst minimizing the subscriber's bank balance.1 point

As far as I am aware Warner bros are selling some of their business , so i think TNT will disappear. I have a tv deal that includes TNT so if the transfer to HBO is going ahead next month I would expect to hear something official very soon. I'll let you know if I do😁1 point

Agreed you would think it would be a quick easy win get matches on in June, July and August when people can be outside to 9pm ish in jeans and t shirts but nope not happening.1 point

I have said it for years the national league should go their own way with the blessing of the bspl, ultimately the higher leagues don’t and never have cared for the NL unless there is some sort of financial gain for them, they get jealous of any NL club that has any financial success and set out to penalise that club, the fake outrage when a Nora league was mooted was speedway in a nutshell, our way or no way, the likes of Barry bishop understand the bspl mentality, don’t expect any help because they don’t care1 point

Don't like some of the big gaps in home fixtures for Poole, 7 weeks without a home fixture is not good1 point
