  1. The silence is deafening! Anybody with any clues as to what occured and what is the plan (plans), if any, for 2014?
  2. I think the quote above yours maybe answers your question?
  3. Without the fans, they wouldn't have a club to take the financial risk with.
  4. So, on a lot of tracks, when riders are on the back straight, the armband wouldn't be visible? Brilliant!
  5. They've still got the footy Premiership(s) which will keep punters fairly happy.
  6. What about the rest of the PL riders? Not just 'top PL riders' in the EL. A few PL second strings and even PL reserves ride in the EL.
  7. Whose teams are made up of a lot of PL riders.
  8. Work out the income without Sky/AN Other, then, if there is to be a TV deal, that's a bonus.
  9. 5th April http://robertlambertracing.com/profile.php
  10. So are the likes of Buxton (as an example of NL teams) expected to 'move up an notch' or the whole of the PL expected to 'move down a notch'?
  11. I stand corrected! Just that I didn't see anything more widely advertised (if advertised is the correct word!), although I admit not to follow every club (be it EL, PL or NL) on Twitter/Facebook etc., I thought I might have seen it somewhere! As I say apologies, although my original post wasn't to 'have a go' at anyone. Also, as a footnote, it's great to see you back on the Forum, Bryn and I hope you are getting (or got) near to your usual self.
  12. I haven't seen any fundraising activities from the Isle of Wight concerning an 'Air Fence Fund' type thing, yet Buxton (and others) started theirs months ago. I just hope they haven't left it too late.
  13. As are a few folk, apparently, which is why the attendances drop (apart from BH Monday's maybe).
  14. I can almost guarantee Newcastle won't switch back to a Monday. Monday night matches are always less well attended than Sunday evening matches.
  15. Next season. He wants to ride in Poland in 2014.
  16. I believe the GSI agreement means clubs aren't allowed to show races on their sites.
  17. Final Green Sheet Averages:- http://www.speedwaygb.co/issues13/pl13_final.pdf
  18. Not unless they have been promoters before. I think any new promoters have to wait 3 years before they can vote at the AGM's.
  19. Businesses (in this case speedway promoters of each and every club), surely, should budget on 'worse case scenario'? So budget for no TV deal, lowest crowds etc.
  20. It's likely to be a different owner (if not new promotion) though, so who knows? A whole lot depends on how much the new owners have left after buying the club, as to how much they have to spend on new riders, be it loan fees or buying riders outright, for 2014. Who are the current list of Sheffield 'assets'? Anyone have a definitive list? As the new owners might have to go with mainly riders who are Sheffield 'assets' already.
  21. Hover over the persons name you wish to send a PM to. Click 'send message' and type your message and then send your message.
  22. Craig Cook has said he still wants to Double Up in 2014 (see the 'Doubling Up - Should It Be Allowed' thread).
  23. This hints that isn't going to happen (thankfully):- http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.23131
