  8. In a press conference before saturday's GP meeting in Krsko it was announced that Krsko will host the opening round of 2008 GP series. The meeting will be held on April 26th and is a part of a two year contract that AMD Krsko has with BSI (the contract is for the 2007 and 2008 meetings).
  9. According to this website: http://speedway.gp.prv.pl/ Mikael Max has ridden in 56 meetings but hasn't won a single one.

  11. We've had quite a lot of rain yesterday all over Slovenia but it has stopped now and the forecast for the next few days including Friday and Saturday is for the dry and sunny weather.
  12. Hope to see a lot of you down here in the sunny Slovenia. It should be another great meeting on the Krsko track. If anyone fancies a pre-meeting beer with yours truly, give me a shout.
  13. It was pretty tight in the first two bends but Emil was just so fast that Chris had no chance. Emil went to win with a big margin and Chris had to work hard to stay in front of Puodzuks.
  14. Saifutdinov was off gate 3 and Holder off 4.
  15. It was open to any nation that wanted to take part. And Sweden actually did, but sent a weak team to the semifinal in Austria and was eliminated: http://www.speedway.si/index.php?option=co...d=806&Itemid=86

  17. No, we are not really surprised, because we knew that Jurica was one of the favourites to receive this wild card. What was more interesting was the whole story around nominations for this WC spot. AMD Krsko, the organizers of GP of Slovenia, wanted Pavlic to get the wild card, but Slovenian federation AMZS rejected their proposal, claiming that they want Slovenian rider to get the chance to ride in Krsko. AMD Krsko was very upset with AMZS who then nominated Izak Santej to the FIM. But Croatians reacted quickly and nominated Pavlic as a candidate for wild card spot and as it seems SGP commision (or should that be Ole Olsen?) agreed with them and gave Jura a chance to taste the GP series. Slovenian fans have different opinions about this situations. Some say that wild card for Slovenian GP should go to Slovenian rider and others say that Jurica will definitely bring more crowd to Krsko than Santej or Kolenko would. In any case, it will be very interesting to see what Pavlic can do in this meeting.

  20. I don't think there will be Live updates from today's meeting in Lendava. At least our team from http://www.speedway.si will not be doing them. I suggest you check ST Lendava website http://www.speedway-lendava.si after the meeting, results will probably be posted there.
  21. Today's practice in Daugavpils was quite interesting with the track being the main issue. It was prepared in a very unusal way and almost all riders had problem with it. Scott Nicholls commented that even the tractor guys are afraid of going out on the track. Matej Zagar said after the practice that the material on the track is very soft and that tyres he used were almost the same after the practice as they were before it, as if they weren't used at all.
