  1. You are not usually very funny but this one's a belter lol Fair play to Josh after all that nursery school stuff last season he posed for a picture for me waving next time he was up! Dont think my sense of humour went down well in some quarters when I posted it though (Always thought it was bizarre that something like this was aimed at Josh - I've admired his excellent professional persona from day one at Glasgow, a lot of young riders could learn from him that way imo)
  2. He's a Glasgow asset who knows Scunthorpes track like the back of his hand. Look at the fixtures that are on and the riders available - who do you reckon is a better bet?
  3. look at what happened to us in heat 1. If that happened to Rye House in heat 12........ And as you say, James was there as was his bike. Round Ashfield I'd fancy his chances against opposition reserve riders Are we allowed to agree twice on one thread?
  4. Paul, you and I are in 100% agreement - is this a first? lol It looks as if Anders ankle is not broken but the worry is - does that mean there is other damage such as ligament? (spot the pessimist) He was certainly in a great deal of pain. I've moaned about the lack of no 8 since we had to use r/r. Its ludicrous on so many counts not to have a no 8 as Glasgow nearly found out to their cost. For the record I thought the track looked great today and held up well until that bleedin monsoon at heat 8
  5. P down in Paisley, ....its always P'ing down in Paisley, .....P down in.....ach you get the gist
  6. Its the Glaswegian twang he's developed that does it
  7. Ah but just to muddy the waters further, the BSPA have previous for not just taking the points away but awarding them to the other side making a difference of 6 points! lol Its a well worn phrase but it does just highlight again why its so hard to get the media and sports channels to take speedway seriously
  8. I get what you are saying guys but if Sheffield go through by 1 or 2 points I think you might find that Berwick feel they have been penalised although you can never say what an NL rider would have scored. To be honest, I was just trying to be logical about it as I read it as 'poor Sheffield being treated badly' which was probably a misinterpretation!
  9. Geez that Edinburgh paranoia must be heavy to carry around all the time
  10. And by the same logic, why should Berwick be penalised for it? WE all know and have been saying all week that Sheffield arent entitled to a facility and an NL guest should be used. the rule book states that. It doesnt allow for rain offs but there are precedents - SCB has already pointed out Coventry had to bite the bullet and go NL when it happened to them last year - so I dont see Sheffield had a leg to stand on in this one. Yes the apparent actions of the Management committee are shambolic but Sheffield were trying to get a dispensation that shouldnt be allowed so why should Berwick be penalised?
  11. a subs no use, its bikes he needs..... boom boom! Silly Sunday mode engaged
  12. do you not have to get management committee dispensation to re-sign/re-declare a rider that had already been released by you in the same season?
  13. Was the Sheffield team not already declared for tonights meeting at Berwick as well though? (genuine question, I dont know)
  14. nah they arent important enough for folks to bother
  15. it is - thats why I think about it cos its similar. be nice if he is as inept at scoring points as Officer Krupke on Sunday lol
  16. Err...I think its the lesser Tigers of Sheffield that Berwick are due to visit rather than Glasgow
  17. HT just one question - were you wearing your shorts? lol
  18. whats football got to do with it Paul? must admit I expected you to take longer than 30 seconds to respond! With gating like that mate how are you fixed for Sunday at 3pm? lol
  19. he's a closet rangers fan Jacques - what is there to question?
