Biggest Improver 2014
StevePark replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That would be asking a heck of a lot --- but I hope your right! -
How do you know they (or their representative) weren't? Of course (before anyone else jumps on it!), there are people who can't get to the tracks, for instance those in ill health etc. But for those who can, then I agree with you entirely.

It is the Polish authorities who have put a block on their riders riding in PL, Nothing to do with PL/BSPA.
-
I would have thought only if the track length changes?

The "09066" number used to be the Speedway Club Call, which was an information line (when clubs could be bothered to update it) concerning the individual clubs (each club had their own number).
-
No. Reduction only for riders who have ridden in NL for last few years.

Who's "bragging"?? Merely pointing out a fact. Newcastle are charging £330. Why would Newcastle Speedway ask me anyway? Also, if you could post a link to the Sheffield Press Release re Richard Hall it would be appreciated (or PM me it if you like). Ta, -

I know it's totally off thread, but I'll reply anyway. Presumably that was a 'dig' at me. I have been asked to do specific jobs by the Management, so hardly a 'hanger on' (I realise many others get in without paying and don't appear to do much). The savings I make for the home matches go towards supporting the team away. -
Might have to make a change as Jason Doyle has been refused a UK Visa, according to Paul Burbidge on Twitter. Not the only Aussie having problems, apparently.

Not most expensive, as Newcastle are charging £330. They are obviously not very good at research full stop, as they earlier in the thread claimed Richard Hall had been sacked by Sheffield, which wasn't the case either! -
That is who I was thinking of! I did say "in my opinion" and "potentially." But from what I've seen, I honestly believe he could be 9 -10 pt man in PL.
-
Without sounding flipant and not wanting to put pressure on anyone, Newcastle potentially have a big hitting number 1 in their team already (my opinion only, of course!).

As far as I am aware, he wasn't sacked, he stood down after suffering a shoulder injury, which flared up again at Newcastle. -

What has this got to do with Newcastle 2014?
-
Not sure, but I'm pretty certain he'll have some kind of PL average above 3.00, which would exclude him from being a number 8. His NL ave is over 10 which means his PL ave must be over 4.00 and IF you have a 3 pointer at reserve your number 8's average would be over that of someone in your 1-7, which, surely, wouldn't be permitted (although this is speedway, so anything is possible!!).
-
If it's the riders own fault he gets injured, yes, but it may also be down to other elements like a chain snapping or another rider hitting them etc., that's where the luck comes into it. Any promotion can put 7 fantastic riders in their team, it only takes 1 or 2 injuries to completely mess things up.
-
Luck can play a massive part in how any clubs' season goes.
-
Hardly Pepe's fault he missed meetings. Blame the rearranged fixtures, rather than the individual.

The other way would have been not to make the draw until it was decided if Peterborough were going to run in the PL, or not. A few weeks delay wouldn't have made much difference. Once a draw has been made, you can't really go back on it. -
It'll be more that 20 meeting though (16 league meetings, 1 KOC and 3 League Cup is 20, but you'll have the usual 5 or 6 challenges against Edinburgh as well ) but I agree £340 is a bit steep. Newcastle are charging £330 and also £30 to park in the Car Park for the season!
