  1. Picked up a shoulder injury in Poland at the weekend, rode at Wolverhampton on Monday and made it worst. That's what I read on british speedway site
  2. As the meeting was awarded before the season started how did they know Oxford would get a healthy following.
  3. Other than 1 suspended rider and those that are injured, and I bet they'd all prefer to be uninjured or not suspended isn't the only one missing Hans Andersen due to a prior engagement. Maybe there should be a month of no racing so no riders cant get injured too near to the day
  4. As could the fact that he's an entertaining racer who excells around Plymouth
  5. Sillyboy Shovlar won't be happy 3 weeks to go and full lineup not announced
  6. Steve you don't half talk some tripe. There's been plenty of passing at Oxford this season. The reason Dickie the Gater struggles to pass is because he's Dickie the Gater. You actually posted after your last visit that it was a good meeting
  7. He didn't fail a standard test, his test was not negative. That may well be beaurocratic nonsense. But he hasn't tested positive or negative until the results of the tests are proven and publicised.
  8. It does seem a long time, tested trackside and deemed Not Negative sample sent to laboratory and still no result in, it cannot take a week to do the laboratory test, surely
  9. There could still be Ad breaks as meeting continues while the Ad's are on and the TV coverage plays catch up.
  10. I think that Jan Staechmann would be a useful addition to the group of people presenting on Eurosport, maybe even the BSN
  11. More chance that they'll delay the start due to queues to get in then fanny about with an overlong parade and only completed 10 races by the time it rains. These kind of meetings need referees trained by Mr Ebdon
  12. Asking for a mate Can you pay on the gate at Poole
  13. Is marketing allowed in British Speedway ? I thought most promotions used the open the doors and hope someone turns up policy
  14. Apparently it's because it cannot be deemed positive until a laboratory test on the sample has been carried out. So the test isn't negative as its shown a banned substance. But it cannot be deemed to be either negative or positive without verification by a laboratory.
  15. If you had a huge Worldwide company who splashed a few dollars to buy the rights to the FIM Speedway Individual, team and pairs championships. Maybe they could hire the Olympic stadium at Stratford Plenty of room in there for a pretty big track and lots of spectators
  16. I'd agree that George Congreve could probably do a job for another CL team. At the end of the day signing for Newcastle was a bad move for him, it must be one of the hardest tracks to master in Britain. Then with no disrespect to the rest of the team they didn't have the strength in depth to be able to carry him until he got into the groove. On the IOW riding on a track of a type he is more used to riding he's showing what he can do. We have few enough riders in this country as it is so hopefully depending on Leagues and strengths of them in 2023, someone will take a punt and give him a teamspot.
  17. Didn't Alan Grahame get special dispensation to ride while using a medication on the banned list which was prescribed back in the 80s ?
  18. They're selling fast according to what was announced during the meeting tonight.
  19. There's a trophy to be potentially won, a stronger team no doubt stands a chance of making the final and going on to win. Or go down the Newcastle route and put together a weak team and expect miracles. I know which team build I prefer
  20. One of those meetings where the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. Some decent racing , Dillon Ruml in heat 6 was worth the admission on its own. Fairplay also to Jamie Courtney and his team, hottest day on record and no clouds of dust.
  21. The rain was a big leveller that night and Justin Sedgeman had a fantastic debut for the Brummies
