  1. He sure is but to the unique way speedway is run you can be out of contract but must still be declared in your old teams 1 to 7 until they sign a replacement.
  2. What a dust bowl…..watching this tonight you can kind of see why this sport is dying on its arse
  3. I’m not too concerned about the result, our home form will hopefully see us remain unbeaten at Foxhall & we go really well at Oxford. It was always going to a tough with out the Leicester track specialist Dan. In terms of of the track Leicester is like Foxhall consistently slated by away fans & some riders however those with true riding ability like Emil seem to have no issues. The only concern I have going forward is not replacing Doyle as that will scupper us in the play offs & the KO cup final. Nicholls is an Ipswich legend & in many ways it feels like he has come home this year…..almost a full time witch. However as good as he is at Foxhall to win the league we need a much stronger rider at Sheffield & Belle Vue as it’s clear we will need to beat at least one of those in the playoffs to take the title. We already know we have to go to Sheffield to retain the cup.
  4. If the will is there it would be interesting to test that legally. Regardless of the reasons a rider is released from his contract but can’t move elsewhere to earn a living as he has to remain declared in a team where he is no longer under contract. Only is speedway & highly illegal I would have thought.
  5. Tonight’s fixture has just been postponed due to the heavy rain forecasted for this afternoon & evening.
  6. I’ve read that Tobi is far from impressed with the unprofessional way Lynn is run compared to how Swindow & Sheffield have ben during his time there. He’ll either be back at Sheffield as a replacement for Tai or Ipswich in place of Doyle….
  7. What’s up with Kemp? A few years ago at Ipswich he was the next big thing now he seems to have become a journeyman
  8. To be honest I don’t want that jumped up little t?£t anywhere near Ipswich.
  9. I think that was 1990 but could be wrong!
  10. Could be between Tobi & Zmarzlik I have a hunch the latter might be interested in coming over from August 1st
  11. I’m not sure what Kurtz has done wrong here? If he has made a come back for his Polish side & then withdrawn through a reoccurrence of the injury & hasn’t ridden since in Poland clearly he isn’t fit. Nothing to defend here it’s common sense really. now if he rides in Poland with no issues & then misses another Belle Vue fixture that’s a different story.
  12. That would certainly be a coup for Louis & Co! You never know that could well happen sign him just before the cit off, 1 meeting in July 5 in August & then cup final & play offs in September & October it’s not a busy schedule.
  13. Certainly the right call it’s been heavy rain here in Ipswich since 9am & no sign of it letting up yet
  14. When was the last time Nicholls was a Foxhall ever present?
  15. The Tigers certainly don’t look as strong as the Tigers select side from last year
  16. I’m just so please Chapman never got anywhere near running Ipswich.
  17. I know this topic has gone left field talking about football & speedways reliance on guests and doubling up. The issue is that the sport in the uk hasn’t shown any imagination or desire to grow and become strong in the last 30 years at least. If truth be known it probably didn’t in the heyday of the 70s & early 80s either. I dearly want to see speedway become a sport that is taken seriously & one that has its rightful place as a decent spectator sport. I know that it won’t ever be like Poland here but I’d be happy with decent media coverage and the remaining tracks we have being secure. However to much that goes on now makes that impossible!
  18. I’ve been attending Foxhall since the 80s and I have also gone to various other tracks over the years. The advertised start time has always been the parade time with tapes up typically 15 mins later. All this fuss over start times get a grip.
  19. Scott Nicholls keeping up 100% Foxhall record for 2024
