Berwick Vs Edinburgh 12/8 Live On Sky
spittalbandit replied to bigeddiechek's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ok not lot of passing . However great result . Atmosphere was best i have seen in ages at berwick. The good thing though was the amount of new people st the meeting. I brought one myself and they enjoyed it . Hope arron and matty not too badly hurt . As to matej kus stunning at minute. As i said pre season he was all up for it and had sorted out head. So all the doubters plz eat your words.should have been in ht 14 same as should have had extra ride at redcar. Hopefully team managment can learn . Alex still ok imo thats paid 18 in three meetings fair return from reserve. -
Who Will Make The Playoffs ?
spittalbandit replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Could see it being a north group and a south group. If as expected edinburgh top financially they would probably prefer local teams ie berwick and either newcastle or worky if that the way it finishes with somerset picking ippo and ??. However if berwick finish second dont think financially as good for any of the teams. Less away fans travelling from somerset or ippo due to distance. -
Berwick V Sheffield 9th Aug 2014 @ 7pm

Alex proving to be a decent team change paid 15 from two meetings. Long may it continue. One week all seven will fire at same time. Hopefully tuesday.... -
Maybe i am in minority however i feel this is positive move. Liam has not let himself down but imo it was maybe a year too early. This now gives him a chance to build up his confidence and look to improve his equipment. If he isnt scoring at PL level its just a black hole money wise. Now he will be able to ride for his NL team with what is probably good equipment at that level and hopefully try to get sponsorship for next year . I hope he is again in the team next year and gets some guest bookings at pl level in remainder of this year. As to alex . If he hadnt had the injuries i honestly think he would have been a decent rider for berwick . He is easily capable of banging in decent scores and hopefully does. The one thing it doesnt do is weaken us. I am more worried about the hot n cold form of matty amd david at present. Steen and kevin seems to have sorted their initial probs in main team. Claus solid and matej not an enigma anymore.

Plymouth V Berwick (pl) 30th May
spittalbandit replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
imo it dpesnt weaken or strenghten us. the way team built we always solid with a very strong reserve. steen capable of good points in main team and matej been banging in good scores from number 3 so should pick up some high scores from reserve. basically we could keep changing reserve every month. with matty weathers steen and matej. -

could be wrong but looked at averages effective from today and vissing goes to number 1 and matej kus to reserve. if i have it wrong happy to be corrected. -

spittalbandit replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The way team is built it could be one of they seasons where our top reserve changes month to month. anyone bar probably vissing and bellego could feature at some point . in reality we could see a reserve on 6 or 7 points. either way we should always have one of the top reserves in league. nice to see liam score yesterday and all he really needs to do at moment would be to get a point or two in reserve heat. as i said on yesterdays meeting thread his point meant 4 league points if team keep scoring steady i can see good season. -

well done bandits. solid team performance. and it just goes to show every point counts. liams point the difference between getting 3 or 4 point away win. think jensen could be one of the biggest improvers on aversge this year. keep it up boys ... -

If fans talk to riders they can find out whats wrong. matej is very approachable and will tell you last year for him was a bad time. initially starting with the sad death of his room mate in argentina. then things just didnt go right at redcar. this season his initial problems were mechanical with problems with exhaust valves on bike. now they are sorted and we are seeing the real matej. I have known matej as a friend since before he came to the uk and i can honestly say he looks happier than i have seen him for a long tome. In his heart he has always wanted to ride for berwick and if he hadnt got injured in his second meeting in his previous stint he would probably looked on by fans with the same esteem as adrian and michael. Hopefully his confidence will stay high and scores will continue to be high. -

to be honest it doesnt actually bother me claus missing this meeting. as i already said its really only a fund raising friendly. i had only looked to see how he was doing in denmark and was surprised when i saw he wasnt listed. -

good result. liam carr looked much better def on the pace. matej kus looking the part now that engine sorted. steen what can i say wonderful to watch aggressive but fair. vissing and weathers good all round steady performance. kevin doolan only one still not gping as good as would excpect from number 1. for sheffield simon stead superb only beaten by matej kus. andre poor first three rides but last two good. lanham and poole not as good as thought would be. bates and nielsen tried their best. but think bates found track not to his liking. probably could have done with bit water on track about heat eight but that just nit picking. all in all good result for bandits in a meeting i thought would be tighter. hopefully 18 points advantage is enough
